I am heavily involved in our town's Recreation. I am chairman of the Recreation Dept. and also head up our soccer programs. It's my part-time, unpaid job!!!

We run a week-long soccer camp each August that has about 200 kids. The coaches are almost entirely from the U.K. and our contract is up this year.

When I was on the City council (16 years) I was chariman of the Recreation and Parks and Culteral Affairs committee.

Good morning everybody! I wish I could have stayed at home today, too. It's supposed to snow later.

My knee was killing me earlier, I thought about staying home, But I went in

It was tho' I was I sad to discover my friend is ill. She has a thyroid condition that is so bad she has a massive lump on her neck and she's currently refusing surgery as she wants to pursue the naturopathic route... I'm worried about her...

Oh, she needs to steer clear of the naturopathic route for her thyroid condition!! I am a strong proponent of many alternative therapies as many are very beneficial and less costly than standard medical treatment. But, in my personal opinion, this probably isn't one of them (just my thoughts).

Has she or her docs removed any suspicion of malignancy? Even without that nightmare she still risks damage to her throat.

16 years?! Did you enjoy the political life? It's horrible here. I'm appointed to the Committee so I have to "dance" with the elected officials all the time.

The chills are gone, but thanks to the weather, my knee is swollen,
My Arthritis is acting up in my left knee. I could hardly walk on it last night, I used an ace bangage to wrap it, It is only now starting to feel better.

Gee its sucks to start getting older.

The deck is gone. THe kids are going to flip when they get home and see there is nothing there. I'm going to take some pics. and see if I can post them.......

It's January 24th and we still have no snow on the ground here! Very strange. On one hand I'm happy - haven't had to do the walks, driveway, etc. and all the other stuff that comes with snow, but on the other hand there are a lot of fun things to do in the snow.

We were forecasted for 3 inches today, but that isn't going to happen. The snow line is barely reaching us and is pushing the east. Just flurries now.

We are just east of Philadelphia:

I kind of agree, Harry, but she's so freaked out by what's happening that she wants to try the alternative route first. Also she has a friend who's a big naturopath believer and it seems she has some excellent contacts... She knows it's not a tumour so has some time to try out the non-surgical option... I've been reading up on it all afternoon - it's a minefield...

I know crazy we have no snow on the ground either well not much.... The ground it not even frozen all of the way they are going to be able to dig my foundation on Tues. it is nuts. But heck, I'll take the snow flurries today over a few inches of snow....!!!!!!!!!!!!

It hasn't snowed here yet today, and doesn't look like it will according to the weather map. It just makes it a mess.

No snow (or prospect of snow) here but the temperature seems to have dropped this afternoon - the house feels suddenly chilly and I've had to turn up the thermostat...

I think it is since the builder said not many jobs out there and this is a HUGE job in the dead of winter for them to get paid on and times are tough now he was saying not many jobs people are just not adding on or doing new contstruction!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a differant time (1985-2001) It had its ups and downs,
In the last couple of years I got most things I wanted for the department.
By that time, I knew how the system worked and had the clout to get things done
