Stacy: Yup, I know a lot of the story about the five guys. My DS is a Sheriff's officer here in Monmouth Country, (911 dispatcher) and all of the local police departments are on the lookout for these guys. BTW, thanks, I'm starting to feel almost human again. I think I'll survive!

I'm glad to be a part of the "Cat. 12 gty" club! I told Jim what I had done, and that he would have a lot less time in the bathroom now because he'd have to share it with me. His response? He says he's just not going to use the bathroom at all! He was thrilled with all of the money we saved. Of course, he understands that it's "Disney Money" and will go back to them in some way!

Well, it's off to bed. I really need to get a good night's sleep now that I'm feeling a bit better.

Beth

Umm it's not exactly over yet.. There are 2 men still on the run
but Yea.. being upclose to hear them and see their guns.. :scared1:

Over for YOU at least! I guess being that close makes you realize though, it ain't over til it's over...

ALL of our money is 'Disney Money' :woohoo:

I may save it on our room assignment but I'm sure that they will get it back in the store ..... or Shutters ..... or somewhere! :lmao: [/I]

I'm going to bed early too! :cloud9:

Three of us are traveling to Weirton, WV (the panhandle between PA and OH) for a meeting tomorrow. Then we turn around and come back to the camp for a couple more days.

I'll see you tomorrow night. :thumbsup2

He sounds like my dh. As long as they'll still bring the room service! ;)

There is always the showers up in the spa! :thumbsup2

Part of what we have been doing at camp this weekend and today was the executive staff doing calendar planning. Everytime we talked about December I had a hard time not saying "Well we're going to be in the Caribbean that day!" or "We'll be at Disney World!" :woohoo:

:lmao: :rotfl: I have NO problem speaking up when we do that kind of planning in my office. "Sorry, I'll be at DL. Sorry, I'll be at WDW. Sorry, I'll be cruising!" I actually get a kick out of it! Did I tell you DGS's HS band is planning another DL trip in the spring? Sign us up for chaparones!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

DS informed me today that his SR class trip is a Huge waste.. $500 to go to Virgina and Dawny Park.. Half the meals he still pays for not included in the $500..

He said, I'd rather spend $60 and go to Six Flags right here..

Sooo that is one Less thing I have to pay for this year.. :thumbsup2

$175 for SR Pictures.. 6 - 5x7 & 36 wallets :sad2:

Oh and we got a Post Card today about needing a check for a deposit on a Cap & Gown.. :guilty:

What's Next ??

:scared:

At BAB the schedule is Never the same.. You get hours and on calls *just in cases* and my schedule changes each week..

Well I am up to the point where my Manager asks me.. Do you want to be on the schedule next week or will you be away ??

:lmao:

I'm soooo glad they Love me :cloud9:

My cat is driving me crazy lately.

Last night I kicked the dog out of our bedroom. Lately he's been scratching and moving around alot and waking me up in the middle of the night. I brought his cage in from the garage and put it in the living room, so he could sleep in it. You should've seen the horrified look he gave me. :scared1: I ended up just closing the living room door, and he wandered around downstairs all night.

We canceled our Cat. 10--and reserved the Cat 12 gty!
Beth

Good for you Beth. I think you'll be glad you did, that price is just too tempting! I also love the split bath, but with just the 2 of you, I'm sure it'll be worth it. I'll update your info on the blog.

We can ALWAYS use some more Dis'ers on the September 27th, 2008 double dipper.. :rolleyes1

A friend of mine wanted to do the 5 day right before drydock, but it was sold out. I told her to do the Sept 27th instead. I'd looked at it myself, but the date conflicts with a work commitment. I'll tell her there are some fun folks already onboard. :thumbsup2 She'd never cruised before I told her about DCL this past summer. She booked a 10 day Med after they lowered the rates and got a 12 GTY for around $3,000 for herself and her 2 kids. Now she is hooked!

What does everyone else use to fight seasickness?

I suffer from EXTREME motion sickness. However, my life changed when I discovered bonine on my second cruise. The first trick is to make sure you have it in your system prior to travel.

For air travel, I'll take one bonine the day before, 1 the night before, and 1 right before I board. If the flight is longer than 8 hrs, I'll pop another bonine onboard.

For cruises, start taking 24 hrs before sailing, and keep it in your system at all times. On a sea day, I'll take 2 in the morning, then one around dinner time and 1 before bed. When we're ashore, I'll take 1 in the morning and then 1 in the afternoon before we depart.

You can get it free onboard most cruise lines. The reason they prefer to give out bonine rather than dramameine is that you can drink with bonine, and it doesn't make you drowsy. However, for folks like you and I who REALLY need the stuff, I recommend taking what we'll need with us. Just in case!

Also, for some reason the pink chewable tablets work better for me than the generic meclizine that is white and yellow. The white and yellow pills will work, but make me a bit drowsy. (They give out the white and yellow pills onboard). There's no scientific reason that the pink pills work better, and a long time ago I found a bottle of generic pink meclizine that worked fine.

I'd recommend trying out the different suggestions prior to the cruise. Just reading a book in a car will make me sick to my stomache. Or you can twirl around in a chair, or something else equally silly. :joker:

OOops had to change my post... Thought I was the Wench..

Arrgg pirate:

You're back in your groove...congratulations! I'll update the blog.

I can usually get by on a little candied ginger and Bonine. If I'm still feeling it, I'll sip a ginger ale too. The carbonation seems to help for some reason.

Oh that reminds me, I was going to bring some gingerale onboard next time. I wish they had it at the soda station!

What would be appropriate as a "just in case" to carry for the kids?

They now make Bonine for kid and I picked some up. I don't think DD has needed it yet though, so I don't have any feedback on it. You could also bring childrens dramameine to use in the evenings.

Me thinks I need to rack up some more pirate: before Pfishgirl catches up to me arrrrrgh!

Heh heh heh. I know you were being generous and helpful, but it makes me think of the cough medicine with codiene our parents gave us when we were kids--put us right out and we got a good night's sleep. And so did our parents. ;) Dh and I joke about it occasionally. (Kinda like the comment yesterday about dropping the kids off at the clubs--believe me I'm counting the hours!) I have used gravol with good success for myself but never had any need to give the kids an anti-nauseant. (Lucky I know.) In the car's a good time to try it though, as we are driving a full day to get to the airport and ds loves to read--me too for that matter. We can both only manage about 20 minutes in the car before we get queasy.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

When I typed that I was thinking back to my pre-bonine days when I used to take dramameine and go to sleep when I got seasick.

But I must be honest and admit that I have slipped my DD a benadryl when absolutely necessary :rolleyes1

Back to magnet talk. The IT guy here just told me about a "kit" he saw at Office Max. He said it gives you the paper and the magnet, you print on the paper and stick it onto the magnet. Anybody tried this? Wendy, it kind of sounds like what you are doing with the magnetic tape but he said it is a full sheet. Think I have a look on OfficeMax.com before I go to the store.

My daughter has been motion-sick from Disney World to Disneyland and many places in between. When she was young she messed up floors from the Atlantic to the Pacfic. We learned to always have barf bags on hand. Our son who traveled in the back seat with her was very good at bag holding. Peppermint Life Savers helped and also keeping her hydrated. Benadryl made her sleepy=crabby.
