I got to eat in Club 33 once, it was VERY nice!

We got to see inside on a "secret" tour a few years back. and That's when they caught DH, hook, line & sinker

That is sad. I was a CM at Disneyland (3 years in the park and 2 at the WD Travel Co.) We got to do lots of cool stuff, but you do kind of lose the "magic" feeling. I definitely got it back though when I took Jasmine to Disneyland for the first time. She was only 1, and slept most of the day. But for me it was really special. A couple years later we went to CA Adventure and I had tears in my eyes when she got to see the Electrical Parade for the first time.

The more I think about DVC the more I am leaning towards buying in. There is an intangible emotion tied to anything Disney that you just can't put a price on.

Came home early to finish prepping for the big party tonight. There was an infomercial on Belgian TV for a new beauty product. It heals scars, cures acne, prevents wrinkles, makes skin look younger. What is it you ask?

This morning the alarm went off and no one was moving. And I looked at the clock and it said 701 and I said 'Sh@t...honey you are late' and put my hand on my DD...and then realized I was the one who had to get up now!!!.

My group is full, and I'm not sure if Angie (Mrs Mork) has any space in hers. The good news is that if we do get the private rooms that will open up space in the regular dining room, as we've all booked alternate reservations just in case. So 30 days out, be sure to check the website for openings.

We have the max. 14 in our group already also.

We have done Pirate night in the atrium. Either early diners or late diners have to slip out from dinner for 10 minutes, but it works. We also have taken a group shot on Deck 9 just before the safety drill. We have also done both!

We did too! DIS friends took us on the 39th anniversary of the day we met at Disneyland! How cool was that!!

Yeah Jennifer and I saw Club 33 on a Travel Channel special on Disneyland and we weren't 100% sure what it was all about. Are you purchasing the ability to eat there or are there other perks you get as well?

Catching up so I am not sure if anyone has answered this yet. It is a private club with only 500 members. No new members until someone drops or dies. Last two years no one had not renewed their membership. There is an initial cost to join which can be from $7500 to $10,000 or so, depending on if it is a private or corporate membership. The annual dues are then around $4500. You then have to pay for your meals there as well. Our brunch was $75 per person, not including alcohol drinks. It did include a hopper pass for the day. The wait list is 7-8 years out. Walt and Lillian decorated it and there are some of their personnal pieces there. We felt very close to them when we were there. The service is amazing. There is a limited amount of merchandise you can purchase with Club 33 on it. There is some merchandise that only the members can purchase - jackets and such. DrHug bought a polo shirt, we bought some pins, DrHug bought a watch. Very, very cool!

Coastgirl............ How did you rack up soooo many posts on the Passporter forums I can't seem to even make 1 a day...

Is there a thread like this one ? Like with Meets on it?

I spent a LOT of time there before our two trips to WDW, as we had never been prior to May 06. The WDW forums are great and quite active. The cruise forum, and "surrounding areas" forums, not so much. (Though there's a forum for the Space Coast, and I loooove that stuff, even if the forum can be slow.) They do have community forums, just for hanging out, but I've never ventured in. I found the Dis theme park forums just moved toooo fast, so Passporter was a good place. I feel like I know some of the people though we're not close personal friends or anything. I also like that Dave Marx, one of the authors, pops in fairly regularly with more or less "authoritative" responses. For the longest time, the only place I really visited here was the Canadian forum, which is great too.

I know this is probably a little off topic but I had a real eye opening experience when I was at our manager conference at Disney World. There were numerous people that were bad mouthing this and complaining about that and were ready to go home as soon as they got there. In fact, we got souvenir Mickey ears with our names embroidered on the back and one person had the audacity to throw them away as soon as he got to his hotel room. And he bragged about it! The funny thing was that I didn't feel angry but rather sad. I was sad for them that they couldn't feel the "magic" of Disney. Call me an old sentimental fool (no age comments Jennifer ), but I do "feel it" when I at WDW or especialy on a cruise and I am a kid all over again. Jennifer will tell that I am big kid on the inside, and you know what...I am OK with that. It keeps me feeling young and helps me keep my sanity in a hectic and stressful environment at work. I don't want this to sound like a religious speech, but I hope those people at the offsite can one day feel it as well and experience the magic that we all have.

We just can't understand people that don't "get it" either. We are both still kids at heart and being at Disney allows the real us to come out. Golly, I would hate to have to spend my whole life being and adult!! That is no fun!

Yes, I think so...we are GMT -4. Sorry if this seems really dense, but you're military? My BIL was stationed in Germany (Cdn Forces Base of course, but lots of US ones nearby then) in the 70's and 80's. Dh (then BF) spent a year as a civilian at CFB Lahr in the Black Forest--that's where we got engaged a million years ago when I visited him. We really hoped that he would be able to stay on and I could join him there, but b/c he wasn't military, the health insurance would've been prohibitive...

ETA as I'm finally catching up...um, have you actually eaten dulse? I have, maybe once. Bleah.
