04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

Hey everyone...I have been trying to merge the FE lists with the lanyard lists...(for my own reasons) I have some folks with multiple cabins - so which is the correct cabin(s)??

yensidfan listed as three..6062,6067,& 7512...not sure which is correct
CastawayCayFans - I have 6131 & 6609
Coastie And Mate - listed in 7020 & 7520

As I said - I am not a keeper of any lists..just trying to merge the two for both cruises...so any assistance is appreciated!

Cayla

Hi Cayla,

All four of us (Pete, Faith, Courtney & Peter) are in Cabin 7512 for the Repo Cruise.

Pete & Faith are in Cabin 6062 for the Alaska Cruise.
and
Courtney & Peter are in Cabin 6067 for the Alaska Cruise.

Hope this clears it all up for you. We look forward to seeing you again.

Faith

Please forgive me if this has been gone over elsewhere, but I understand that usually the 7 night cruises (but not the shorter?) have a lobster night. Since ours is a 6 night cruise, will we have a lobster night or are we considered more like a 3, 4, or 5 night cruise?

Any guesses what the ship will do Monday night? We are scheduled to leave Victoria at 5:30 so we could easily be in Vancouver before 9. I wonder if we'll dock early or spend the night wandering the Strait of Georgia.

I was wondering that myself. Even the ferries can make it the island to Horseshoe Bay/Tsawwassen in almost two hours! ;) I'm also wondering when we'll dock in Vancouver - if it's light enough, I'm hoping to be able to take a picture of English Bay (where we live) and the Lions Gate Bridge as we pull in to dock.

Just realized again yesterday that we will be in an inside passage - should be beautiful! I hope we do just head in while it is still daylight!

Waiting patiently for 4/27 & 5/3

Are you joining us all on these two cruises? If so, welcome aboard. I'm making custom lanyards and name badges for everyone on the cruise list. All I need is the first names of everyone in your group.

Ken

We're trying to figure out if we want to do Alcatraz on our own or through DCL. Does anyone know how to get from the port to Alcatraz (or where I can find the info)? Has anyone booked the Walt Disney Museum through DCL? We're thinking about doing that through DCL then Alcatraz on our own..or maybe just a hop-on hop-off trolley tour on our own.

Sarah
If you decide to do Alcatraz on your own get tickets on line before you leave or you may not be able to get any. These sell out fast and we will be there the week right after Easter a lot of kids are out of school even with the changes in Spring break times. You will really enjoy the tour. Sue

To echo what Ken said,

Folks new to this thread, Tigger1221, Megasblue, Disney Pita, DisneyfansinDowney, and any I missed:

Welcome! Please take a moment to read the 1st post. There are links to all sorts of great information!

If you'd like to participate in the FE exchange, please PM me right away. For those of you too new to be able to PM, like Ken said, post your first names, stateroom, ages of any children in your party, and any special occasions you might be celebrating.

Get packing! :lovestruc

Also Please don't forget the MAIN ROSTER!!!! Again... I'm so sorry there are so many contacts. We're all doing what we can to keep things centrally located. Thanks! We don't want anyone left out.

Thank you all who posted a response to my questions about Alcatraz! I'll pass the info onto my husband, and hopefully we'll get to do Alcatraz on our own so that it's a little cheaper and we have more time there. Thank you everyone!

Is it bad that I've already gotten out one of our carryon suitcases from storage and have started filling it with stuff to bring (highlighters, flashlight, etc)? Or have I even crossed a line for the Disney fan community? ;)

Thanks for the welcome, but I've actually been posting for a couple of months on this thread! :thumbsup2

You are doing what any good DISer would do!:lmao: I think alot of people at least start a "stack" of things they want to remember. I am going to start next week when I have a little more time.

You are doing what I would be doing if I didn't have a trip to SF on 4/7 to see opening day at ATT park. I am spending April going from coast to coast for my two favorite things. First trip I am leaving DH home with our two wonderful dogs! The clock is ticking down!:woohoo:

FYI: for all those last minute people like me, airfare from vancouver to los angeles just went down again to a reasonable price. I just booked alaska air for $168 total pp. I figured that wasnt too bad for last minute.

I finally checked in online for the cruise too:rotfl: We are 40 days out...woohoo! Lets just hope I can get my excursions together too!

Hi!
You left off Henry (DS) for #6609. We are a party of 7 travelling together, but in 2 different cabins. Our friends, Dana, Logan and Alley, are new to DCL. They have been on one Carnival cruise, but I convinced them to come into the light. HaHa!
Thanks!!!

I forgot to add, that in my distracted state planning last minute detail stuff for the cruise Sunday night, I made a mistake while packing my DD lunch for yesterday. So imagine her surprise when she opened her lunch box thinking she would find barbeque and baked beans, only to find that I had packed a leftover red onion. :confused3 In my defense, the containers were the same and I was looking up trip stuff minutes before my mistake. Lets just say the lunch box smelled great. I guess that none of her friends will ever ask me to make lunch. She insisted that her Dad fix the lunches last night. Great Mom. I did discover online, however, that you can ride the Skytrain on youtube, which was a hit with DS. On a good note, I did get our transportation to Seattle taken care of that evening! It is hard to focus on anything but the trip!!!

Well, at least you have your priorities straight

That is funny! What a good excuse you have!:rotfl: Maybe that's why Jim makes his own lunch!:goodvibes
