Yahoo, got my room assignment. Looks like I'm a vampire, deck 2 inside. I'll be hanging out on deck 4, 9, and 10. I'm never in the room anyway, but to sleep and get ready. I'm too busy enjoying most of what the ship has too offer.

So is Deck 2 quiet even if the bars are right above?

Did I read correctly, all the Cat. 4's are booked? Hmmmm! I guess I need to start crossing my fingers and shaking that pixie dust around. I'm very happy with what we have booked. However, an upgrade would be a nice "treat". I think we all knew, when the word got out on the discounts for this cruise, it would fill up quickly. As someone mentioned before, Disney knows how to make money!

Well, that makes you, us, and cruise. So 3 outta 13 cabins...how many others are gonna join us?? Can you imagine if it is all Disers??? Even if it is close, I feel sorry those non Diser's !!!

Can we be added too, we're in 2510 but I was wondering if we might get bumped up. If you are already assigned is there a chance before you leave and do they just contact you are do I just keep checking? What does the Secret Santa entail?

There's always a chance you can get bumped. On my first DCL cruise, my TA called while we were at WDW to say we'd been offered an upgrade. But they don't have to ask ahead of time, and yes folks have had their numbers changed when they go to check in.

Parrots Cay will be over my head. My main concern is the noise from below. I'm bringing my fan to drown out the noise. There should be alot more when we pull in and out of ports, not to mention the vibration.

Not so much. We are 4 booking a 12, so 11 was "guaranteed" as none of the 12s sleep 4. Still, makes me feel a little better that if you booked at the same time and didn't get an upgrade either...misery loves company, right? Hardly miserable, not the right word, but I was really hoping for a split bath at least--it'll be cosy with 4 of us!

Pout. Pretty disappointed. Wasn't letting the lack of Palo bug me, but this--disappoints me. I know, don't book what you're not happy living with. Still, I read so many times first time cruisers are likely to get the bump up, we're celebrating "a big one"...eh. Feeling flat about it. I don't want to post our cabin number publicly, it's on Deck 6, kind of mid-ships I guess. Oh well, I'll keep busy going to look that up...

I know what you mean. Its like when you're playing a slot machine, and you get 2 cherries, when what you really wanted was those 3 sevens in a row.

But at the end of the day, you'll still have a great time. We were in a Cat 11 for 11 nights in the Med. We were midship, deck 6, right down the hall from the laundry room. It sounds like you have a great location, and the kids will sleep really well in that dark cabin.

Hmm...if you are under parrot cay, then you are in a cat 10. Did you book a 10, or were you GTY 12??

The Cat 12s look to be under Sessions and Diversions. Sessions is the piano bar, so tends to stay kinda quiet. The only time I knew Diversions to be loud was during a party the last night where some of the crew did a little show. But even that ended pretty early.

I book 12 gty. I got upgraded to cat 10 inside.

Our last nite on the WOnder, we went to shutters, did the luggage, and never had a chance to do anything else. Plus we had to get the kids to bed!!

You'll be fine. You'll have a smooth ride down on deck 2 - not as much movement as the higher decks. The only time you may feel a vibration is when the ship is docking in the mornings, but I usually hear the docking wherever I am on the ship.

Everyone who I know who's been on deck 2 has loved it!
