Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone. So... hi

I couldn't get to the boards for about a week and you guys blew them up!

I've been trying to catch up but I just don't have the time at work and at home I'm busy. So I can only read a page or two at a time, and of course you guys are cranking them out faster than that!

I'm currently on page 186 (and you left me in the dust around page 87 or so) so I think I'm making headway! Hopefully I'll be all caught up by the time we cruise.

But I have enjoyed the extra shopping for the ...

Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone. So... hi

I couldn't get to the boards for about a week and you guys blew them up!

I've been trying to catch up but I just don't have the time at work and at home I'm busy. So I can only read a page or two at a time, and of course you guys are cranking them out faster than that!

Is anyone not a secret mickey participant? If anyone is not a participant I will put something else in that spot for them.
I changed the background to white because I didn't want to run out of yellow ink in the middle of printing 25, no wait 26 or are we on 27 cabins now. Went to michaels this weekend to get the magnetic paper to print these out on but couldn't find the sheets. Still have a while to find some though.
Also made a spot for our DIS Group Photos
Won't be posting much this week because the boys bday party is this weekend and I have a million and 1 things to do before saturday.

Stefanie that looks absolutely amazing, thanks so much for all the work you've put in.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I was thinking this would be more like our "official agenda" rather than a decoration? E.g., something I'd want to have with me in my travel docs rather than on the door. Plus, it's a lot to expect you to print them all on magnet paper. Or am I misunderstanding?

I was actually going to post at some point and ask that my cabin # not be displayed any way, at least in connection with the kids' names or anything that would identify them. (I'd be ok with "coastgirl" and cabin #.) Having not been on a Disney cruise maybe I'm being a worrywart, but in general, I don't have the kids wear shirts with their names, embroider their names on their backpacks or whatever. It'd be different if it were just dh and I. On our decorations, I'll be using their favourite characters rather than their names or pics.

Stefanie I can't say often enough how cool I think that sheet is. I love the way you've pulled so many things together and made it look so fun! The layouts, the fonts and the illustrations...really cool. My kids are going to love it too, I know!

The boys are turning 5? I am already in mourning, I have loved 4 so much. Dh says 5'll have its own specialness, but I just want her to stop growing up!! But I love the birthday party stuff--I hope you're having fun with the details and not too many headaches.

I agree and was thinking the same, regarding the names on the outside of the cabin. Maybe that center section is something I would carry with me, or hang on the inside of the cabin, and make the outside center a white board for notes...

That looks awesome!! I'm zero talented at stuff like that and am always so impressed when someone can do those things.

It'd be great to have it just as a sheet... don't go to the extra trouble and expense of magnetic paper. I got a pack (I think 5 sheets) at Wal-mart for $8. You'd be looking at close to $50 on magnetic paper! Besides, it can go into scrapbooks after the cruise as a single sheet.

Beth or Stacy, since you both are familiar with Brick, I have a question. Is there a way to take a train to Manhatten from the Brick area? Next
December I would like to visit our friend and go into the city to see Rockefeller Center, Macys, etc. decorated for Christmas. The drive from Brick to Staten Island Ferry to subway was long. A train would be so much easier.

DH said get the train in Red Bank and stay on the train until you get to Madison Square Garden.. and then take cab, subway or walk to Rockafella.. about 10 blocks...

He said you don't want to get caught in Asbury Park in the middle of the night.. by taking the Pt Pleasant station... cause you will have to switch trains.. and it is a really late night switch..

Don't forget to vist the Build A Bear store.. It's AWESOME and the biggest one they have..

And the Disney Store !!! and Sax 5th Ave windows.. and... St Patricks cathedral.. and... you may even run into us cause we do it every year

Judy: You don't switch trains in Asbury Park, you switch in Long Branch, and the connection is always right there--you just walk across the platform from one train to the other. I feel very comfortable taking the train by myself at any time.

Stefanie: Your chart is great! Jim and I are celebrating our anniversary with the cruise, but we haven't chosen a date. The actual date of the big is Dec. 30, so we will obviously be able to choose whichever day we want. I think I'll decide once I get my Palo reservations all straightened out.

Its meant to be broken up into pieces the middle large piece should go on the inside of your room door. The days can either be cut as 2 pieces or broken up into individual days. The secret santa mickey should definitely be put on the outside so it tell us who is 'playing' and who is not. The original way I did it (landscape) was just suppose to be cut in half (half for the inside of the door the other half for the outside but I couldn't fit all of the info on it.

I guess I can just print them out and cut them ahead of time then everyone can just bring some magnetic strips (tape) with them. I like the idea of just cutting out the Cruising with Mickey part out. If anybody is doing the DDP I also made these cards for someone who needed for everyone to keep track of their own meals
