I've read that people let their kids stay out until 2:00am or later

Our kids weren't interested in running around the ship too much by themselves at night. Different story in the daytime - I let them go shopping a couple of times by themselves and they would always radio me and ask if they could buy something before they bought it. I did let them have charging privileges. It worked out well especially when we went to the shows and they wanted popcorn and soda - my husband and I could save their seats while they stood in line at Preludes. We took 2-way radios so that they could call us if something happened while they were away from us. Sometimes (well, a lot) we could here other people talking and we would have to change the channel. I think I'll pay for the extra channels next time so we can have more of a private line. I've heard of the 2 am thing before too but it's probably kids that were involved in the kids club hanging out together - mine never wanted to go there - too busy.

How did you keep your hair looking so cute?

Thanks! I did take a flat iron - and a curling iron and a hair dryer. The only flat iron that works well for me is by Gold n' Hot. I have a wave iron by them that's really good too. I used everything on Castaway Cay day because I was wet from head to toe even though I didn't go under the water. Your hair will get soaking wet if you go on any type of water excursion.

My DD has braids with curls at the end. There was no way I was going to have to do my hair as well as hers so I braided her hair before we went. If you really don't want to be bothered with your hair at all, get braids. That's the only for sure no fuss way.

Thanks for the advice about hair care and two way radios. I'm happy to know that I can take my irons and I won't have to look wild.
