Thank you for coordinating this. When you are done with your military career, you need to work for DCL as a Cruise Director or something. I just remembered you use to work at DL. You seem to have kept that "Disney Magic" .:goodvibes

- Jennifer

My only concern with the Secret Mickey one is if everyone who's signed up for one of the lanyards is doing the Secret Mickey. I know some of our more recent additions weren't signing up for Secret Mickey at this late date. Wouldn't want 'em to get something that they felt like didn't apply :)
:goodvibes

I agree that the Secret Mickey reference probably wouldn't work for some folks.

:cool1: I found my formal night dress yesterday! :cool1:

It helped having the :dance3: with Bill at the mall.

- Jennifer

 Do we have an "official" name/theme for our cruise? Other cruises seem to have adopted names for their cruise. Any ideas/suggestions?

- Jennifer

Julie:

How is the skirt making going?

- Jennifer

Well, I just got the stuff today. So I went through the process of getting out the fabric, debating washing it first, then realizing it would lose its nice, crisp fold that I need for pattern cutting (and it's taffeta, so it shouldn't shrink anyway). After that I had to run the cat away from the bag as she was trying to climb into it and move it to the dining room table. Where I quickly realized that 4 yards of fabric isn't going to fit for pattern cutting unless I put the leaf back in the table.

But I did actually pull the instruction sheet out of the pattern and "plan" how I'm gonna go about it all. :lmao:

I figure I'll actually get it done the night before our flight. I work best under pressure. :rolleyes1

I had to run the cat away from the bag as she was trying to climb into :rolleyes1

I can picture a cat trying to do that. :lmao: What is it with cats and bags and boxes? You had some cute pictures of them in a box a few days ago. Bill's parents have this gag toy that when you shake this bag it starts moving like crazy and meows like a cat is trying to get out of the bag.

"Cats out of the Bag" :lmao:

- Jennifer

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I don't know what it is about this cat. She loves all kinds of boxes and bags. She also loves it if she happens to get into a plastic grocery bag, if you pick it up and swing it around. You'd think a cat would be howling and clawing to get out, but she loves it. Once you put the bag down, she just pokes her head out with a little meow as if to say "more?" Her favorite place to sleep is on top of some moving boxes we have in one of the closets. :confused3

I usually end up wearing a tshirt when I'm in my bathing suit too just cause I burn so easily. :headache: I got one really, really bad burn in high school and I've had to be more careful since then.

Yes, this quote is from way back. But, I am still trying to get caught up and I can't sleep just yet.

:sad1: Bill had to go to the hospital when he was younger from sun burn. That was extremely painful from what he told me. Since then, he is usually careful in the sun. But, we went camping on the beach (Gulf of Mexico) before our lovely :dance3:. We spent the whole weekend at the beach. I have never burned in my life until that weekend. By the second night, we were both like lobsters. The sand hurt so bad when it itched my skin. We couldn't even hug each other without being in pain. It was horrible! :headache:

Cats and Two Year Olds can be easily amused! :lmao: I took some photos of DS2 and DD5 in the box of new Disney suitcase we received. They had so much fun with that box. I'll have to download the pictures and PM you one.

- Jennifer

Getting a sunburn the first couple days of the cruise is a sure way to make it a lot less enjoyable. :headache: Though I really wouldn't want to come home with one either.

I remember getting a burn on my scalp once right along the part in my hair. That wasn't pleasant at all either. Since then I've been careful to pull my hair straight back into a ponytail with equal coverage everywhere to avoid the "scalp stripe."

This would also explain why DH loves being the one swinging her in the bag too then. :rolleyes1

I'd love to see them! :goodvibes Though stuff like that is usually what really sets off my biological clock. :rotfl:

:headache: I can't imagine having a sunburn on the top of my head. That sounds really painful. I'll have to make sure I have my hair evenly covering my scalp when in the sun. Much to Bill's dismay, I usually have my hair pulled up and back. He likes it down. Sometimes, I have it up in a kind of bun and he calls me Lileth (from Cheers). :lmao: I did surprise him and wore it down on our wedding day.

I don't now what it is about men and long hair. DH likes mine long too though I always threaten to cut it off. I've had it long enough and then cut enough to donate to Locks of Love twice. I was looking at the pictures from our last Disney cruise and it was down to my waist. I'd forgotten it was that long just two years ago.

But yeah, I wear it up and out of my way most days. It's just more practical. :confused3

Bill was reading me some posts the other night and you typed something that made me say "I really like her. She is funny". True story. :rotfl:

:scared: DS2 loves to pull hair and glasses. Which I have both. I tried the contact thing and I just like my glasses better. However, one of these days I will get lasik. Bill got it last year and says he wish he'd done it sooner. So, hopefully next year.

Back to what I was going to type . . . Being a SAHM I honestly don't have time to properly style my hair every day. So, it gets put into a bun or hat on most week days. However, these past few months I have discovered hair bands. I love them! :goodvibes

- Jennifer

I keep talking about Lasik too!

I went to the eye doctor a couple of months ago and asked him if he thought I might be a candidate. My eyesight is pretty bad... I'm considered legally blind without correction. And he said the biggest factor would be my astigmatism. So he said "Come out here to the machine and we'll do a topography of your eye." So I'm thinking, okay... no big deal. He does the little test and then says... "Wow.. come look at this" with this total air of awe in his voice. He brings up the topography of my eye and just points. I'm like... :confused3 Is this supposed to mean anything to me. He looks at me like he's showing me the Hope Diamond and I'm not realizing the significance. So he pulls up another picture and says "This is a normal eye... and this is your eye." He looks at me expectantly. And I'm still... :confused3 Then he starts calling other people in to look at it!! He says "You really don't see it?" And I say "No, but you're kinda making me feel like a freak of nature at this point." :lmao:

So he finally quits with the circus side-show and decides he has to call another eye doctor friend of his to discuss my eyes. It finally boiled down to the fact that they said I could have it done.

I've been in my glasses a lot more lately just because my contacts seem to make my eyes burn after a couple hours now. :headache:
