Just wanted to add our names to the list of cruisers....the last time we went 04 my DD16 was able to find several great kids to meet up with once we were on the ship. She still keeps in contact with several of them so we are hoping to do the same thing this time.

Welcome Denise! I see your DNiece will be 11. We have a daughter who will be 10 (nearly 11) at cruisetime and there are several other girls in that agegroup among our DIS board cruisers. I'm sure we can get them all to chat or email before we sail!

I have an odd question and wonder if this is True.
I have heard from someone ( this person said they heard this a while back and didn't have any other info about it) that one of the travel channels ( or something like it) trys to tell how the weather will be even way off like our Cruise in Aug. of 2009. Has anyone heard about this and if so is there a web site? I would like to see what it says.

I've never heard of anything like that before. I've seen weather modeling info where they use statistical data to try and predict the odds of precipitation up to a year out, but that's just playing the odds. All I know is that our local weather person gets it wrong on a 5 day forecast quite frequently.

Here's my long-range prediction - it will be hot.

I feel the same way about my summer vacation and I havn;t even finalized those plans since we cancelled the Mexican Rivera cruise

Well, I still have our reservation at the HoJo oppisite DL.
We were going to meet some friends after our Rivera Cruise and before the East Bound Repo.

So We may still go to Calif since we never been out there. spend a few days at DL , and then either head down to San Diego or up to San Fran or both.

Our weather people always give such %'s so that they could also be close.
Like 50% rain today, 40% change and 60% I never really see 90 or 100% until it is actually raining that day.

San Diego is very nice...Sounds like you have some good plans...........................
