04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

Ken, I am so jealous. You got a ride in yesterday, with wine tasting, and we were buried in snow! We were out shoveling for 4-5 hours! :rotfl2: I hope you had an extra glass for each of us! :thumbsup2

Georgie...We saw some of the weather that hit the east coast on our news..it was incredible...we only got a slight dusting of snow this morning...

For those of you that have been following our basement renovation resulting from our flood....I am happy to report that it looks like our basement might be done by Christmas!!!!! Just a few little things still to do....some pegboard to install, hang 2 doors, install a kickplate under the cabinets, put in a floor drain cover, install the knobs on our cabinets and put up the last pieces of crown moulding. The rest of our furniture is being delivered today along with our washer & dryer (Mom is happy about that - no more laundramat)...also being delivered today is my Christmas present - a 42" Plasma TV!!!!!!!

Hi Walt

Your bike has a few more horse power then mine. I'm limited to 1 person power. :lmao: My bike reference is to a bicycle - I participate in a San Francisco to LA fundraising ride each year for the Arthritis Foundation.

But since you asked - I ride a 2007 Trek Madone. I'm as proud of it as you probably are of yours. :thumbsup2

Ken P.

Not very observant am I...Excellent on the fundraising...;)

We have a gentlemen that trains in the Hill around San Antonio...You may know of him... Lance Armstrong...:lmao:

Walt :cool1:

Lance who? :rotfl2:

Actually, he won his last Tour in 2005 on my model of bicycle. To bad I can't make my bike go as fast as he did on his. :confused3

Good Morning Everyone!!!! Another day closer to the cruise!!!

Very cold in SoCal this morning - but no white stuff on the ground (except for the packing peanuts - :rotfl2:)

Last work day for me today.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Ken P.

Yes, it was 50 degrees in L.A. I had to put on long sleeves. Brrrrr!

Woody

Well, it was 37 degrees in my little part of SoCal yesterday morning when I left for work and it's 39 degrees now. While that is not very cold when compared to other places, it was cold for us. And yes, long sleeves were appropriate. I guess I will have to remember to not make generalizations about SoCal in the future.

Welcome new cruisers,

Blizzard conditions continue, wind is at 42 MPH here at home with gusts in the 50's. Even the Malamutes are not wanting to go outside. Interstates are closed, TM and Wii later today, might go out to the barn and work on the Sapo Game. Need to make a Lowes run for stuff to finish it. Stay Safe and Warm.

Good Afternoon Cruisers!

It is still blowing here (for the second day straight) and the malamutes still will not go outside!

Hope everyone had a great holiday, and have a great week all!

Hey all! We booked while on the Christmas trip!

It's still a wait and see on the b2b part though.... but we're on this one!

And it was far less expensive that we thought it would be!

Yeah!!!!!!!!!:grouphug:

Happy holidays everyone! Left a week ago to head to Idaho to my parents for Christmas. Had a great time. Played lots of games and made a stop at The Disney Store in the Boise Mall......Only bought one thing though. The guy told me they are going to start changing the stores to be more interactive. We will have to see......

Okay, stay warm everyone!
