Julie, maybe the Doc will give you a discount to do the surgery on your "interesting eyes." You may end up in some medical journal someday!
I'm finally ready to get Lasik, but for some reason there's a snafu with the AF getting it done in Europe. The Army folks can get theirs done within a matter of months. I may look into getting it done at a military hospital in the states, as the local Doc said she'd do the prep and follow up work here for me.
I read an article the other day where there's been huge outcry in Australia because some reporter got wind of the fact that the Australian army will pay for its female recruits to get breast implants.![]()

You know if that was in the US, some lawyer would have already talked a male recruit into suing for not being able to get some kind of equal "enhancement" surgery.![]()

So, true. We are very "sue happy" in the US. My Dad's girlfriend is a lawyer and my brother in-law is in his last year of Law School right now. Bill attended Law School too. But, he knew it wasn't for him. It was something he needed to try in order to know it was something he didn't want to do.No regrets!
He is very happy and successful in his current profession.

I was accepted and attended law school.... for two weeks. That was long enough to figure out "$90,000 in debt for this? Uh-uh." But yeah... glad I took the LSAT and was accepted... just equally glad I didn't devote my life to it.![]()
