Just found out that our daughter has to have surgery in 2 weeks to put in a GTube. We now have to get permission from the surgeon to book the cruise. Boy...nothing is ever as easy as you want it to be.

If you decide to stay the night, we will be at the Pan Pacific, which is right there by the pier/Canada Place. (We're staying on night and flying direct from Vancouver to Phoenix the next afternoon.)
.
We're on the train too and flying out of Seattle because of the savings in airfare. But I booked us on the 6:30am train the following morning. I wanted to see the scenery. I was thinking about taking cabs and/or using car service. Maybe car service from the port to our hotel in Vancouver. Unless there will be an abundance of cabs at the port terminal when disembarking. Then taking a cab from the hotel to the Amtrac station the following morning. Once we get to Seattle I thought I might take a cab to the airport to pick up our car rental. We're staying in Seattle for three nights before flying home.
I'm staying the night. Sounds like a party at the Pan Pacific. I'll be there. I can get a cab from my hotel to yours and back again. What's the plans for the evening? Restaurant/Bar? Champagne? or Rosa Regale? hahaha.![]()
You're staying in the Lifeboats!!!! I was a gty for the PC crossing in May '08. Lots of us were guaranty only. So we made up tee shirts with a logo on it for the Lifeboat Crew. hahaha!

Lisa, I booked it because Monica got a good price. Then I cancelled it because I remembered that my hotel is not far from the Amtrac station and my train leaves at 6:30am the following morning. I understand that the Pan Pacific is about an hour from the Amtrac station. I decided to visit you all the night before and then leave and go to my hotel to sleep. I think it will work out better this way.
Got it! Thanks! I have it on my roster, but forgot to type him in my response yesterday.Hi!
You left off Henry (DS) for #6609. We are a party of 7 travelling together, but in 2 different cabins. Our friends, Dana, Logan and Alley, are new to DCL. They have been on one Carnival cruise, but I convinced them to come into the light. HaHa!
Thanks!!!
Thanks everyone! We are hoping that after 2 weeks she will be "normal activity" even though not totally healed for 6 weeks.![]()
Is it bad that I've already gotten out one of our carryon suitcases from storage and have started filling it with stuff to bring (highlighters, flashlight, etc)? Or have I even crossed a line for the Disney fan community?![]()

Any guesses what the ship will do Monday night? We are scheduled to leave Victoria at 5:30 so we could easily be in Vancouver before 9. I wonder if we'll dock early or spend the night wandering the Strait of Georgia.

You might consider asking your airline for a wheelchair ... to lessen the impact on the leg while in the airport(s). In addition, you might want to consider a wheelchair for use on the ship as well. I know DCL has wheelchairs ... not sure about cost. Thanks everyone! We are hoping that after 2 weeks she will be "normal activity" even though not totally healed for 6 weeks.![]()
OMG ... Once anyone has sailed on DCL, NOBODY will ever go back to Carnival!![]()
