07/22/2006 - The Oh-Seven Double-Deuce Double Dip Desperados!

If I can just remember dress socks, I'll be OK.

Do you know that is the ONLY thing I forgot last year?? Dress socks for DH..OMG nothing funnier then him being dressed in a suit, with white socks peeking out..And to make matters worse, they were the low cut sport socks..OMG it was so funny when he was walking down the hall... :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

At 90 days out I was in staying in a hotel for my nephew's wedding. I brought my work laptop because the hotel said they had free internet service. I could not get past my office VPN restrictions and get on. My other nephew came to my room at 11 and tried to set up my laptop and then used his from work. His was fine but I could not ask him to come back at 3 am to do my ressies.

We had brunch at my sister's house the next morning and I walked in said hi and took over her computer. I was only there 30 minutes (kept having to reenter my stupid reservation number) but I got almost everything I wanted except the Palo Brunch. Everyone kept coming in the den and harrassing me for being so compulsive, even my sister who loves to cruise. But she only goes with her husband, and not on Disney. When you have to get 2 teenagers and two adults to agree on excursions, you have to plan.

My brother in law even came in an video taped me while he gave me a hard time. I can't wait to see what he does with that film.

For those who are still waiting to make your reservations, I understand they do hold slots for the different time frames. And the one odd thing that freaked me out is if you make two reservations for the same type of spa treatment at the same time (Eliminis Stone Massage) you only get one reservation number even though it shows two names. I freaked out and called DCL. He said everything was fine.

I can't wait!!! But this board makes it much easier to be obsessive. I think my family is getting a little tired of having to come over to the computer and look at pictures of food, rooms or the ship.

It will be me, DH, DD (19) and DS (16)

My kids are relieved to hear that others their age will be on board. This is our 3rd cruise and they are really looking forward to it. :hippie:

I saw on the main cruise thread the new backdrop for the going onboard pictures. I started screaming "YOU HAVE GOT TO COME SEE THIS" at the family.

They all walked over, shook their head, and said gosh mom, its just a picture... :rotfl2:
Just a picture??? They just don't get it....

Thanks so much for the kind words. It's amazing how motivated you can become when you know you are going to be in your bathing suit in front of a lot of family and friends!

I too, seem to have the same problem packing too much stuff. Last year, Southwest charged me and extra $100 because my luggage was too heavy. That's OK, I just went out and bought MORE luggage for this year's trip!!!!

So, who else is going to be getting up at 3 am on Monday to see if anymore brunch reservations are released?

Not me either, got them at the 90 day mark..

Just hoping the rest in our group can get them for the same time as ours....same thing for excursions too...

congrats bethipooh and michpoit on losing all that weight! i lost 25 lbs between sophomore and junior year in college and have kept it off and feel so much better about myself. it's losing that initial weight that's the real battle, once you do that though, it's pretty smooth sailing.

i'm taking your advice bethipooh and going to check out target for capris today. we'll see what i can find. maybe i'll stop at marshalls and tj maxx too.

Bethipooh. Glad I am not the only one who hit the plateau wall this week! All week lost NADA. I am on the high protein deal. It is the only thing that works for me. I am going to make it through I keep telling myself. Do you just keep doing the same thing and work through or do anything to get the weightloss jumpstarted? I will also be up on the 75 day mark to check brunch at 3 am! :surfweb:

Hi Everyone! We're back from Disney World - Hope you caught my wave :wave2: bethipooh on our way down & back. The trip was great - the kids were good & the weather was perfect! In the 80's no humidity! I wasn't dripping at all! Saving all that for July! The crowds weren't bad either -Made it through all the major rides in the MK last Sunday in 3 hours! We hit Expedition Everest on our 1st day. WOW it's great! Can't wait to ride again in July! Pirates was open. Didn't see much of a change - looks like it was cleaned up a little and the sound was better. They closed it again & it will reopen with Jack Sparrow on July 7th. pirate: Saw all the cruise line buses on Disney property - something to look forward to. So I came home & paid off the cruise today!! :mickeyjum Didn't want to give Disney my money too early! Got my new Passporter yesterday - a birthday gift from my DH. Now we can plan.....hopefully you all left some openings for us! Now I'm getting excited!! :tink:

I just work through it, knowing it will kick in again. And I try to take in more points with WW.

No need for me to get up at 3, but one of the families we are traveling with will be, and we are keeping our fingers crossed they can match up their reservations with the ones we made.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you get yours. pixiedust:

Didn't you see me chasing you down I-95 with my suitcase??? And you never stopped.... :rotfl2:

I am glad you had a great trip.

Here's hoping there are reservations available for you as well... pixiedust:

We had a fun filled weekend, NOT DS's were in their state bowling tournament this weekend. Last night at the hotel DS 16 was with some friends(goofing off as usual) and turned to say something to one while walking, turned back around, and went face first into a brick wall. Strange city(Wilmington), lots of blood and a gaping wound. :faint: Well 3 hours later, 6 stitches over his eye, and 5 stitches in his cheek, we are back at the hotel.
All he could think was were we going to have to cancel the cruise....guess I never realized how much he is looking forward to it as well. But he is fine, pretty nasty looking bruises and stitches, but he is ok.

Bethipooh - I thought that was you!! We pleaded with the pilot to stop, but he had to get to MCO on time!
Sorry to hear about your DS - as we heard when we were younger - "that's what you get when you fool around!" Thank goodness it wasn't anything too serious. In 2 months he'll be as good as new!
We'll try to get some reservations this week - if not, we'll be on the ship early, so we'll try then. Still deciding on what ruins tour to take - Tulum seems to be a more famous Mayan ruin - anyone have any suggestions? I'll have to go back through the boards and check it out.

Got a nice surprise when I got back to school - they took off the last 2 days of school for the kids! They're ending on the 16th instead of the 20th. We, the teachers go to the 20th - which is fine for us. We can't have half days because of our bussing situation - 35 buses from all over the county come to our school. :woohoo: 12 school districts! Thank goodness for the church Carnival - which starts on the 21st!

I tried to keep up with the plane as long as I could, but my arms got tired from all that flapping... :lmao:

He should be good as new come cruise time and pictures, if not we will get him a patch and he will fit right in for pirate night

Our friends got the noon stingray adventure on Friday, so we cancelled our time, and now all 12 of us are getting to go together. One couple got Palo dinner within a half hour of our time, yet the other couple couldn't get any dinner to match our day. Brunch is totally gone for both of them so we are hoping onboard we can rearrange something and add them to ours. DH and DS are doing the Chaccohoben Ruins in Costa May, while I am being brave and doing the Atlantis Sub with youngest DS in Cozumel. How did everyone else do reservation wise??

Overall, we did pretty well....

I'm doing the 1 hour Eco tour with my 2 SIL's and BIL our first day at CC. DW despises anything with a motor that doesn't have doors and windows...

DW got a pedicure appointment on Monday so her "toes look good in the strappy shoes" for Palo that night.

DW has her massage appoinment in Costa Maya in the morning, then I go with most of our group to Chaccohoben in the afternoon.

Last day at Castaway Cay - Parasailing!

We're still trying to figure out what to do, if anything, in Cozumel. I figure that might be a good day to stay aboard and enjoy the pool.

DW's a teacher. I mentioned we had 75 days until the cruise - she came back with 31 school days until the end of school. :teacher: Priorities, I guess....

I have found out that we are in room 8042, please make correction. Thanks :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Hi everyone!! :wave2:

Well Just 66 short days to go. Hard to believe the kids only have 16 more days of school. If they hadn't changed the school calendar to a later in August start, we would be done next week.

So how is everyone doing? I finally started on our groups shirts for arrival day and pirate night.

Went to see Poseidon over the weekend. Are we the only nuts who went to see it? Ok, I saw the original back in the 70's when I was young(er) :rolleyes1

Unfortunately, went to see Poseidon a few days ago. There's two hours of my life I'll never get back. What a terrible movie that was.

:rotfl2: Yeah, I guess thats what happens when you remake a 70's disaster film.
We look at it as a night out with friends, without the kids. So it wasn't a total loss for us.

I did keep wishing for Shelly Winters to show up and save the day. And I missed hearing the song, The Morning After. :lmao:

Does anybody know where we will be 8 weeks from tonite???!!!!! :cheer2: I have already been to the sailaway party in my mind! It is officially time to open up the suitcases and start packing!!! (I like to start early. disorder. remember. :p )
