Last night my DW had here wallet stolen at the grocery store in NC. The police have actually seen the video I called all of her credit cards and bank to cancel them.

Today the bank called and someone reported to them that they found her wallet. They are going to mail it home. I don't know what is missing but all of cards are cancelled anyway.

Aww.. I'm sorry you DW had to deal with That nonsense.. Tis' the Season.. I leave most of my cards at home and Bring only the essentials when I Holiday shop.. for that Very same reason..

Lets hope she has her Drivers license and other IDs still in tact

Time to take a break soon and get the master bedroom all cleared out so we can shampoo the carpet then get it "staged". All I can say is this place better sell and we better make some money from all this work!

Better safe than sorry brack!!! I bet Annette was SO upset, poor thing. I'm just glad the police found it. Money can come and go, credit cards can be replaced, but a lot of things people keep in their wallet is more valuable than both!! How is she doing?? Is she ok??? Give her lots of when she gets home!!!

Speaking of which.... did you guys see the news story and video a few weeks back of the person (can't remember if it was a man or a woman) who had their grandchild of about 3 or 4 years of age crawl under some sort of barrier to steal someone's purse? Then the video shows the child crawling back out to its grandparent dragging this woman's purse behind it. I mean... what the....?

I have to say though that I have been driving w/out my DL because I am scared to death of misplacing it . Have all of our documents ready to go in a folder... Just hope I don't get pulled over for anything but if I do all of the policemen know who I am because all of their wives are teachers...

I agree. Violence and thievery is something that I have never understood why people do it. Like I've said before, I work in insurance and I'll never understand how people can hit another person and then just drive off, or break into someone's house WHILE THEY'RE THERE and rob them, or why someone would key someone's vehicle. I just don't understand the behavior or need that people feel to do that!! I understand times being hard and money being tight, but if someone really needs the work, there are jobs out there to be found. Ask Tina. She TRIES to find people to fill jobs, but people just don't want to work. I don't WANT to work, but I know if I want to provide for me and my family and have the things we do and travel where we do, then I have to work. Makes sense, doesn't it???

The bank had video of the people trying to use my ATM card to get cash, but wouldn't release the tape without a request from the police who basically brushed me off even though I told them they could have video proof of who did it. I guess they figured going after some purse snatcher wasn't worth their time.

I know that everyone should be treated equally but it helped that Annette's family has some law enforcement ties. The police went down to the store right after it happened and reviewed the tape. They could plainly see the woman take it off the counter when Annette turned away for a minute. I don't know if they can identify her or not but they do have her picture.

That was here in NJ... Grandpa.. had his Granddaughter slide under the door and snatch the purse..
