They are roomier than the one in your stateroom. I have not showered up there, but it is an option if your DH needs the one bathroom! :thumbsup2

I'm posting at 70 mph again. No I'm not driving but we are traveling through western WV today. We're headed to Weirton and then back to camp.

I'm going to play attention to the scenery now. I'll post later. :surfweb:

Judy: I've used the magnet-paper kits several times, and they work really well. I make a lot of business card magnets for people.

I'm a bit disappointed--I did change my reservation to the Cat. 12 gty and saved a lot of money , but, as a result, I lost all of my reservations:guilty:. I was able to rebook my excursions (and because we saved so much money, I'm going to change my St. Thomas excursion, but Palo is a different story. I was able to get the only dinner slot available, on St. Maarten day at 8:30 PM. That time is fine with me, since our excursion is early and even if we get off the ship again after lunch I'll have plenty of time to get ready. However, there were no brunch times available at all. If we don't get a private room, I'll have to put my name on the waiting list, because by the time we get to the ship I suspect it will be too late. That's unfortunate, because I really enjoyed the brunch more than the dinner!

Oh well, I guess that means that I'll have to use some of that money I saved to book another cruise just so I can have brunch at Palo!

Beth,
Call DCL, they should reinstate your ressies. They were supposed to have moved them over for you - unless they have changed their policies.

Back to magnet talk. The IT guy here just told me about a "kit" he saw at Office Max. He said it gives you the paper and the magnet, you print on the paper and stick it onto the magnet. Anybody tried this? Wendy, it kind of sounds like what you are doing with the magnetic tape but he said it is a full sheet. Think I have a look on OfficeMax.com before I go to the store.

It sounds more expensive to me, but maybe not. I'm loving the tape as I can put it on anything.:cool1:

:sad2: Yeah! That didn't sound right to me, when I read it too. Someone must have dropped the ball somewhere. Her reservations/excursions should have been transferred to the new room. Like Wendy said. . .

Beth,

I'd call DCL.

:thumbsup2 I used the magnetic tape for our stateroom door signs last time. It worked out great. Also, it was cheaper and easier to use than the magnetic paper. Our printer doesn't like "thick" paper. I printed the signs on "regular" paper and then cut the tape for each corner or where needed on the sign. This is what I plan to do again.

I already emailed my TA. I can't call DCL from the office, but if I can't get this worked out, I'll call them when I get home.

I'm so excited about the money I saved that I can live without brunch if I have to!

Beth or Stacy, since you both are familiar with Brick, I have a question. Is there a way to take a train to Manhatten from the Brick area? Next
December I would like to visit our friend and go into the city to see Rockefeller Center, Macys, etc. decorated for Christmas. The drive from Brick to Staten Island Ferry to subway was long. A train would be so much easier.

PS on our way from Brick to Point Pleasant we crossed some rail tracks and saw a passenger train.

I am having the hardest time keeping our trip this weekend to WDW a secret from the kids! Bill and I DID tell Cole. But, who is he going to tell? It was funny.

We saw that they are launching the Discovery on the day we plan to leave. So, we may try and drive down to Cape Canaveral if the launch is still on. Has anyone ever seen a space launch? We assume the traffic will be bad. But, where would be the best viewing area? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

- Jennifer

Judy:

Yes! You take New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line. I'm not sure which stop is closer to Brick--it might be Manasquan or Sea Girt, but I'll bet Stacy will know. The first part of the trip (to Long Branch) is approx. 45 min. . It should be about an hour past Long Branch (I actually live about a block from the Elberon Station, which is also in Long Branch). You may have to switch trains at Long Branch, but it's painless!

Who was trying to get the Private room at Palo Brunch on Sunday? I know it wasn't Wendy...

This just in from Flagger on the other board...

Sunday - CONFIRMED (yay!!!) Brunch with our TA and five other couples in the private room in PALO

I don't feel like going back to find out who was worried about that... this thread is too bloated now ;)

Angie requested Sunday, with Monday as a second choice. I requested Monday, with Thursday as a second choice. Hopefully we'll all get confirmed.

It could be that there is more than one seating for each day. And if they are going to confirm a TA this far out, I'd assume it would be for a less desirable time.

I was told 30 days out. :confused3 I will try and check with DCL and see what's what. :surfweb:
