I think we are just down the hall from you - heck we could swing by your cabin and trapse about the boat giving our goodies away

Seriously, thanks for giving me the first day, I just talked to my 4 year old about doing nice things for others and she mentioned giving presents so I said we could do that on the cruise - so now she is excited about going around the ship and giving out gifts to the various staterooms (I haven't said anything about the FE to her, she just suggested going to rooms and giving stuff away) This way she is doing it without expecting anything in return (she will definitely be really surprised to see some gifts popping up in the days after!)

That would be fun! Although we have late dining so I think I'll be passing out our gifts after the little one's bedtime .... but I'm sure we will bump into each other! Your little one sounds so sweet, I can't wait to meet her (and everyone)!!!!

Hi everyone! Just found this thread DH and I are going on the cruise to celebrate our 4th anniversary. We were married at WDW and did the eastern cruise on the Magic for our honeymoon. We are exited to be be doing a Disney cruise again and trying out the Wonder!
We are going doing that Catamaran snorkeling in Cabo and Island Adventure in PV. We love days at sea as well and are looking forward to tasting sessions etc, so if you are looking for us we will be at the bar! LOL So excited!

Hi everybody. I would officially like to give all your kids my first gift. I still have an FE planned. Everybody liked my journals I did. I wanted to do one for each kid, but it just wasnt feasible. So I uploaded all the files I used to create my journal. See what you like, organize it how you like. I used card stock, so I printed double sided. The back cover and the front cover I printed on photo paper and laminated. The files with your kids names I have so far is the front cover personalized with your kids name. I suggest asking a disigner to personalize a welcome letter for you to include in your journal. After printing everything, I took it to a copy place to have it binded. Enjoy. I hope this all works. Calmom, Thanks again for taking charge of the FE, and have a wonderful time at GC - we stayed there for 2 nights last year for my daughter's first trip to Disneyland and her 4th b-day, and we had a great time. We were able to go to Napa Rose's firepit patio (behind the bar) for appetizers and a drink (with our daughter) one evening and I highly recommend it! Hardly anyone was out there (just one other couple) and it was a nice place to relax for an hour away from the crowds, before returning to the park for the evening festivities. I agree with all the suggestions that were given... especially the Blue Bayou for a great lunch or dinner option (the portions are very generous!) and the picnic option for World of Color too!

Thanks for all the advice on our pre-trip - I can't wait!

calmom, I think you are right about not being able to get to your rooms untill after the sail away party.

No - Just had Mindy down for the first day and see you are getting it covered. Thank you so much!! I can take any day, and please let me know what I can do.

I can view the list fine and I added our last names. We are technically not a "family" so I just added both our last names.


Should we try to do a DIS meet-up prior to sail-away?

I guess I meant, should we schedule an official meet up somewhere other than the deck prior to the sail-away party (because TBH I don't know if we'll be going to the sail away - or if we do, we will be watching from afar.)

I've read on other trip reports about people meeting up in one of the cafes. But since this is my first cruise I'm not too familiar with the ship or the best places to have a meet-up.

Seems like one of the common places to meet is in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3 (in between Triton's and Parrot Cay). It's kind of awkward for big groups, but I think would probably work for us since we're not a huge group. It's typically pretty quiet on that first day...

Someone above mentioned they didn't think we could get into our rooms until after sailaway party - that has not been my experience. We've been able to get into our rooms around 1:30 or so. 2ish if they're really running behind.

One time we couldn't get in until 4pm. I think it is the luck of the draw, but mostly they try to get you in. I can agree to be somewhere and hand out the bubbles. I got 45 or so of them. We are driving, so easy to bring down with us. It is so fun to blow bubbles at sail away!
