Thanks for the welcome! I'm going to read through the posts tonight, which will keep me busy for quite a while, and get all caught up on what's going on.

I'll see all of you in six months and three days!

Beth

Thanks for the info! I wonder if I can take all the pictures I want in an hour ;)

Seriously though, how would you plan it? Do the ST John Trunk Bay (through Disney Cruise) and then do the Skyride after? I'm assuming the Trunk Bay excursion leaves at a set time...

I think the Trunk Bay leaves in the morning, if I remember correctly. You should have time to walk across the street, ride the skyride up to the top (maybe 10 min for that) and then spend time taking photos, browse the few shops there and head back to the ship with time to spare.

:woohoo: FYI - The prices on the t-shirts have gone down. . .
Adult - $7.99
Child - $5.99

Maybe, those that want to purchase them can? Color: LIME

Thanks for keeping an eye on the price for us! Promo code BONUS10 WILL GET YOU ANOTHER 10% OFF AND PROMO CODE SHIP75 WILL GET FREE SHIPPING OVER $75 I ordered ours - all 13 of them!! This is a great deal, I got all 13 shirts, 11 adults and 2 children for 89 dollars! Can't beat that for lime green Disney Shirts. We will be wearing ours to the port, the 3:30 meet on deck 10 and to the sailaway party. PARTY ON :woohoo: :woohoo:

Do we have any talented designers among us that would like to tackle a logo of some sort to iron on the back? Has this group "earned" and identity yet? :upsidedow

So jealous! Dennis so wants to do another Disney trip or two, but alas.:sad2: ..I keep telling him we have to FOCUS on getting the house ready to sell so that we can retire and do even more Disney! Focus, focus!

When you are up to your neck in alligators it is very difficult to remember that your task was to drain the swamp.

Hurray up and "drain that swamp" so you can spend more time at Disney! :thumbsup2

Just as soon as we can get these alligators off our behinds we will pull the plug quick! :lmao: :lmao:

Hi, fellow cruisers!

We'll be joining you! (Nothing like a last minute decision, right?) This will be our seventh cruise, all on DCL. The others have all been four-nighters on Wonder, including back-to-back four nights for Thanksgiving, 2005.

As it stands now, we'll be just two 50+ adults, I'm Beth and DH is Jim, although I'm still trying to convince my DS, DDIL and granddaughter to cruise, too.

We'll be celebrating our 35th anniversary (the actual date is Dec. 30, but we can't get away at that time).

I tried reading back through this thread, but I'm at work right now and I really should be doing other stuff, so I'll have to read some more when I get home to find out who else is cruising and what's going on. I did see that there's talk of a meet on 12/8 at some time, some place! I guess I'll need a few more details.

So now I'm going to get my countdown into my sig, and start thinking about all the cruise details. We may be staying at WDW the night before, but we may also spend a few days in Jacksonville with my brother and then have him drive us down to the port in the morning.

In the meantime, check out the links in my sig if you want to find out more about us! We can't wait to meet you all!

Welcome aboard Matey! pirate:

We just celebrated our 35th this past March. A cruise is a great place to celebrate. :thumbsup2

Anyone else going to :santa: MVMCP(Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) at the Magic Kingdom? We are going to WDW before the cruise. So, I purchased our tickets yesterday for December 4th.:cool1: Also, I made all our ADR this morning.:cloud9: I am a lot more organized this trip than our last.

I am looking forward to that!!!!!!!! :beach:

We're doing MVMCP after the cruise. I already have our tickets.

:goodvibes THANK YOU FOR THE PROMO CODES!!!!!

Have you attended :santa: MVMCP before? If so, how was your experience? The kids don't know that we are going. We've seen the WDW Christmas Special on the Travel Channel. So, they know what it is. We may just surprise them.:rolleyes1 I can't wait for the tickets to arrive. How long did it take for you to receive the tickets? The transaction just "cleared" on my bank account. So, I am hoping that means they are on their way.:cool1:

Jennifer, we did MVMCP once and it was very special. Fun evening. We did a Thursday night, which helped with the crowds. The Friday of the week we went sold out, so I would assume it was pretty crowded.

I remember you mentioning before about attending MVMCP. Thank you for explaining the ticket situation to me. It made sense and helped in our decision to pay for the MVMCP tickets. It looks very special on the Travel Channel show. We can't wait for the kids to experience it! I am hoping a Tuesday evening won't be too crowded. I have read on other threads that you can get into the park as early as 3 PM with the :santa: MVMCP ticket.
Does anyone know if that is true?

I'm not sure just how early they let you in, but there were folks entering around 4 when we went. We used our hopper passes though and were there much earlier. We then just got our wristbands early as soon as they set up for that, then they herded us all into Tomorrow Land while they cleared the folks out. It worked out well because we got right into the area where they made the free photos before the lines formed for that, then we watched the Christmas show and headed over to get some hot chocolate before we headed out of Tomorrow Land when they opened the park back up. It really was quite fun. Tuesday should not be too crowded.

Here's my dilemma.....our friends are cruising with us. This will be their first Disney Cruise, they are not DISers (yet.....maybe after the cruise?) Should I order the lime green shirts for them also? They will be with us most of the time and I don't want them to feel like they don't belong, but on the other hand they are not DISers. What should I do?

I ordered for our whole group. I do hope to get them all hooked up prior to the cruise, but even if not they too will be with us everywhere and therefore "in-law DISers." This DIS group is not too large so a few more that we can "covert to the cult" onboard will be a fun thing! ;)

Ok, I'm talking to my wife now about MVMCP, after we get off the ship. Looks like the we could go on the 16th. Might be good, get off the ship on the 15th, rest that day, relax at NickHotel on the 16th, then go to WDW for the party in the evening. She's *thinking* about it. I'm finding info and pictures for it now. :)

OK, if you think it is ok I'll ask them if they want shirts. Just wanted to ask DISers before I ask them.
