08 was so Great at the Poly...TR-NEW 2/3 Time to say Good-bye (final post) / pics

Thanks for sharing about the walk! I checked out your walk page too - I'm jealous - a 5K?? Our walk is this little tiny loop - it's ridiculous. The first year - right after Zachary was born - the walk was longer - through downtown Manchester, NH but then they moved to Fisher Cats Stadium (our minor league baseball team) and we pretty much walked around the parking lot. :confused3 Two years ago they finally extended it and we were able to walk a little further around the city - but then of course it rained! :headache: Last year they moved it to Nashua and it's sort of a nature walk through the woods - not the best idea in Southern NH in the fall - a kid in our area got EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) last year. :scared1:

Sorry it was chilly... two years ago it was pouring rain when we walked. No fun. :sad2:

I'm still trying to find our team page, but my login seems to be messed up since they converted the system over. At least our NH walk is showing up now...

Very nice mini tr Scrappie-do! The walk looked like it had a get turn out. My Godson got to be on a mile-marker poster for the Boston Dana-Faber cancer walk 1 1/2 years ago...big blue eyes and a big bald head...it was too cute. (thankfully he's in remission).
Amy: that's awful that they moved your walk to the woods of Nashua....it should be in Manchester and at least go around both the Verizonwireless Center and the Fisher Cat stadium! I'd love to check out your team if you want to PM me with the link.

I almost forgot to banana dance for your 500th post...

I'll email you the link once I get it figured out... I'm afraid our old team page may be gone since they converted to a new website. But I'll PM you the new one when we get it up.

How do you do just the drawing part without going thru the whole thing?

did you find the answer....:confused3

go thru the Animation Gallery store to the right of the entrance to the AT itself. to the back of store and you can enter the area where the characters are and the drawing part (Animation Academy)

all thanks to DisZip

and thanks for the comments about our participation in the walk. It was chilly but really cool...ok that was dumb it's getting late ladies...not really, it's not even 8 pm yet, but I'm going down fast:faint:

and thanks for all the dancing and the cool smiley face man...haven't seen him in awhile!

Thanks for posting that question on the other board...they let me leave the trip boards every once in awhile :rotfl2:

TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM TODAY!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Getting more and more excited each day...Mae likes to look at our Mickey head countdown and count down the numbers (I better get some more of those home depot heads to finish the calendar I keep forgetting. I'm going thru our lists and making new lists (but of course) as well as finishing up some things non-Disney. Last night I finished typing and printed out the social stories for Michael which will end up being really helpful for all the kids. I've cleared off most of my dresser for packing stuff and have 3 suitcases currently spread out on my floor(plus 2 more in the twins rooms). I also tried on just about all the outfits I plan to wear down there to make sure everything fits and looks good...am I anal or what?

Last night I even went over how many pairs of underwear we should pack for each person...don't even get me started on how many diapers to bring for Margaret....

With so many things coming to an end and summer quickly approaching with "blast off" on this trip...it's hard to know where to lie my focus, but I'm really excited to fianlly feel in real DISNEY-TRIP-MODE with all of you!

Well let's get to some more fun and hope you enjoy some more TOP 5's and some trips down memory lane...

Here we go with the TOP 5 from my Mom and DH! Plus some promised pictures from our trips in the past :hourglass ….please tell me you won’t laugh at my hair in the 2nd set…after all it was the mid 90’s

So we’ll start with my Mom.

This is a picture of her from our 2005 trip……
100_0102.jpg

This will be my Mom’s 8th trip to the World. Her first trip was in 1975 with just my sister and Dad. (I was just under 1 and home with my Grandparents) Unfortunately I don’t have a picture to share as they were wrecked in a very bad flood my parents had back in 1987.

But her 2nd trip (my first) was in 1985 and here are a few pictures:

Scan10006.jpg

Scan10007.jpg

(I'm the brunette)

My Mom’s TOP 5 favorite things are a combination of things she’s never done and a few all-time favorites from over the years:

1) SOARIN

2) THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE

3) BUZZ LIGHTYEAR’S ASTRO BLASTERS

4) THE NEMO MUSICAL at AK

5) THE MAD TEA PARTY TEA CUPS

Now onto to my DH’s:

First a few flash back pictures of us on some trips:

This is us back in 1994 (newly engaged)

Scan10008.jpg

Scan10003.jpg

Here we are in 1998 at Chef Mickey’s with Dale
Scan10005.jpg

And this is us at the Studios in 2005
100_0986.jpg

and flashback to the same location in 1994
Scan10004.jpg

His TOP 5 are truly a combination of his all time favorites including a ride you can no longer go on unless you’re visiting the 100 Acre Woods.

1) MR. TOAD’S WILD RIDE

2) PIRATES OF THE CARIBEAN (SORRY CLOSED FOR REHAB)

3) DINOSAUR

4) MALESTROM

5) BUZZ LIGHTYEAR’S ASTRO BLASTERS (which on the phone last
night talking to my Mom about her’s he thought I said Afro Blasters…
now that would be funny)

Now because I want you to keep coming back I’ll give 5 clues 1 to each of my TOP 5 for this trip, let’s see if you can guess them:

1) I’ve never been on this thrill ride in search of a big white…..

2) Floor 13 please…..

3) This is the best thrill IMHO, get ready for blast off….

4) My favorite childhood ride and I almost cried on it back in 05 with
the kids….

5) The best Parade ever!

The ticker is ticking faster these days and I have lots more things checked off my GIANT TO DO LIST!!!…before we know it, it will be 1 week away, 1 day away and we’re off (luckily missing the $15 per checked bag charge by AA by only 10 days….)

Next PTR installment: Reveal of our Final Day

Thanks,

MouseScrapper aka (Scrappie-Do) & (J-):tinker: :mickeyjum

:wave2: jenna WELCome to my PTR...glad you stopped by and said hi too.

Awsome on the adult only trip...DH and I thought of doing that for our 10 yr anniversary, but instead I was pregnant with Margaret and we bought a new home....

It'd be so fun to see & meet you, let me know if any of our days match up!

Thanks for the sweet comment about my family and here's hoping you have a pixiedust: magical trip too!

Ps just noticed your weeding date...we were married too in 96 (7-20) Happy almost 12 years!
Hi again! Thanks for the anniversary wishes! Same to you! I've been meaning to stop back & catch up but it's been crazy around here. I'm sure you know the feeling! Anyhow, our trip has been changed to include the kids! I will look back & see if any of our days match up! (I've been changing things around since I found out there will be kids involved;))

5. Spectromagic

Am I close? :rotfl:

Spectromagic - which I've never seen :scared1:

I can't believe they'll be able to get away with that... it'll either become mainstream to charge by the bag or they'll do away with it because nobody will want to fly American! We checked 6 bags, I think, back in October - I figured that would be $110 or something like that - the 1st bag is $15, each additional is $25 (per person) - I think they are crazy!! Especially since you can't carry on liquids anymore - you almost always have to check at least one bag. :confused3

I LOVE all of those old photos!! I'll have to try harder to find some of my old ones. You are getting so close! :cool1:

Hi Jenna,

Thursday June 5th: no parks/DTD
Friday 6th: AK
Saturday 7th: MK/Epcot/MK
Sunday 8th: DHS
Monday 9th: Epcot (afternoon to eve)
Tuesday 10th: DHS at night
Wednesday 11th: MK
Thursday 12th: Epcot (Opps I gave it away for my next reveal....)

I forget, remind me your days again?

1) I’ve never been on this thrill ride in search of a big white…..
I thought that was a trick questions because the Yeti on the actual ride is brown...but all the toys in the gift shop are white like the Yeti on the Mattihorn at Disneyland.

Great update Scrappie-Do....and I must say... you look more youthful today then in the 90's!

Our dates are June 8-12.

Nothing is set in stone yet;) but we will most likely be at MK on June 11 in the morning/afternoon and Epcot on the 12th! We might be able to meet up one of those days!:cool1:

That's sounds great, keep me posted and feel free to pm we can exchange cell #'s or something. The Wed 11th may be our best choice as the last day we'll only be at Epcot for a few hours till we have to depart...

That is too, too funny! :rotfl2: :rotfl: about the Mickey panacakes, my DH even made a real tiny one for the baby to eat. He also made regular and bluberry pancakes too. The kids wanted him to put blueberries on Mickey's face for eyeballs...;)

As far as packing I have started, but not finished. Pulling more stuff out today and on Friday I'm going to the store to buy all the last minute needs and such...will be posting about that soon!

Hey, thanks for the 8-day dance too....the other day, I finally picked up the missing MH's for my countdown calendar and had the kids update with crossing off more numbers and DH is like what about me? Can I do one? ;)

You know what your making for breakfast next weekend now huh?

With my PTR quickly wrapping up and under 10 days till my family and I leave for our long awaited vacation/ADVENTURE at WALT DISNEY WORLD (Happiest Place on Earth) (Mickey’s House), it is time to give some THANKS!!!!

THANKS TO:

My wonderful (and tolerant of my Disney Obsession) DH, Matt and all the times he let me sit at the computer and type away on these boards and plan our trip. Thanks for helping me with copying, laminating, binding, cutting stickers, formatting this and that and dealing with my craziness of planning and planning and planning….Thank you for taking me and the kids once again to WDW!

My fun and amazing Mother (Kathy) who has accompanied me on just about every Disney trip I’ve taken. Thanks for playing along and letting me be in cruise control. Thanks for paying for our DDP and probably a few other things once we are down there. Thanks for loving Disney almost as much as me and wanted to go again with us and helping with the kids!
(and thanks to my Dad for letting her go, airport travel, watching our house and taking care of our dog while we are gone.)

My great kids who are just as excited about going to Disney as me! Thanks for behaving (for the most part) while I sat at the computer and worked and had fun planning away. Thanks to the baby Margaret for only turning the computer off once while I was typing in a huge long post…and hanging out by my feet under the computer most mornings….
