Hi Everyone! Been away for a couple of days...My daugter has some type of stomach virus and I have tooth that is killing me...It hasnt been a fun couple days!

I tried getting on last night but it was sooooo slow I couldnt take it and got right back off...

Sounds yummy! Pizza for dinner, chocolate chip cookiues for dessert, you are speaking my language Kristin! It's just the kids and me tonight and I have no clue what to do for dinner.

I know it was fun but I am wipped out!!!!!!!!!

I can vouch for the construction industry being tough, since the company I work for is a quite large concrete company. 2007 was the worst year we've had since the 80's and 2008 isn't looking any better. It's been a shock since 2005/2006 were record years for us and business was booming. Even though we are stretched so thin right now due to cuts, we are so thankful to even have jobs!

Oh, gosh Abby I hope that means your job will be ok???

hello...I agree this weather is to cold for Texas! I am further south than you but I am sick of the cold and rain! It seems everytime it gets cold it rains the entire time...I might not mind it as much if it just wouldnt rain.

Yes, the boards are really slow. I think it's tonight at 11 that they're going to be looking into the longer posts. I didn't read the whole message though.

Hope both of you get to feeling better. The flu is going around here like crazy. The district is reporting a record number of absences. There are 4 out in Zane's class right now. I am really hoping he doesn't get it!

Tooth pain is horrible...Your right...It comes on quick like no other pain...They cant see me until Monday so I am living on pain meds

I thought the slowness might just be my end..It is bad again..I got booted out once too.

Do you know anything about the new Bayport terminal and when you can expect for cruise ships to be sailing out of it? A friend and I are wanting to cruise but Galveston has lost almost all of their ships

I think it is. We cannot afford to downsize anymore in the office I'm in because of other job cuts. It's a tough job to do because of the sheer volume we have and they don't keep people around who don't perform well. I've been there 4 years so I figure I'm doing a good job. I was at my last accounting job for 7 years but the company was such a miserable excuse for a business that I begged my boss to fire me for the last couple of years I was there. He wouldn't honor my request so I quit. I love my company now so can handle the stress and market fluctuations.

No...I have heard though that another ship is going to begin sailing from Galveston..Cant remember what one though...I have only done DCL once but would like to take on out of Galveston since it is so close. I will keep my ears open and let you know if I hear anything...

I watched it last night too..It was great...I really like that show...Hopefully they have plenty..I am really getting tired of the writers strike...Neither Grey's or ER is on tonight.

No...I have heard though that another ship is going to begin sailing from Galveston..Cant remember what one though...I have only done DCL once but would like to take on out of Galveston since it is so close. I will keep my ears open and let you know if I hear anything...

We sailed out of Galveston last year on the Ecstasy and we really enjoyed it! You can't beat the price and the closeness (well it was a 6+ hour drive for me but still close enough) We will probably end up on the Conquest this fall. RCCL's Voyager of the Seas is there now but it will be leaving in April.
