Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday to all!

Our very odd winter continues here... still no snow... temps forecasted for low 60s for part of this week... if this trend continues perhaps we won't have to move South after all!!

Jake starts his indoor soccer season today, though it's actually warm enough to play outside.

For us it might end up being the Super Bore this year.... We generally aren't fans of NY sports teams and we despise the Pats so it's tough to pick a team to route for this year.

I saw some previews of the commercials - looks like they'll be trying to appeal to the ladies a lot this year (e.g. Derek Jeter, Justin Timberlake...).... will there not be a GoDaddy.com commercial this year?!

Apparently their ad was rejected BUT you can see it on their website after the game has started... I'm sooo intrigued...

That is hilarious that you said this because I almost put in my goodnight message for you not to call me again in the middle of the night! Hey, no wrong numbers last night but DD woke up with 102.4 fever at 1:45. So if it's not one thing, it's another!!!

Oh noo, you poor dd, I don't know what is going around but a lot of kids are sick now. No matter what part of the country your in.

We love hockey! That was my sport growing up so there's a bit of a bias here. We've grown into a soccer family over the years though.

It was just 13 years ago that I went to my first hockey game, and I was totally enthralled! If I had been a kid growing up in a hockey town then I'd have played! But of course my town didn't even have soccer, let alone hockey.

GoDaddy commercials are hilarious. I like the one where the two guys are sitting at their cubicles and it ended that the one said "I already did my mom!" when the girl walks up behind him. (know which one I'm talking about) I know the one you are probably referring to......the chic at the hearing with the slippage.

WTG Samantha! I was co-captain of my team. I even made the Showcase Stars and danced at Epcot with the Showcase Stars team. That was absolutely amazing! We did a 12 minute show, and learned it in just a few days. I still have my dance uniforms, poms, some props. Good luck at your next competition!

In our area the health department said flu cases have tripled this year verses last year, so I assume it is that way across the US as well.

Yesterday was the funeral of Maria Lauterbach. Has this been a big TV thing in any of your areas? I decided it would be best if we stayed home and out of the way until after the service was over, because this was all going on about 1/2 mile down the street from me. There were 4 protestors from that Kansas church and about 150 counter-protestors. So my idea of protesting the protestors wasn't off the wall. It's just a very sad situation all around.
