Busy, busy!

Jasmine had her first real soccer game on Saturday (Thursday was a scrimmage). They lost, but only by 1 point. The team was actually getting better throughout the game. Its frustrating to sit on the sidelines and not be the coach. Especially when I've coached 3 of the kids previously, and I know they can play better than that. Jasmine played goalie for the first time, and did awesome. She blocked every attempt, and kicked the ball all the way to the other half of the field!

Saturday night we had 2 more girls over for a total of 4. And Sunday I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell support troubleshooting my computer. They are finally sending me a new motherboard and power supply.

Then we worked on Jasmine's research project on Jaguars. Hopefully she doesn't have a lot of homework tonight!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yea Jasmine !!!! :cheer2: Go Jasmine !! :cheer2: Woot !!

I hope they all at least had Fun :woohoo:

I miss having sleep over parties :guilty: DS & I when we lived on our own would have his friends over ALL the time to sleep over.. Boys upstairs and Girls downstairs with me.. We lived in a condo so they were ALL neighborhood kids so their parents didn't care cause they knew I was an Instant & Free babysitter.. :rotfl2: Although most would send their kids over with Food popcorn::

My cat is driving me crazy lately. The other night she came and jumped right on me at 4am in the bed. Last night, she kept using her scratching post. Between scratches, she'd meow really loudly. I woke up this morning and the small trash can in the living room had been knocked over. These are the times I remind my husband that it's his cat. :headache:

Stacy, on the main forum, you'd mentioned something about being able to take the cruise even though you're working retail during the holiday season because it was booked before you took the job. How did you bring this up? I was thinking of getting something part-time between now and December for a little extra spending money, but it seems like going in and saying "and yeah, I can't work December" might turn a few employers off. :rotfl:

Well I kinda had it "in the bag" from the get go :rolleyes1 My best friend for about 11 years now is an Assistant Manager anddddddddddddddd there are 2 other people working for BAB that LOVE disney :cloud9:

I think if you tell them upfront... I have a cruise booked and can not work these days however, up until then and after then I am able to work whatever hours you can.. helps.. Most of the time they just really Need ALL the people who apply for Holiday help..

Best Wishes !! :wizard:

ok so tomorrow it turns out now half the office instead of DH's 2 secretaries are going to be taking us out to dinner for Boss's Day.. :goodvibes

We are going to Ha Na Japanses Habatchi cause that is DH's Favorite.. Next to Pete & Elda's Pizza.. which is too far for everyone.. popcorn::

DH is trying to schedule the Office Christmas Party around our cruise dates..
it doesn't help that we will be gone 2 weekends.. We leave December 7th to go down and leave Dec 16th to come home.. :cloud9:

I said Hey... YOU picked those dates... and it's too late now to change.. :snooty:

OK, everybody--

After a great deal of soul-searching and budget crunching, I have made a gut-wrenching decision---

We canceled our Cat. 10--

and reserved the Cat 12 gty! Jim and I may have to share the bathroom, but it's only the two of us, and the extra money will enable us to rebook while on board, or to treat ourselves to something wonderful for our anniversary. I think we deserve something for staying together for 35 years!

So if you'd like to remove our room number from any lists and put us in the Cat. 12 gty, I'll update if/when we get a room! We were already booked on Deck 2, so the only thing we will lose (maybe) is that split bath.

Wow! What cruise are you looking to book onboard? I am going to wait to see how I feel on this cruise before we decide whether to book another. I was seasick on 3 of our 5 cruises. Even using ginger and Bonine. If I get sick this time, it will be the end of cruising for us.

I won't know until the end of November which cruise we'd like to book. We have to wait until DS gets his vacation schedule for next year, and find out whether or not DDIL's fertility treatments will work. This month's didn't take. We'll probably book a "dummy date" and then move it when we figure out what we're doing.

Of course, we could take that extra cash and take an extra trip to the world when winter gets to be too much for us--or possibly even take a three or four night cruise then. I'll give up a split bath for an extra trip any time!

I used to get seasick a lot, and I still get a lot of motion sickness in cars, but for some reason, cruising just doesn't bother me. We were on DCL a few years ago in 20+ foot seas, and I never had a problem!

I will change you for the Secret Santa list..

I hope you got a nice chunk of change back.. I'm sooo jealous, everyone is getting lots and lots of spending money back..

We had very rough seas during our last Eastern and I did not get sick. So I hope the same holds true this cruise.

Awwww I hope you won't be seasick for December :santa:

Did you try those bracelets or those patches behind the ears? :confused3 Not too sure what they are called or it what Bonine is..

Here is some Pixie Dust for a Non Seasick Cruise :wizard:

Stacy, any new bears coming out for Winter or Christmas?

We don't get told :guilty:

The snowflake bear coming out is really really cute though.. It should be here in a week or 2... It is the last of the 4 season bears.. and her snowflake fairy costume is beautiful.. Reminds me of Cinderella

Thanks.
Can't use the patches behind the ears, I am allergic to adhesive....can't even use a band-aid. I bought the wristbands and will try them this trip. Someone told me about the little "watch-like" thing that you wear, she told me it really helped her. I may try that.

Angie How is your Brother doing? :guilty: I hope is is getting a little better each day :wizard: I'm so sorry for his loss and ALL your family's lost.. It is such a shame and to happen right before Holidays :scared: That is always tough..

That's Good... I guess I've been blessed.. *knock on wood* I've never been seasick...

Now dehydration, sunburn and fainting... well that's a different story.. :rolleyes1
