03/29/08, March 29, 2008 Eastern Magic - Who else?

well guess what...Lisa not only survived her lesson, but actually signed up for another one tomorrow...24 inches of fresh powder this week has not hurt either...came w/2 sets of skis and have pulled out the powder ones fo all the deep stuff on top at 10,000 feet....quite a bit different from both warm Florida and the cruise...we will be back on the boards next week...

HI everybody!

1. Thanks crzcrazy for the Palo's info AND for the wonderful FE list. I've seen several FE gifts myself. I'm trying to change reservations to Thursday as we speak.

2. I certainly hope we don't tender. I sometimes have to use a scooter and I can't if we tender.

3. Regarding FEs, does everyone get a gift daily? Excited to give them being from Orlando!!

4. We won't be able to meet at the sail away - we have a tradition of standing port side forward past the part and into the Atlantic (we always see a dolphin or two). Then we go to our room and have champagne & cheese & crackers on our veranda. We do, however, want to meet everyone. Is there another get together or can we plan one?

5. I made a neat door magnet design for Pirate Night but don't know how to post it. Any ideas how?

Debby

I hope you wre able to change your Palo reservations for the day you needed.

In regards to the FE, on our last cruise there were constantly gifts popping up. Chuck and Lisa have done this before so we can see if there experience was different. On our Halloween cruise there were lots of cabins participating and I think they had the same on Thanksgiving. That may be a variable. We bring lots of stuff and we disperse it when we have free time. I know my parents are very excited and have been buying lots of stuff.

To post your sign you need an account someplace like www.photobucket.com It is free. You upload your picture there then copy the Image (Img) link. Past that into your post. You can resize the picture so it is not huge using the edit featur on photobucket. Does that make sense?

We got home too late last night for me to look up the tendering info from last year. I will do it today....or at least I will try to

I looked up the info from last year. First tender was 7:30am (pending clearance of the ship by customs) and the last departed St. Thomas at 4pm.

Those with DCL booked excursions were first to be taken by tenders and then the rest were assigned a tender. You had to go to the theatre and await your tender ticket/time.

Again this info comes from the Navigator from this same cruise last year.

Glad you guys have had great ski weather. Please feel free to leave it there.....my flower beds do not need any more cold.

Thanks to Chuck & Lisa, I think I can now post my magnets! I'm trying this & apologize if it doesn't work.

Debbie,
Those signs look so great.

I am still working on the one for our cruise....I have a graphic I really want and cannot get it by itself so I have enlisted some professional help to isolate it.

Chuck and Lisa,
You are in trouble ::rotfl: Jessica got a call from one of her crew member friends. We are meeting up later this week and I told them I want to know all about those rowdy Turkey Gang.crowd in Rockin' Bar D.....see those shirts really make you stick out.

I'm sorry to show my ignorance, but what does "BUMP" mean on the board? Does it mean that some one "bumps" us to the front page? If so, how is that done? DD

Yes, bump means that we are "bumped" up to the front again.

We booked Palo for brunch on the 2nd sea day. The first one was full. I am going to look and see what rotation we get for dinner. Then either leave it or try to change it to the first sea day. I like to go to brunch on the day we eat at Animator's Palette. I like that menu the least and so eat more at brunch. We also booked Palo dinner for Friday night. I hope I can change it to Wed. (St. Thomas) night. I like the Master Chef menu the least. If I can't get them changed when I get onboard, I will put us on the waitlist for those times. You can usually get in on the waitlist.

When we have been on spring break at St.Thomas, we have docked at both Havensight or Crown Bay. We have never tendered. But the last time we were at St. Thomas for spring break was 2006. So last year, it was said that they tendered. The schedule is not up yet on vinow.com for April. The only time I tendered on Disney was at Cozumel and it was ok. But I am really hoping that we dock and don't have to tender. They do usually take the Disney excursions first and since we are going to Sapphire Beach on our own, we would have to wait. Oh well, I can hardly wait anyway!!!:cool1:

dipdot,
Did you request a particular dining rotation?

Hey we were on a springbreak cruise in 2006....wonder if we were on the same one. It was an Eastern in March.

No, we did not request a particular dining rotation. But we have been on 5 7-night Disney cruises and each time we had the LAPLAPL rotation. According to the disboards that is the rotation that "all adult" parties usually get. Since I am a teacher, I usually book very early and have always gotten that rotation. Since I told you that, we will probably get a different one this time.
We were on the March 31st/April 1st Eastern cruise spring break 2006. I can't remember exactly what day we embarked, but it was somewhere around then. We had a great time and the weather was very good. I am hoping that we have really good weather this time too.

Dipdotdarlin' so you forced my husband and I to go look at old pictures since we were making our heads hurt trying to remember what week we went in 2006. We were two weeks before you.....March 18.

Well hopefully you will get your rotation again. :wizard:

We are back in Florida....but the skiing really was great.

As to FE's, random drop-off times worked fine.

Chuck:cool1:

Welcome back and I thought I told you to leave the cold weather there.

I had to break on the Florida version of a winter jacket Friday night...Brrrr.

The weather today in South Florida felt great!!! The sun was shining :goodvibes and I was able to wear shorts and flip flops!! :cool1:

Lisa

We had to break out jackets this evening. During the day it was fine but once the sun went down...Brrrrrrrr........

We've decided to skip the fish extenders this time. We just have sooooo much we want to do and see with this being our first cruise, we've decided to let that one thing slide. I hope you guys have a blast with it though, it sounds like fun!

I've been having a ball making our door magnets though! I can't wait to get them all on the door and take a picture of them!

Ok,

I'm working on a project for the cruise and it would be helpful to know the following :
Each person's favorite Disney character
Each person's favorite color

Also, we always like to give our room steward & servers a little something extra (besides the extra tips we leave). Does anyone know what they would prefer or can accept from guests? Thanks.

Well, back to another week of teaching!
