We're supposed to go to the Luau at the Polynesian tomorrow, it looks like it is going to be raining and may be cancelled. I am so bummed! We will be at Sea World in the rain on Friday. Yuck!

I hope it doesn't rain for you. I cannot imagine it raining all day. Living in the area, that hasn't happened since April. Hang in there and either way - you are on vacation and going to have FUN!!!!

I have been watching it on the local news. I don't think we have anything to panic about yet. We are in good hands with the Captain. As long as we are on the ship, just make sure everybody packs phone numbers in case you need to cancel your excursions if you are not booking through Disney.

Looks like we have a storm.

I was looking at this on the Weather Channel this morning. Unless their predictions are wrong and the storm gains strength and changes paths, I don't think we have anything to worry about. TWC actually shows it being an unorganized storm and loosing strength. It was reported that Hurricane Hunters actually had a hard time locating the low-level circulation. Here's an image of the predicted path from TWC:

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I think we'll be okay!

I feel lucky that we're on a Western instead of an Eastern next week! Although I have to say, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with a double-dip at Castaway Cay!

Well 4 1/2 hours till we are wheels up and on our way to Florida. So I'll see everyone on the Disney Magic. Everyone be safe traveling. Anyone who is at Friday's Halloween Party keep an eye out for someone wearing ablack and red Barrett's Haunted Mansion t-shirt that will be me.

I'm glad that someone else mentioned the storm. I debated mentioning it to give our non-FL people a heads up, but I didnt want to induce panic.

Looks like we will be in the clear though. Everyone have a safe trip down and welcome to Florida!

(and this is not my first Disney cruise!!)
I've taken five cruises - two Carnival (July 1995 & March 2002) and three Disney Cruises - 3-night Wonder (not nearly long enough!!) - Eastern, Dec. 2000 & 7-night Magic - Eastern, May 2005.

I don't think that anything compares to the Disney cruises!!

But this is my first time on a DIS thread and I had so much fun!!
I am really looking forward to meeting everyone that I have "talked" with on this thread.
We are also looking forward to decorating the door and having fun with the FE's (neither of which we have done before).

I was so glad to learn about this DIS board.
