Yes you can!! And after breakfast we go wine tasting some years. There are literally hundreds of wineries within a 20 mile radius of our house. Then Friday night more board games, or dart games, or whatever. Saturday will be just a down day of visiting. Last night DGS18 was talking about TG and getting excited. He said "I love our family! I just can't imagine not having a big family!" He is excited to see all the cousins, second cousins twice removed, etc, etc.

Ok I am sooo Jealous...

I'm packing a sleeping bag, a pillow and Lots of Credit Cards..
I'll grab a box, make that 2 boxes of Salt Water Taffy to share.. Can I pick anything else up on my way ??

Christmas ?? What about me! Chanukah starts on Dec 4, that is the first nite (and DH's bday), we leave on the 8th. I will be on the ship in the middle of the holiday! I am gonna double gifts the kids for the first four nites!!

How fun for you to be sailing during the holiday! It is hard to plan all the holiday activities and a vacation at the same time though.

I am happy that Trader Joe's has come to GA. I love TJ's.

I did not know we had one! I will have to look it up and I am sure make a trip into the ATL.

Today I have a bunch of to do.. ANd this weekend I will Vacuum and Dust and make sure I have ALL my clothes ready for DH to take with him, IF he drives down next week to the house I LOVE not having any checked luggage

Truly all are welcome. This is our big celebration of the year. Our kids do Christmas with their inlaws, Thanksgiving with us. Funny story, our niece (Spoiledbrats3) walked up to her brand new mother in law, on her wedding day, in June and said "Don't ever expect us for Thanksgiving, we go to Aunt Angie's!" I thnk that was the moment that it really hit me how important this gathering is to all of our family. For her to even think about Thanksgiving 5 months ahead on her wedding day spoke volumes to me.

So who IS going to be going shopping on Black Friday? Do you go every year? Is it a tradition for you? What time do you actually get up to go? Do you kinda wake up, roll out of bed, dress and go? or do you shower, have coffee, breakfast and wake up even earlier then the stores open? I am curious where / how "Black Friday" got it's name

If you're "in the black" does that mean you made a Profit.. or is that "in the red"

I haven't in years..at least not first thing inthe mornign. Imay go out later to get some DVD's for a good price from Target.

Yes, and "in the black" means they made a profit. "Red" means you are losing money.

I'm a little proud of BAB.. We have a Tshirt, PJ's and a stuffed Manorah and Dradels for our animals for Chanukah... and.. I'm sorry I know I botched up spelling, I'm sure..

DH left... and he gave me a Company Credit Card to go shopping today or tomorrow for ALL the canned foods... I need food for the BoyScounts, Food for the Police Station in town, Food for the local Radio Station... but I'm wondering if it ALL ends up at the same location.. The Ocean and Monmouth County Food Bank

Hey, I just earned a free frozen turkey or ham or lasagna from Shoprite. I don't do those (well we do turkey..but Empire). Is there aplace I can donate the frozen item too??

How did you sleep? Well I hope..

I slept very well, thank you for asking! The Nyquil really kicked in and I feel better this morning. I have had a cold all week as I went from 80 degrees in TX to 40 degrees and rain in the great Northwest. Oh well, I fly back tonight and I cannot wait to see Jennifer and the kids. Thank you to all of you that were DISing late at night (since I am on the west coast right now) as it made the time away from home go by a little quicker.

Awwww That is really nice to be able to have that in a Family.. I don't personally have Grandparents so I borrow DH's.. But now that they are in their Mid 80's it is so hard to plan things with them..

We use to do Christmas Eve, every year at their house.. But having 3 grandkids and 10 great grandkids got too much for them..

I do miss it though..

But hey... LESS Christmas gifts to buy and wrap for me and more DCLs!!!

You got the day after off? I always thought that everyone who worked retail had to work that day. Which is one of the reasons I never want to work in retail - black Friday is MY shopping day

I don't work black friday. I only work when my kids are in school.
