So at the 11 month mark, you can only book a 100 points worth of time at BCV? I know you can bank and borrow to get that higher, but I am just trying to understand the concept. :confused3 Also, at the 7 mont mark, I assume you could add more nights if you needed at BCV from you VWL points? Thanks Angie!

- Bill

That is correct. At 11 months we usually book at VWL because we are always point poor! But, yes we could book at BCV and borrow from the next year at the 11 month mark. At 7 months we could use our BCV to add on to our stay at VWL if there were rooms available.

Mrs Mork, last December did ladies wear white sandals, capris and shorts? I still get hung up on the no white shoes & pants from Labor Day until Memorial Day. (yes I am showing my age)

Jennifer, glad you are back, I missed you.

Yes, you are in the Caribbean so summer clothes are very appropriate. I have white sandals I wear to dinner. Short and capris are the dress you will see in the daytime. It is very sunny and warm ----in the 80's.

i had that question too glad it was answered!

Angie:
:thumbsup2 Thank you for the info! As you can tell, Bill and I are both excited by the idea of owning in the DVC. We want to find out everything we can before the monthly obligation. I am looking at it as a "vacation fund".

:cloud9: DVC in Hawaii! We have always wanted to go there, but the hotels are so expensive. That would be nice to have a DVC property there too.

- Jennifer

Dennis and I were talking about you two on the way home from the coast yesterday. Since you both love to vacation Disney style it will probably be a good fit for you. If one of you had to drag the other to anything Disney I would hesitate. Although, even without Disney, the accomodations are deluxe and the service is beyond superior. We are wanting to get out of point debt (we borrowed again for accomodations for my family and to pay for the cruise for DD and DSIL....but how cool is it that we can do that!) so that we can try a week at Hilton Head and a week at Vero Beach. :thumbsup2 Perhaps after the Panama Cruise next year. We are using points for a couple of nights at Grand Californian at the end of that cruise also. I looked at the rates for GC and there is no way we could pay the $$ to stay there, but the points were reasonable. :woohoo:

We are a "roadtrip" family too! Bill wants to get an RV when he retires to travel the country. I admit, the DVD player in the mini-van has been a lifesaver on many trips. I can play "I Spy" for so long! We aren't telling the kids about the WDW trip in a couple of weeks (they know about the December trip). We plan to just wake them up around 4 am and carry them into the van. They love roadtrips and staying in hotels (so do Bill and I). So, they won't fuss too much not knowing where we are going. I can't wait to see their little faces when we pull through the Walt Disney World Gate. :cool1:

- Jennifer

I knew I liked Bill! We have gotten the RV, now we just need to sell this house so we can retire and travel the country! Perhaps someday we will see you along the road!

::yes:: Everyone seems to dress Caribbean style so white is a year round thing..

Did someone say STARBUCKS!!!! No really - did anyone see my post about Palo brunch???:confused3

You may want to get with Wendy (JSMom2) about making sure you were on the list. We could have sworn you were on it but I would verify.

- Bill & Jennifer

We have yet to venture on an airplane with all three children. :dance3: That is one of the reasons we were thinking of doing a Trans-Atlantic cruise in conjunction with a European cruise in a few years. They do great in the car, but I don't know how well they would do on an airplane for six/seven hours. I sure hope the rumors of DCL going to Alaska are true. That would be one of our "dream cruises". The current ones are so expensive. I can't even imagine what DCL would charge!

- Jennifer

You can use DVC points for Alaska cruises too....Holland line I think. :thumbsup2

I'm not joking about it! :thumbsup2

3798 days until I retire!
:goodvibes

That's a lot of days, Brack! I'm under 180 days! (well, if we get this house on the market and sold. I'm supposed to be painting a bedroom downstairs, but what am I doing?):surfweb:

Trying to post a picture for the first time... this may go horribly wrong....
