Made that big payment today - gotta get it overwith so I can be up at 3 am in a month for reservations!

My daughter will turn 16 right before the cruise and is looking for someone to correspond online with before the cruise - sure helps break the ice...anyone have a DD in the same age group who would like to IM?? Could you send me a pm and we could exchange IM names...

Also, I am a single mom looking for a "palo-mate" or "palomates" for dinner and brunch...since I am alone I could book a reservation to help increase the table spots for a group if someone wouldn't mind a tag along - I am a pretty good conversationalist (is this a personal ad?) and won't wear a bathing suit coverup or jeans!

Hi guys! I am in on the double dip !What did I miss about the kids club? We have two six year olds in our group. Anybody got any good rates for night before stay at the Port. We stayed at the Radisson and loved it. Guess we will do again unless something better turns up.

Ok I know if you are pd in full and a Repeat DCL cruiser (CC member) you can book palo, etc. 90 days out. My question is why 3:00 am. Can't you do it any time after midnight? Also do you know if once you book palo you can change it on the internet? I was going to make ressies for tues assuming we follow same western it's masterchef night. Someone guessed that tues might be pirate night instead since we leave CMaya at 5:30. wed night is usually pirate night on western but we don't leave Cozumel until 10:30 (if we even go to cozumel). I don't want to do palo on pirate night? Any thoughts?

OK...Welcome Deelee2...in answer to your kids club question, the first night has been changed to a open house style, and the parents have to stay with the kids, if they want to use the kids clubs on the first night. BUMMER.....

Ok Roysbrew, I am assuming the 3 am is Eastern, which would make it midnight Pacific time. Makes it fair for everyone I suppose. Not sure if I want to get up at 3 am though...YUCK...Yes, you can change your ressies online once you make them, up to a few days before the cruise without penalties. Our group is planning on Palo for Monday night, which should be formal night. The guys don't want to get dressed up more then they have to...

Only 2 of our group are CC members, so I think my family is going to make our ressies for excursions and Palo at 90 days, then hope the rest can get the same time, or maybe we can switch ours when we see what times the others get. Not sure what roodoll is doing for hers.

I heard Pirate night is Wednesday night..hmmm......Guess we won't know for sure till the first group does the double stop in May.

Been busy working on shirts for our group, we have them for embarkation day, and for Pirate night. Also have a group outing planned to go see Poseidon when it comes out in the theater.

3 am makes sense now although its easier to stay up til midnight so I guess the west coast lucks out on this one. For me it will mean 2 am. I doubt I'll be waking up. I had also assumed pirate night was Wed. but the 10:30 departure does mean some people could miss some of it if they got back to the boat late. We will just have to wait until May.

Good news is I read on another thread they are supposed to be going back into Cozumel starting with the april 8th western for a trial. if that's true we will know before 90 days if we want to book excursions. Our DD & DS just turned 4 so we are leaning toward Xcaret or maybe a independent tour to tulum.

Good luck with your shirts and pirate costumes. DS fits him from last year and DD got a tinkerbell costume for her bday (she didn't want to be a pirate we firgured Tink works well with the deck party show). Not sure if DH and I will dress up.

If it makes anyone feel any better, I'd be perfectly happy calling in at 9PM instead of midnight, just so you guys don't have to wake up at 3AM.....

Do you have to actually _call_? That's what I did last time, but only because Disney didn't have the web site up and running to accept reservations. Can you use the web site to make reservations, instead?

Thanks for the reminder on the schedule, Bethipooh....our group is still pretty disorganized on who's doing what when. Time for a group meeting.

I think you can do all the ressies on the website. I actually logged in once to see what it looked like. I saved some excursions to my wishlist too. First you have to login in to the website. In order to do this you have to have registered and given email address or username and password. Then you go to My Cruise. It will welcome you
Then retieve your reservation using confirmation # (My paper called it reservation #) Then Click on my cruise plans (left side of page) you will see tabs for shore excursions, palo, etc. Click on palo tab. Right now it says
Palo Reservations

"You may not make reservations at Palo at this time. Please return 75 days prior to embarkation. If you are a Castaway Club member, you may return 90 days prior to embarkation. If you are a Concierge Guest, you may return 105 days prior to embarkation."

When I click on castaway club it welcomes me so I think my # is in there. I remember putting it in awhile back.

Also I'm Type A about this kind of stuff (lost some U2 tickets on ebay cause the computer had problems at that exact moment). I wil probably try booking a couple more times just to make sure if I do get up at 3 am I won't be clueless because I'll already be half asleep.

I have been nicknamed Cruise Director Julie by our group of 12(for those of you to young to know who she is, its from the Love Boat, and we are showing our age) because of my obsessive planning, and schedules...and lists that have had baby lists..

I actually send out countdowns to our group of 12. Good thing they like me...

I have also checked the site a few times to be familiar with it, and have our stuff saved to my wishlist.

We've stayed there and loved it, we stayed in the area that was formerly known as Dixie Landings. Which is now Riverside.

At the time it was perfect for our family. We stayed at the CBR resort as well and that one is nice too...

When we went on the princess cruise to alaska, we kept singing the love boat theme song, since the love boat was on a princess ship.

My mom is also a planner, she keeps asking me about what parks we are going to in april(a month to go!). I think she excited about this dis meet too, because we went to a party yesterday and we met another diser (my cousin's cousin). she was all excited to meet him. We got to start planning soon it is only 116 days away!

This must be confession time. I also am a planner. I have saved excursions so it will be easier when it comes time at 3 am. The only problem is I have too many saved. I can't be everywhere at the same time, although I think that would be fun.

I have been over these boards so many times I think I know them all by heart. I save everything that I think I will find helpful later and then read and re-read them. My kids think I'm nuts. Maybe I am, but I'm loving it.
