Krisann:

I haven't managed to get my trip report posted yet, but I have gotten some of the pictures posted here.

I'm working on the trip report and on getting the rest of the pictures posted. Hopefully all of that will happen this weekend!

Krisann, so sorry to hear your dear husbands gall bladder problem. Wishing him a speedy recovery and lots of pixie dust and blessings your way.

well here is an update on my hubby:

recap: on Friday early am (like 2 am) he had pains so bad we went to the ship dr. and was seen - sent back upstairs, 2 hours later we went back down at 7 am - was there till after 11 am - never got off for castaway cay :( but his pains got better while he was on percacet - dr. wanted us to get off ship - boat to island and then fly to orlando but we managed to stay on ship till we got in Orlando - we changed plans and did not go to disney instead flew home a day early and went straight to dr. here.

He then sent us on for ultrasound which hubby did yesterday and they have sent us to surgeon ASAP and now he will have his gallbladder removed at 6 am in the morning!

so this was an expierence to say the least. He was to return to Iraq on Saturday but will now be home for 2 more weeks while he recovers.

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes from before! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas season.

Krisann,
I'm so glad you finally found out what was going on with your hubby. Robby and I will keep him in our prayers for a speedy recovery!!! :grouphug: :flower3:

No, our cruise price is the same as they quoted on the ship. Plus we get another $200 onboard credit on top of the $200 Disney gave us for booking onboard.

Krisann:

 I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I am glad he has been properly diagnosed and can be pain free. Like JoAnne, I had my gallbladder removed. It has been almost eleven years now and no attacks since. The pain is unbearable, like a heart attack. I know it was probably scary for you all. I am VERY glad your DH had the surgery and had his gallbladder removed. He was very lucky to have it act up now and not when he was back in Iraq. Things happen for a reason and now you get a little more time with him and you just have to baby him a little. Please tell him, we wish him a speedy recovery. :flower3:

...The thing that would really get me to re-book was Castaway Cay, that was such a great day; everything you want from a beach with no effort. Jennifer, we loved having you join us too; dh was saying on the (long) drive home, "who was that nice couple from Texas again...?" :goodvibes

:goodvibes Thank you JoAnne! It was great meeting your family. It was nice seeing your smiling friendly faces on CC that we could eat lunch with. We found we were more outgoing this cruise than our last because around every corner we saw other DISers. It was nice having friends onboard. Like you, we love Castaway Cay and that is why we have two future cruises booked with DCL. There is no other place like it on earth. We can't afford our own island. So, CC is the second best thing. :thumbsup2

We are out of luck on getting a discount on the cruise we re-booked onboard. Why don't they give any discounts on the suites? I'll have to check with Bill on onboard credit. I'm not even sure what/if any onboard credits we got. I heard "Walt Suite" and everything else was a mumble, like Charlie Brown's teacher. :lmao: We've heard great things about DU from Angie (MrsMork). So, I know y'all will be in good hands with them. :thumbsup2

We hope everyone (that celebrates) had a :santa: Merry Christmas! :santa: Santa was good to us over here. :cool1:

We were in the mall on Wednesday evening and that was fun NOT. I couldn't believe how packed the BaB and Apple store were at 8:30 at night.

DH found a GH3 for our Wii and has not left the upstairs TV most of the past few days. I remind him that the Wii is supposed to be for our daughter. :confused3

On the other hand, I was in Sam's today and got to play the Drums with ROCKBAND. That was very fun.

On other news, we have sent a letter to DCL praising those who deserved it but also to let them know of our disappointment in our first experience. The only way it will get better is if someone lets them know where they are falling down.

We bought TurboTax yesterday and have started to gather all of our paperwork together for that fun exercise. We are planning on spending the weekend cleaning out closets and drawers for the annual Goodwill donation run.

Jim said the same thing. He usually doesn't socialize much, but he actually enjoyed all the people he met on the cruise. I'm still trying to convince him to log on and post here. I convinced him that he knows almost everyone on this thread, and that the ones he didn't meet are just as nice. He said that once he's over the flu, he's going to try it. He has some questions that he wants to ask about DVC, so I told him that lots of people here can answer whatever he wants to know before we make our decision.

We usually use TurboTax also. Our tax return is pretty simple, but it's nice to know that it's done properly so that we can get our refund with no problems!

AAAHHHHH, I am so frustrated right now, I left the boys Disney World blankets at the hotel we stayed at on Christmas and before we left town I went to the hotel to pick them up and they said that housekeeping was gone for the day and to call tomorrow, well I called Wednesday and told the person that answered the phone my story and they said they would call me back well I called again yesterday left my number and description of what I left and still no luck. So I called again today and was told that the head housekeeper was gone and to call back on the 7th. So my question is if my 2 blankets are locked up so tight that no one can get in to get them how in the world did they get in there in the 1st place. I keep asking for the manager but he/she is out too. Sorry, just had to vent.....:headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

I'm still trying to convince DSis as well. I sent you an Email about DVC, in case he's as stubborn as she is!:goodvibes :goodvibes
Thanks! I haven't received it yet, but when I do I'll make sure he sees it. We're pretty convinced that we're going to do it, but then one or the other of us hears someone whose reasons for not buying make us stop and think.

You'll still get the $200 OBC, just not the 10% discount. Then if you transfer to DU before the end of the year they'll give you another $200.

DCL would only give us the $200 OBC on the first week of our B2B, since we'd only booked one cruise onboard. I thought that since there were 2 of us paid and deposited that we'd be able to get the credit both weeks....nope. But we are getting the $200 from DU for the second week, plus the Disney Visa credit.

Oh that sounds frustrating. I sure hope the boys get their blankets back.

If I transfer my 1/3/09 cruise res to DU they will give us an additional $200?
