I'm planning on putting up Christmas lights today on the roof, since the weather is nice. I do it for two reasons every year, 1 because I love lights on the roof, and 2 it's a good time to check the roof for damage and how the shingles are doing. We have a two story house, so I don't often get a good look at how things are aging up there.

We cleaned out the garage yesterday so we can finally get 2 cars in our 3.5 car garage... darn kids toys!

Sounds like a productive weekend at your house! We have a two car garage upstairs and a one car garage with a shop downstairs. Cannot get one car in either garage. Darn big kids storing stuff! and we tend to be packrats as well

DrHug is struggling with plumbing issues in the downstairs bath. We have a joint in the ceiling that has a pinhole in the solder. Slow drip. And yesterday we got the new vanity and sink ready to put in, after painting and replacing the moulding around the floor and the drain does not match up. Nothing in this house was standard when it was built! So, he has to figure out how to get that black pipe stuff unglued and put in a longer crook neck so it will match up with the drain from the sink. It will be nice when done. We should have taken some before photos, but too late now.

I know your pain. We have been renovating an older home for three years. Nothing was done correctly and the house has had multiple additions. The renovations have gone so wrong that we recently got a cabin to go to on the weekends. I hate going back to the main house on Mondays. I would love to see pictures when you are finished. Maybe it will inspire me!

Cruise: I think you were asking about differant styles of crocks? I have the ballet flats and the mary janes in addition to my pink mickey crocs. They are SOOoo comfy When i worked at clinique i wore the mary janes every day to work, they nearly have holes in the bottom!

Yep, that was me! I tried on a pair of ballet flats at the mall. Those are relatively easy to find now. There was something about the way it hit right at the base of my toes on the top of my feet that I didn't like though. I guess that's why I'm reluctant to buy any of the other kind online though.

My biggest problem though is that the style I want is $19.95, and the Crocs website wants to charge $9.95 for shipping! There's just something about spending half the cost of the item just to ship it that bugs me. But i found them on shoes.com too and they don't charge shipping! So I might order a pair from there.

I am so glad you guys shared these early Christmas preparations with me. I so started to buy a tree at Home Depot yesterday. We were there to build the Black Pearl at the kids' workshop. Anyway, I didn't buy one and I may have to run to town to pick one up right now. We are going to miss a week of December so why not start early? I just don;t know how I will hide everything when the family comes up for Christmas.

Thanks for the XM mention. I listened to it all the time last year. Didn't they have three channels last year? I can't remember. I am so over Radio Disney.

DH and I slept in.. til 9am.. That's late for him.. Watched TV for an hour and showered then we went out for Breakfast.. After Breakfast we went to the Mall and I bought 2 books at Walden's and spent $5.35.. They were 50% off of the Bargin Sale price..

We kinda look around the Mall to JC Penney, Macy's, Sears for a TV stand.. We need ideads for 2 TV's for the Florida house.. I stopped in BAB and showed DH the Polar Bear I want.. He just rolls his eyes My assistant Manager reminded me of the meeting tonight.. I told her I'll be back for it..

We went to 2 other Furniture stores in town and got some ideas so now I will look into Direct Buy and see what they have.. I wrote down a few names and model numbers and prices so I can compare to Direct Buy..

Hopefully this week I will be able to Take down the Halloween decorations and make room for the Christmas ones.. but I won't put Christmas up til the end of November begining of December.. I just can't seem to get myself to do it yet..

Santa was at the Mall today and the Train was going too

I did see a few Christmas Dresses in JC Penney I will have to go when I am alone and try them on.. I didn't want DH wandering around the store while I was trying on clothes.. I never know what he might buy

Last time, it was a $400 suitcase that rolls around in a complete circle and holds his suits and shoes He thought it was the most amazing thing because you can turn it around and get at the pockets in 1 quick spin..

Election Vent. I WANT IT OVER. DH has been getting calls out the wazoo, and someone just rang my doorbell to ask if I was going to be voting democrat, and if not would I be willing too. OMG. I was sitting relaxing, and dis'ing also watching tv, and they had to ring my doorbell for that. I told her I am not telling you how I plan on voting. Are my tax dollars being wasted for this?? OK, vent over now!

DH is also dealing with pumbing issues today. New washers. Should be easy but.......
While we were sound asleep yesterday morning at 1:26am, we heard someone pounding on our door. When we went to check it was the police. He said he just wanted us to know that our garage door is open! Nice to know they check things like that but he scared me. He said there have be a lot of burglaries lately and wanted us to know it was open. My first thought was what happened to who, that the police are here. My daughter was here but my son and his puppy (Ozzie) live in Oak Park. Of course DH fell right back to sleep and I tossed and turned for 1 1/2 hours.
This was a god time change. It was nice being able to sleep an extra hour this morning before church.
A radio station here WLIT is playing Christmas music already too.

We had an Eagle Scout come to the door.. Handed us stickers for our windows that tell EMTs our Medical Information is on the Frige.. He is giving them out in town to get his Badge..

Wow lots to catch up on, especially for a weekend! We did a commissary/PX run today. We bought sooo much stuff. My latest planning obsession is deciding what to buy to keep in the Owners Locker down in Orlando. I think it'll be great to be able to leave so much stuff down there between visits! Now I know what Stacy was talking about with wanting to just be able to travel with carryon luggage to Orlando. Ours won't be that drastic, but it will still be very convenient!

Congratulations on the Stacy! Wow, wonder how many you'd have if you'd been "trying" all along.

Thanks for sharing. He has been sneaking before, and I have been trying to stop it. Of all my 4 kids, he has been the sneakiest. My second oldest DS used to sneak candy, we found it under his bed. But nothing of this magnitude. Geez...he ate a poop load of candy!!!
How did you punish Jasmine??

I don't think she got much more than a warning for the lipstick episode. She was pretty young, and I'd technically never told her she couldn't use my lipstick! But it was about that time that I started to make it clear that her being honest with me is much more important to me than what she's done. If she'd done something like the candy thing, I probably would've taken away the rest of her candy. Usually missing a day of TV is enough to make an impression on her nowadays - she's 9 now. But overall she's a VERY good kid, and doesn't really give me any trouble.

Does anyone have any of the other styles of Crocs than the traditional ones? They've really been pumping out the new styles lately. I was looking at the website and thought I might like to try the "Nile" style, but I've called around and no one locally seems to stock them. I hate buying stuff like that off the web cause you never know how the sizes are gonna run.

I bought the red and black Mickey ones on the ship. I'd never had any before and when I found out how comfy there were, I had to get some!

I am so excited that I have found you. I have been on two cruises and to the parks more times than I can count. I can't believe I didn't know about the DISboards. I found out because Disney invited me to an online discussion group and several moms kept mentioning this site.

I am really looking forward to meeting y'all on the cruise.

That's odd. Around here, they'll take note of an open garage door, and leave a sticker on your door or mailbox. They certainly won't wake us up at 1:30AM about it.

Well I just found out about the Sleigh Rides at the Wilderness Lodge yesterday. I called the reservation line right away (I guess that's where Emi works?) and they are all sold out!
