Oh, and BTW!! I just want to let all of you know how mad I am at you for stealing the 2000 pirate!! (Yes, Wendy, this means you!!) ;) pirate: I went to bed and got up and we hand jumped like 50 posts!!!! :scared1:

You need to stay alert there be pirates around!pirate: :lmao: :rotfl:

What do you think of when you think of Chicago? I would like to include something "Chicago" to put in everyone's stockings. Since deep dish pizza would be too messy AND difficult to transport, I need some ideas.... We used to make Fannie May chocolate and Frango mints, but they are now made elsewhere.

They have brunch on all sea days. Sun, Mon and Thurs. Thursday is all that is available right now. They release more times at the 45 day booking for folks who book then and they hold some back for onboard booking for folks who do not use the web. Yes, there are still a few of those! So, if you want a different day, go ahead and book the Thursday just to make sure you do get a time, then try to modify it at the 45 day mark, at midnight EST or go to the Palo booking desk as soon as you board and ask if they can reschedule you to one of the other days.

And welcome back! :)

I'm quoting myself, which is scary. Worse than talking to yourself I think! :lmao: BUT, I need to CORRECT WHAT I WROTE....The day for booking is 75, not 45 days out. That will be Sept 24 I think midnight, so really Sunday Sept 23 at 9pm PDT, midnight EDT. Sorry, I read this again and :scared1:  wanted to make sure I corrected it.

I just updated the blog with the latest Pirate count, and a link to BethC's photo album!

It is fun to try to come up with something from your area. I am not too familiar with Chicago. Just been there a couple of times for meetings, one just for 2 days another for 5 days.

I love seeing all the pictures. Thank you. I don't know how to post pictures.

That's what you get for going to bed...Hey you snooze, you lose pal!

Neither did I before I became addicted to these boards :surfweb:

What I did was go to www.photobucket.com. You can create a free account, and then upload your picture into an album. You can also create sub-albums.

Once you have that done, then you can link your photos onto the board. Or share the album out, so that folks can link to it. PM me if you want some help with it.

Thanks Wendy:grouphug: , I will be brave and try.

I'll take a good Gino's East type of pizza, I'm fine with that! :)

Not sure what else comes to mind, other than Hot Dogs.

I LOVE Chicago, but especially Pizzeria UNO!!! But I could see that would get difficult to work with. Also, you have the CSO (Chicago Symphony Orchestra), the Cubbies/White Sox, the Bulls, the Bears, the Sears Tower, the Great Lakes, WOW!!! So many great things up there!! I thought about bringing something from Arkansas, but I didn't think anyone would like mosquitos or rice! :lmao:

Ok so a bag of rice, a slice of pizza and some moss/mold from Oregon. These stockings are gonna get pretty messy!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh no, now I want pizza and I want it now. Apple pie, chocolate, pizza (I can do without the rice, one week I had to eat rice, turkey and water for all meals...checking for food allergies......so no rice for me). Chicago does have good hot dogs too. OK, food is ruled out.
I am not sure about the sports things because everyone has THEIR favorite teams.
We have a great lakefront, Labor Day weekend we went down to Millenium Park and took pictures of Cloudscape aka The Bean. Maybe I'll have to think about some Chicago landmarks. If you ever have a chance to visit Chicago, come during Taste of Chicago, it starts the last weekend in June and runs through 4th of July. Great food ops, ribs, chezzebogers:rotfl: , you name it, also great free music concerts with big name people. It is a great party. All on the beautiful lakefront. We also have terrific museums.
WIFamily, I know you have Summerfest in Milwaukee, but I have never been to it. My firends tell me it is wonderful.
All that said, we are about 35 miles from downtown Chicago and only going into the city a few times a year.
Is Arkansas known for mosquitoes?
Oregon for moss? I have never been to Oregon (yet).

:rotfl: That is funny!
Let me think what we could bring from Texas. . .
cowboy boots and stetsons
or
some steaks and Tex-Mex?
