Who is going to be dressing up for the Pirate Night? DW and I are seriously thinking about going all out. Anyone else going to get in the spirit with us?

My DH and I will be dressing up. At least I know he will for sure...already have his costume...still working on getting one for me. I think we may have my DSIL and DN talked into dressing up as well, but I think they are still looking for costumes also!


To everyone who's joined in since my last post-WELCOME!! I am honestly amazed at the number of DIS'ers who are going to be onboard!

I sure hope everyone else is a lot more organized for this trip than me! It's so unlike me to be like this, but things have been crazy lately. Anyone know when we should be getting our docs??

Also, I have a quick question about luggage...When we've cruised in the past I was thinking that there was a limit on the number of pieces of luggage that each person could have-but now I can't find that info anywhere. Can anyone help me out with this? I know airlines have restrictions, but we aren't flying, so that doesn't apply to us. I could have sworn that there was some kind of limit that DCL had in place, but maybe I'm just crazy! Anyone else know?!

I should repost that for anyone did not see that. I made these Mickey Ears for the Stateroom doors. You can print them on magnetic paper to stick on your door. Or you can make them out of paper or card stock, laminate them and then place magnets on the back of those. The link is in my signature at the bottom of my posts. Here they are:

Hey Everybody - I am starting to do some packing and wanted to let you all know that I am a magazine junkie and will be bringing every one on board. I read on Deck 4 or 9, rip out a recipe or two and toss - so if anyone is interested in reading: Bon Appetit, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Southern Living, Sunset, Coastal Living, Family Fun, Better Homes & Gardens or Family Circle, please let me know and I would love to pass it down rather then tossing. The kids will be in full pirate costumes. Geoffrey will probably wear white button down, jeans, some kind of pirate sash (that I need to make), and either Goofy or Mickey pirate hat. I will be wearing black/white striped skirt, Minnie pirate shirt, sash, and pink pirate/princess Minnie hat.

We thought about making these as FE gifts, but was not sure since we had posted them and we thought someone might have already made them and would have a duplicate.

Costumes for the pirate night??? I'm so jealous!!! The best we've done so far is get tatoos for everyone from my sister in-law's college in N Carolina.....I don't even know how to begin to think of costumes for my crew of 8? Suggestions anyone?

go to a local party store, or oriental trading...we have picked up a few things over the years....DD9 has the CUTEST t-shirt from target....skullncrossbones....adorable. DD11 has twisted her own pirate do....I personally prefer my goofy pirate hat, but I'll be wearing a special pirate 'do'....

I don't think DCL limits you, just what your room can physically store!

sorry disneyminnie, just realized I forgot this earlier....DD11 is Payton and DD9 is Brooke, I am ANGEL (couldn't ya guess) and my momma is Bonita (yes, she is pretty, lol) I am from down South, so she will always be 'momma' hehehehe, I am a bit giddy, thinking how close we are....and I don't even have my docs yet, my TA still hasn't seen them Maybe they are finding me a really good upgrade
I'll take a 3.....dreaming....

prdaniel, I might priceline and cross fingers for Hyatt, haven't decided yet...

WDWEnabler, yeah, I will be wearing 20 extra glow in the dark bracelets, and of course, my mickey dress, I won't have DH with me, so GOOFY better watch out, I have had my sights on him for some time

Tips for the day: don't forget to put your empty suitcases under your bed, have your stateroom hostess remove your table (from the room) for extra room....I will be thinking of more...oh, several different color highlighters for the navigators, clothespins for your curtains (I will have extras), if anyone needs duct tape, I always have it on hand. DH looks in my 'extras' bag, and asks..last weekend...why do you have DUCK TAPE in your bag?..... you just never know when you might need duct tape....time for disney dreams
