05/09/2009 May 9, 2009 7-Night Eastern St Maarten... Watch Out!

Just curious where we stand with group participation on the 12 Meter Regatta on St Maarten day? I know I am in, and I believe I am still dragging Jeremy along for the ride? Anyone else joining the first-ever DIS group to take down a racing yacht? :confused3 ;)

Hopefully she'll start to stretch a bit more quickly...as it is she is wearing some 2T already and she's only 10 1/2 months!

I love your family pic too. Your kids are clearly happy children...so underrated these days.
But your little boys info isn't on the list...how old is he?

I hear you on the size thing! My DD Hailey who is 4 is wearing the same size As my DD Courtney and she is going to be 8 in October!!! Both are in a 6-7!!!

As for my DS Landon, he is 1 1/2 (Will be 2 in June). The only way to describe him is a devil with a halo! I love him to death but that child pushes every button I have on a daily bases! I would love to take him on this trip but I think I would spend more time trying to keep him happy and out of things then I would with my DD's and DH. When he is a bit older we plan to take another DCL trip but this is for the GIRLS!!! DH and I wanted to spend some quality time with them, and some alone time with each other and it would not be possible with my Little monster in tow! He however will be spending a FULL WEEK with my mother. For some reason when he is with her is an angle, Go figure right.

Devil with a Halo.... got one of those over here too! :rolleyes1
Dylan will be 4 the end of August and he has the magic touch to make one pull their hair out and then a minute later be your little angel! My mom watches him during the day and it is always nice to hear her say how good he was for her all day!?!

The link to the map is at the top of the main page. I recommend printing the roster and map and taking both with you to the ship. I'll be updating the map as the guarantee cabins get assigned so be sure to keep me posted when you learn your cabin assignments.

Wow! That is great! Much easier than my last time exploring the ship...

Thanks a lot!

Yes I think my DH will agree with you about pull the hair out so much so that if you look at pics of DH from when we just had the girls compared to now his hair line has receded quite a bit:lmao:! He keeps telling me that its all Landon's fault but I keep telling him that he is suck an angle:rolleyes1 that there is no way its his fault:rotfl2: that he must be getting old!!! I also have to add that I keep a pic of DH on the fridge from about 3 years ago. Its a pic of DH and the two DD and his FULL HEAD OF HAIR!!!:lmao:

OK I have to ask because my DH thinks I'm nuts but over the weekend I went threw all of DD's clothes and started packing! Here in MI we are still in winter clothing so I just figured that I would get a jump start and pack the summer stuff that they will be taking on the trip and make a list of stuff that they need. I have also put together a spreed sheet of every days outfits. All clothing goes into a zip lock bag and is labeled with the day of the week so when we get there all they have to do is get the bag for what ever day it is and get dressed. I also have a spreed sheet of what stuff I want in what suite case so that when I go to pack I will have Little of each persons stuff in each bag including a formal and casual out fit for dinner. Just in case we lose a back I want to be prepared!! Am I nut for doing this so soon????:confused3

Too Funny! Oh yes, speaking of hair… I would also have to say my head of hair is defiantly not as full as it was a few years back. I mostly blame that on DWs obsession with pricy purses and Gymboree for the kids! Oh and having three girls in the house doesn’t help much either! :scared1:

Umm, 'dragging'? Wow...and here I thought I was still a creature of free will! LOL
That's fine, Mr. Revisionist History, you just keep telling yourself that I'm your follower. I'll wait until the moment is right and then I'll just take over the world! See if I don't!!! :snooty:

BTW, I am looking forward to 'dragging' you all on this Disney Cruise with me! :joker:

Wow - that would be nice...but Leah is a bit too young yet to leave with her grandma. So, it's 10 hours of nursery time and then BABY the rest of the time...lol.

:lmao: I need to apologize; I do recall you being the one to point out the Regatta first. You have shown me the light, and a way to escape the family for a couple of hours! :worship: :)

I think the ziplock bag idea is great! Packing this early... I dont see a problem with it if you dont plan to wear those clothes before the cruise. Nothing wrong with being prepared for a wonderful vacation!

Oh Scottie
That sounds like so much fun. I would take part in a min. Something like that is just clean fun. I'm sure even if you didn't take part it would be a blast to just sit & watch.

I finally decided I was going to spend some time on this board today but, when I tried earlier today, the darn thing was down! Guess site maintenance has to be done. Anyhow, hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't believe we are inside 7 weeks! Hey, anyone up for night time cigars at the cove cafe?

Count me in. :thumbsup2

No, I don’t think you missed a deal unless all the rooms are gone for the stay certificates. I guess they have limited rooms for it.
Here is a link to the part of the Hyatt site for them:
https://www.certificates.hyatt.com/ConsumerCerts.aspx?icamp=HY_GiftCards_HPGS

Basically I called the Hyatt reservation number and asked to book a room for a Choice level Stay certificate. They booked the room and held it with a credit card.
I then called the number on the Stay certificate part of the site and bought a Choice level certificate for $135 plus $6 FedEx. That covers the cost of the room, no tax on top of it so a pretty good deal compared to all the other rates out there.

When you check in at the hotel you hand over the certificate and head on to the room! I have never done it before but read up on it via the DIS boards and people who have and it sounds like a nice way to stay at Hyatt MCO and save a few $!

France, so the cost was only around $100 after taxes. I will store this info in my "bags of tips". Thanks!
