Sounds like everyone got what they wanted then?

I was so excited to log in and see how everyone did on their ressies and the boards were down again :badpc:

We are also confirmed for Palo Brunch Monday at 1030 - same day we have our group request in.

And we've got one table for 3 for Dinner Wednesday at 6pm and another table for 2 Thursday at 6pm.

I meant to say all 5 of us adults are booked for Palo (not 7).

Hopefully we'll see Navigators from the Sep 1 sailing soon:coffee:

I did read that you can't reserve hair appointments :sad1: so Im going to try calling and if I cant do it that way, I guess I will be doing my own hair for formal night..

I think I did hear somewhere that you CAN book hair appointments for formal night, but not until you actually get on the cruise. So I can just see it now; a large group of women making a mad dash as soon as they step foot on the ship to make sure and get a hair appointment!!! :scared1:

I can't get it! It tells me that I'm not a Castaway Club member. After six cruises, I most certainly am a member! I think the problem may be that I've moved since my last cruise--perhaps the system doesn't recognize me. I've just sent an email to my TA at DU requesting that she fix this immediately. I"ll let you know what happens!

I dropped Bill off at the airport. There actually are people up at 6 am on a Sunday. I was shocked. :scared1: It was easy getting in and out of the airport (DFW Airport) this time of morning. :thumbsup2 Bill will get to the Yacht Club around 1 PM (EST). He is going to Epcot this afternoon. Today is his "free day". He already purchased his discounted ticket through the conference. - Jennifer

So, were you not able to make your excursions/Palo? The DCL system was having some MAJOR problems last night. Most likely it is there computer system. You may want to try again. :goodvibes - Jennifer

Bill (and I) almost had a heart attack last night when we logged in to book our excursions and Palo and we got an error message that stated we were NOT paid in full or they had the wrong birth date information. We kept looking at our paperwork that said balance $0.00 and triple-checked our birth dates. In the end, it was a glitch in the DCL system and EVERYONE was getting the same silly message. - Jennifer

It wasn't last night, it was immediately before my post. I worked 13 hours yesterday in the hot sun (that last big event is now history!!!) We raised lots of money for local youth organizations, some money for the local independent living group, and some money for the Australia Wildlife Hospital (Steve Irwin's family business). By the time I got home I couldn't have managed to open the lid on my computer, never mind try to get a reservation!:rotfl: But now I've slept for about 12 hours and don't have to worry about things like hurricanes and floods upsetting the event (never a real possibility but always a good subject for nightmares). I really want to get this set up so I can start worrying about the next phases of my vacation plans. I still can't get my entire family to commit to the places where they want to eat at WDW, so I'm going to make the decision myself, and if they don't like it, they don't have to eat!

We also have to set up the tent and waterproof it, and make sure that my air bed really holds air. I'm not ready to sleep on the hard, cold ground for five nights! I have blankets, comforters, pillows and matching sheets for the air bed, but never actually checked to make sure it would hold air!

I'll let you know how the whole reservation thing works out. It's the first time I've ever had a problem with DU, and I know that they'll fix it for me right away!

I am picturing women making a mad dash to the Vista Spa on embarkation to make hair appointments for Formal Night, like the wedding dress sale at Filene's Basement in Boston. I never thought about getting my hair done onboard for Formal Night. Now you have me thinking I may want to do it too. I have no patience in doing my hair. It is usually put up (to Bill's dismay). It might be nice for him to see me all "prettied up". - Jennifer

DCL was having problems with their system yesterday AND last night. So, I thought they might be experiencing more technical difficulties this morning. Most likely, it is not a DU problem but a DCL problem. Angie was having problems w/ the DCL site like us and DU contacted her at 11 PM (via e-mail) to help her. Which makes us plan to transfer our next cruise to them. There was no help from AAA for us at 11 PM. We just got a recording, same with the DCL phone number. Good luck on getting everything squared away! :goodvibes - Jennifer

Thanks! I see that there are still problems with some areas of the site. I'll have to be patient! We really want to be at Palo on Wednesday night, but if not, we'll get there some night!

We're not doing any of the most popular excursions, so there shouldn't be a problem getting what we want (island tours). I just really need to get this all set up so I can move on to all of the other things that didn't get done while planning for "the event"! I have more dirty laundry than any two people should ever be able to generate, I haven't vacuumed in two weeks, and with three dogs and four cats that can become a problem!

We have one short-haired dog (mutt) and I still have to vacuum at least twice a week! Well, the kids don't help either. Usually as soon as I am done vacuuming, the dog rubs his back all over the floor like he is itching or just trying to test me! Also, he'll give a good shake when I'm done and I can see all the hair flying in the air. Emily loves to brush JJ (our dog), but he still has hair coming off. Arghhhhhh! - Jennifer

Yep, you just need to head up to the salon as soon as you get onboard. :hourglass I've never gotten my hair done there, but DrHug has gotten a haircut. They did a nice job. Last trip we got his haircut at the barber shop at MK along with DGS. I have cute photos of DGS and Grandpa getting their haircuts.

The good thing is that you can get all your other ressies set now. In the old days you had to reserve everything after you boarded. It was hard to decide what to do first, Palo, Spa, excursions...what to do.
