Hope's fever is back and she threw up again at 2:30 this morning...UGH!!!!!!

I am not well. I have an infection now from the surgery and am having a ton of pain. Waiting to see what the dr. says the infection is exactlly....They may put me in the hospital on IV meds... so I will let you know. Thanks, soo much for asking!!!!!!!!!!!

 OH NO!!!!!!!!!! Will this recovery ever end for you?! I am so sorry you are going through this. It should not have been this way!

And for Hope  .

Is that how you do that, just have a bunch of dates for them to check availability? How far in advance did you call?

For an Interval International trade such as Williamsburg you can start a search up to 2 years prior to when you want to travel. Getting a match depends on whether an owner of the timeshare you want to trade to has deposited their time/week into the system. I've tried to trade in the past and was not successful; however, our dates weren't very flexible either. We also didn't deposit our week and then wait for a match - which is an option. This time I was prepared with a ton of dates and a choice of about 4 resorts. We got lucky - got our 1st choice of weeks and 1st choice on the resort.

Best advice - be flexible, especially during peak travel times.

Mine too. He's been cooking more lately too!

I think this was a one-off, Abby! But nonetheless appreciated... :goodvibes Why does food always taste better when you've not had to cook it yourself..???? :lmao:

We've been members of II for ages and have never used it - TBH I didn't realise you could deposit that far in advance... One day I'll get all kindsa organised and give it a go... :thumbsup2

We have traded for the Marriott Manor Club, 2 BDRM, for this summer. Good to hear about the kids' activities. Anything else about the resort - good or bad?

We really enjoyed just about everything there, its a wooded area with lots of places to take walks, there is shuffle board, Tennis and a nice Pool. They have a Kids club area that has ice cream socials etc.

In the main building they will have a movie/pizza night, make sure you get the activity schedule - similiar to what you would find on the ship just not as much detail.

The only negatives about the resort was - the bed was very firm although I heard from our Marriott Guide that they have replaced all of the mattresses there, not sure it true.

We also went to Busch Gardens - decent - of course can't compare to WDW.

We went to lunch at one of the old colonial restr. which was alot of fun - I think it was called Chownings(made resrv ahead of time). If you like Barbecue there is a great Barbecue Restr - Pierce's - it was very good. My DH thought it was the best place we ate at. For Breakfast we tried Old Chichahony (sp) its on Jamestown Rd and we stopped there on the way to Jamestown Settlement.

There is also an amusement/minature golf place near there that was fun for an evening.

That's what I can remember, I know I used tripadvisor.com to get some of the restr recommendations etc.

Just to add, its also pretty cheap point wise - I think in 2004 we only used 160pts for a 1 bedroom trade.

Now I want to go back there to, I haven't been to Williamsburg in about 6 years, we went before my DD was born. MY DH and I had a great time at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.:goodvibes

I saw an ad for multi-day tickets to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA - we're looking forward to this trip.

I bought the Best Buy warranty too, which I never do either! But I spent too much money on that thing for it to get broken or quit working within a few years after buying it!

I gotten a few things from BestBuy,
and I get the warranty on the big ticket items. Good thing too, A tivo/dvd unit I got from them failed, Then sent it to repair, came back still didnt work, they then replaced it with a newer unit.
