07/22/2006 - The Oh-Seven Double-Deuce Double Dip Desperados!

We have booked the Chacchoben ruins tour (the shorter one) with David and Ivan. I just confirmed today. Our DD and DS are 4 so we can't do it through DCL. Some people say young kids like it others say it's too much. We know alot will be over their heads, but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. Now we just need to work out Cozumel and decide on a Palo night and brunch day. We will probably just hang out on CC.

Here are our plans, all depend on availability on Sunday of course:

Palo dinner on Monday night
Palo brunch on Thursday

Cozumel: me and DS(9) taking the Atlantis sub(yikes)
DH and DS(16) doing the reef snorkle

Costa Maya:
DH and DS taking the Chaccohoben tour, while DS younger and I hang out on the ship

And of course on Castaway, swimming with the stingrays.

Good Morning, I've decided that I truly am as my name says, daffy. It took me longer to log on here than it did to get my Palo ressies. Hope everyone got what they wanted. I think I'll go back to bed now and dream cruise.

Just finished. It was a little slow at times, and the spa times on sea days were few and far between (for the Spa Villas treatments at least), but I got what I wanted. Hope everybody had the same luck!

Good morning!!

I was up at 3 also(ok, slapped the snooze and made it online at 3:05)

It took me awhile to wake up and log on, but once I did, I had no problems reserving anything. Was IM'ing with Roodoll in Guam trying to book some things together. And was SUCCESSFUL!!!

My only question, we were told since we were linked with 3 other families, we could book Palo for all of us, even though only Roodoll and I were CC members. Well, it didn't let us. Only could reserve for 1-2 people. Does anyone have any suggestions? I may call and see what they say, or hope the other 2 families can get the same time at 75 days. If not, looks like we will be in line when we get onboard.

Hope everyone was successful, only 90 days!!!!

I was up at 2 am to book (i'm in central time). I got what I wanted, Palo brunch on Monday and Palo dinner on Tuesday. Now I just have to hope our character breakfast is Thursday and Tuesday isn't pirate night or I'll be running to change when we board. Also went ahead and booked Atlantis sub for cozumel at 2:20. If Chankanaab is up and runnning maybe we can go there first. Also did the 2day float rentals just to save me the time once we board. We got two for the four of us. For $15 for 2 for two days it's a great deal. Hope everyone catches up on their sleep.

I tried to book this am and it wouldn't let me I don't think Costco applied our final payment yet. Oh well, I'm sure we'll get a brunch ressie when I get this straightened out.

Well, folks, we have been waiting for this day for so long - I am so grateful it is finally here! No brunch left by the time I opened my eyes but I did get Palo....since we won't know the exact plans for the week until the first double dip in May (when Pirate night is, etc), I wonder if there will be a lot of switching of reservations as soon as we hear from those cruisers! Plus, we'll be waiting inline like the old days...

Anyone else dreaming of CC when the temp and weather there pops up on the disney site?

There were no brunch reservations available when I logged on either. Do you think that more will be released at the 75 day point for the non Castaway Club members?

I have seen some posts on other threads that said they didn't get Palo brunch or dinner online but had no problems getting it when they boarded. I called DCL castaway club line last week and asked what day was what. 1st she said on the double dip pirate night was the 3rd night ( Monday our at sea day). I was skeptical because I thought the brought the fireworks on board right before while in port. Then she said it was Tuesday the 3rd night. Well tues. is the 4th night. She put me on hold and came back and said it was Wednesday but subject to change. I asked about changing Palo onboard and if they kept back some tables for people who don't use the internet. She said all tables are released to the internet nothing is held back. That is directly opposite of what other people posting have said. Bottom line is I would try back regularly and check again at 75 days. If you don't get ressies online just go straight to make them when you board. In between try not to stress. Once the 1st DDip gets back lots of people may be changing plans, myself included.

Well, i have to admit I couldn't stnad not knowing, so I called DCL to ask why I was told I could book for everyone, then when it came time to book, I couldn't.
Bottom line is I can't. She did tell me however that they do not release all the Palo reservations due to some people not having the internet.

So I guess it depends on who you get on the phone as to what you are told.
I may contact DU since they are the ones who checked for me on the linked dinner reservations.

Does anyone know the exact date of the 75 day mark? Last time I tried to count the 90 day mark I was a day off..lol

I am so frustrated I stayed up until 1 am trying aimlessly to get ressies for ANYTHING at Palo. I have been trying all day and am currently on hold with disney. I also stayed up all night before last thinking that was the night we could book. I will find out what day they will release more hopefully within the next 16 minutes and will also double check on pirate nite. I am betting Wed. Check in with you guys shortly if my head doesn't explode first

Just got off the phone, says probably all booked. I guess I will be in the onboard line also. We have a party of four so I am sure we would be there anyway. They could not let me know if more would be released or when pirate night was. She was very nice though. I should just be happy to be going I am making a paper chain with my daughter tonite to count down the days!

I am sure we will be in the line also, changing it from a table of 4 to a table of 8, if they can't get the same times at 75 days out.

75 days out is on my birthday - May 8th! I can't believe that I am seriously considering this, but I think I will be setting my clock to 2:55 am so I can check if they are going to release more Palo ressies!

I am going to STRONGLY recommend to our friends that they get up to make their reservations at 3 am on the 8th. Hopefully some of the excursions I made today will still be available for them. I am almost at the point if they don't want to, I will get their info and do it for them. I think I am obsessed.

It's really annoying when trying to make reservations that you have to keep changing reservation numbers for all the different parties. When I did the kids registration, it was easy to identify all the people who could pick up the kids, because we're "linked" for dining. Why can't they do this for excursions?

I missed out on the Tuesday Palo - got Monday night instead. With my luck, that'll probably be formal night (wife wants to have formal night with the kids), and we'll scramble to reschedule.

Whats killing me right now, is I can't get to the Spa page under my reservations. I can go everywhere else, but the page just comes up blank.
Glad I didn't have my heart set on anything in the spa.
