You'll be fine. You'll have a smooth ride down on deck 2 - not as much movement as the higher decks. The only time you may feel a vibration is when the ship is docking in the mornings, but I usually hear the docking wherever I am on the ship.

Everyone who I know who's been on deck 2 has loved it!:thumbsup2

Kewl thanks!!

Just don't book an inside cabin on a lower deck if you cruise Alaska. You can hear the ice chunks hitting the hull of the ship, and it is really freaky!:scared1:

If you can, go to the party the last night in Diversions. It's is funny. :dance3:

Wait for that brown truck. Then fill out the documents. Pack. Then get to that beautiful ship. Then enjoy and let your vacation begin.

That would be freaky! I love the movie Titanic. But, it does make me a little hesitant to take an Alaskan cruise. :scared:

I'd be happy to add you! Who are you traveling with again??? I'm sorry I'm having a hard time keeping up lately.

There's always a chance you can get bumped. On my first DCL cruise, my TA called while we were at WDW to say we'd been offered an upgrade. But they don't have to ask ahead of time, and yes folks have had their numbers changed when they go to check in.

Me, DH and 2 princess: 6 and 6 months at travel time

Ok...I knew it wouldn't take too long til I felt better, I'm an optimist. :goodvibes I looked up the cabin location and such, and it's good I think--really near the laundry (and trust me, we need that!), and below the kids' clubs. Actually directly below the movie theatre, so that worries me a little, but the reviews I saw of adjacent cabins (no review of that particular one that I could find) mention how quiet the location was, which is important to us. Looks like it's handy, and quiet. I also like that the insides have the bed at the back, that really seems to make the most sense, though obviously that's not how they configure for windows and verandahs.

I read the cabin reviews here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-staterooms.htm

Does anyone have a different source for reviews?

This is like the first day of school or something "what teacher did you get??" ;)

Kewl...me either. DH just got home. Kids are gone. So we need to decide...chinese delivery or something else...

What to eat ???

 We plan to cruise alone when the kids are older.

Well our kids are 24, 23, 11 and 6. The 11 and 6 year old are gonna be with the grandparents. The price of this cruise was too good to pass up, and well, we really coudn't take them outta school. They will go with us on the Magic next year, hopefully.

So what'd you get?????

Inquiring minds want to know!

My mom says I shouldn't tell. If everyone promises to be happy for me and not to laugh at me if I missunderstood the deck plan and we are sleeping in a life boat. It looks like a cat 9. The two rooms are on the outside near the cat 12 rooms. I am so excited. I changed the cat 11 room we booked on the ship last year to the cat 12 when they were so cheap. I also added my mom's cabin at that time. She is not getting an onboard credit though. Maybe that is why we got the rooms.
PLEASE let me know if I have the cabin categories wrong. Thanks guys.
At least we will be near all the Disers in cat 12. Yeah! You guys are so cool.:hippie:

below the kids' clubs. Actually directly

Joanne,
I think you mean above the kids clubs and the theatre - one of the things that made that location so handy.

I just want to be sure you're not reading your deck plan upside down the whole cruise or we'll never see you!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Jeeze the Pirates and Pages are just flying by.. I need to stop going to work :sad2: I keep missing all the fun

Again, we were busy busy busy.. Not so much as yesterday but it was pretty close.. I was told we have 3 cases of reindeer left.. There are only 24 in a Case  Glad I have my 4 set aside..

What to eat ???

Bill had Chinese food at lunch. He and another co-worker rave about this buffet they go to. Bill joked that he only got 30 minutes for lunch today because of the class he was in. They drove to the buffet, ate and drove back to work in plenty of time. I would have liked to have seen that. :lmao: I stand corrected, I made a post a few pages back that we don't do buffets that much. Bill makes an exception for this particular buffet. :goodvibes

Congratulations! Yes the outside cabins on deck 2 are definitely Cat 9s.
:woohoo: :woohoo:
