That's a shame - now is the time for us Europeans to visit the US (can your DH's family visit you?) but I'm sure that'll change during this year. DH works for a large US bank so we're hoping the situation gets sorted soon...

His mom and day may come back again if they can. They just were here this past Aug. But the trip is kind of hard on them due to health issues.

Talking about cold. It is cold here in Dallas, TX area, but it can always get really cold here.

But I saw today on the news that Fl. got hit with a cold front.
Anywhere else get more cold today then normal?

Hopefully this year all the credit will become normal again and the exchange rates more sensible, the pound has dived against the Euro now!

Nice and chilly here in NJ - 23 degrees this afternoon! No worries though - the forecast high for Monday is 60! I don't mind so much the extremes (hot, cold), but the crazy variations over a couple of days really drives me crazy. The good news is that the Christmas decorations can come down in decent weather.

Can you believe it?! We won't believe it till we see it that it's going to be close to 60 on Monday. It'll be nice, make all this snow melt!

I hope that doesn't last for you all either. I wonder why the Euro is so strong right now? I would have thought that the pound and Euro where both real strong.
But I don't any money to be bad for anyone or any county just more equal if possible. so we can visit family again.

Sweden is expensive at the best of times - I visited there some years ago and stayed in Gothenburg. Beautiful city... Fingers crossed the exchange rates level out...

I know very naught I could not stand their bedrooms anymore they were very cluttered....My house got cleaned on Monday and you would not even be able to tell by the looks of their rooms...They are pack rats...LOL!!!!!!! Every wrapper/packaging they want to keep...LOL

What is everyone wearing for formal night?? My fav. store is having a HUGE sale and I was thinking of purchasing a gown for my next cruise. DH just got a new Tux. so I thought it would be nice to all be really dressed up this time around................
