05/24-05/31/14 - The Disney Fantasy, (Bob) Marley and Me on The FANTASTICAL VOYAGE!

So excited to go on our first cruise ever! We are Missourians that can't wait to hit the beach. Counting down the days...

Who: Amber 39, Michael:39, Olivia:6
From: Springfield, MO
Stateroom: 9509
Celebrating: family time, end of school
Dining: Late (a little nervous about this)
FE: not this time
Previous Cruises: none! Newbies!

Although we've cruised several times, I've never done a cruise meet.

Who: Kala 44/W, Todd 43/H, Nate 8/S
From: St. Louis, MO (Webster Groves)
Stateroom(s): 6166
Celebration(s) During the Cruise: Survived another school year!
Dining (Early or Late): Late
Participate in FE: Yes (first time ever)
Prior Disney Cruises/ships (MM/YY):
Dream - July 2011 with extended family
Magic - November 2013 just Todd and I
A few words about you and your group: This is our first 7 night cruise and we can't wait! 4 nights are never enough. Castaway Cay is one of my favorite places in the world... unfortunately it downpours EVERY and ALL afternoon we've been there. So lucky you for traveling with us! Todd is a comic book artist and I work in advertising. Nate loves Lego, Minecraft and Star Wars. As Nate is an only child, we hope he finds a kindred spirit on this voyage to hang out with.

OK. Got you both on the spreadsheet (link in my signature below). Take a look at the tab for the Oceaneer Club to see all the kids that are the same age as yours.

Pop by the Meet & Greet from 2:30 to 3:30 in D-Lounge (deck 4 midship). I'm hoping we get a good turnout. Wristbands for all!

Wow, someone else from the St Louis area! Lots of us on here. How about those sirens last night? Heard Glendale got a twister. We used to live near Blackburn park in Webster - loved and hated the 100 year old house though. 7 more Fridays!

Dang, the St. Louis area will be well represented!!!! Welcome....I'll get your information added to page1 over the weekend.

As a 'tradition' we wear local clothing on the disembark day, so you will see all 39 of us or so wearing Cardinals gear! Plus, not to curse anything, but hopefully we will be seeing a lot of Blue Notes on the ship as well!!!!

Welcome from my crew in St. Charles!!!

We have traditionally worn something "Disney" on day 1...but I like the idea of wearing something local. That would make all us from the STL really easy to spot! LOL! May have to go with that one... :)

I watched game 6 of the 2011 World Series from the Caribbean Beach resort at Disney. My entire family was sleeping and I couldn't scream after the walk off home run in the 11th. Definitely wore my Cards hat at Hollywood Studios the next day. High fived a lot of strangers that day including some very good sport Rangers fans.

We wear our gear on the LAST day of the cruise, as we are leaving the ship. We wear Disney on boarding day because of the group pics on the gangway....

Kala - We have an 8 year old only child, Austin. Hoping to make some friends for him to hang out with too!
We are Kelly, Steven and Austin from Atlanta, GA. This is our 2nd Disney Cruise.

I think we may have decided to do a couple days at Universal after the cruise. Question; should we tell the kids (12,10) now and allow them to look forward to it now and during the cruise or do we surprise them with it after we get off the ship?

All right! Before I put you on the list, are you participating in the FE as ONE BIG FAMILY, or 5 separate staterooms (wouldn't think the kids would participate on their own) or 3 separate staterooms of the adults? Or some other way?

And just to keep things straight - who do the kids belong to? :confused3:)

We are Kelly, Steven and Austin from Atlanta, GA. This is our 2nd Disney Cruise.

Kelly,

I'm glad to know there are some only children around his age. We'll have to get Austin and Nate together.

I'm having some trouble deciding what excursions / port adventures to do with an 8 year old. Do you have any plans or advice?

Thanks, Kala

Hmmmm, good question about how we plan to participate in the FE. In the past we've participated as separate staterooms, but we didn't have as many friends brought along with us. This is the make-up of our group:

Family #1: David (DH), Jessica (DW), Andrew (DS-18)
Family #2: Scott (DH), Paula (DW), Tyler (DS-18), Jordan (DS-15)
Vivian (Grandmother to Family #2) and Mary Jane (Friend)
Friends along for the ride to celebrate their graduation: Cole (M-18) and Carter (M-18), and Jordan's friend Daniel (M-15)

I'd say each stateroom will have a FE. But if the FE gift is for a family, then there are three families (staterooms 6648, 6654, and 6656). Does that help any? Please let me know if I've only made it more confusing. :goodvibes

I was pretty surprised about the St. Louis area contingent as well. I promise I won't ask anyone where you went to high school. The first weeks of Spring has had some interesting weather. We live in Old Webster and we didn't even a tree branch down - highly unusual.

Since I'm new to fish extenders, I've been searching the net and it looks like some of the extenders are too wide and would bump again doors. How wide is your extender?

Our family will be taking our very 1st Disney Cruise this May. Is it too late to be added to the FE? If possible, we would love to be added!

DIS name: rbcbcook

Well I booked it today so we are going too. My son is 8 yr old so he will be happy to see other boys on the beach as well! We are excited!

We are also going to Nachi Cocom. We have an 8 year old son as well. Glad to know Nate will have Nonni's grandsons and Zach around to play with.
