We're baaaaack!

That was very distressing yesterday-- and because of it, I got no packing done at all.

But - sigh -- we're back.

And great news -- the weather channel now has incorrect weather preditions for 10 days that bring us into February! Yes, this is another way I'm getting excited about the cruise - by checking the weather ten days in advance to make sure we don't get snowed in......oy.....

I do the same thing, sort of...
My tivo only has show schedules 14 days out. I always get happy when I begin managing my tivo recordings for the time that I will be gone.

Hey Guys- I just started looking at the TiVO last night too, Jen. It got me totally excited to actually start deleting some stuff to make room. Told DH, we need to Record some thing off onto DVD and get ready as I did not want anything to delete when we were gone. I am actually getting soooooo excited. Even though I have not started my packing list yet or the list of the list I usually write out ahead of time. I think I will start this after my cruise party tomorrow. Yes the DIS was down last night to help, but I am not holding my breath as it was down a month ago and then the morning after was great then went worst than it was prior to the upgrade. I will be honest with you, now that we are getting so close, I will not be going to the general boards anymore (hopefully, sometimes I just have to give my 2 cents). I will not waste my time there and instead dedicate myself to you guys.

So I was just on OTC website, looking for small gifts for the kids in our group. If I am right (going off of Kim's latest list) there are 10 kids in our group right?

I'm not sure what others have gotten so I list the items that I looked at , and please let me know where I am duplicating, so that I can narrow down the choices.

1) Light up "Glow" Necklaces
2) Bubblegum Pirate Coins
3) Pirate Mustaches
4) Glow in the dark or Glitter or Tropical Tattoos
5) Shell Whistles
6) "Mardi Gras" style beads, or tropical leis (Also found Pirate Necklaces)

and Specificaly for MAD

I love my TIVO and cannot live without it. Okay, who am I kidding. I am a little embarrassed to admit We just got a third Tivo. How, Why you ask? Well, after a few years with the first one the hard drive started to skip a bit. I told DH that I simply could not be w/o TIVO, and that I would immediately need one if the first one broke. If the dishwasher broke I would wash by hand until we could replace. If the dryer broke, I would go to the laundry mat until we could replace. But Tivo needed to be fixed ASAP! We found a good deal on an open box Tivo and bought it with the lifetime service. Now we had "his" and "hers" Tivos. Recently DH decided that it was time to take the plunge and buy the HD TV. Well, how can you get that w/o the HD Tivo with duel tuners? Simply cannot be done. Mind you I have not used it to record squat in HD, but the recording two channels at once (and an occasional third on the 2nd Tivo) is my cup of tea! We gave the original Tivo (yes the thing never did break OOPS! ) to the girls with Parental controls strictly in place. Put the 2nd Tivo in the bedroom, for those nighttime shows, and have the new one securely placed in the family room. What am I going to do when the cable guy comes with the box that has the DVR in it. I may disappear from the boards for weeks in pure commercial free bliss!!!!!

Good Morning everyone, and Happy Friday!!!!!

Yes the excitment is really starting to build....what really gets me anxious, is when I look at the DCL picture of the day thread!!!!! We all like looking at that thread.... Kaylee loved the one with the girl sitting on her verandah, in a wet swimming suit eating ice cream, when she saw that picture, she was like.."OOOO I want to go now!"

Jennifer,...as far as the gifts go, other than the Mickey Ears and Heads I haven't gotten anything. Although I was thinking of getting some glow in the dark necklaces tec., I had Kaylee help me look at some stuff and we both thought that would be fun for pirate night???? So if you would like, I would be than happy to order those...

Last year I ordered wrist bands, that had [COLOR="Blue[I]"]"Disney Magic 2007"[/I][/COLOR] printed on them for the kids...I still have some left, if anyone wants one, let me know...they do say 2007 on them though..

Okay...I must fess up., we have no TiVO and worse yet...not really sure what it is...heck, we are just some country hicks living out here in Nebraska, infact we just got indoor plumbing not that long ago!!!

Okay, I better get going...yesterday was Kaylee's birthday, and we are having the family birthday party tonight, along with 2 friends spending the night, and a swim party tomorrow. I will be checking in through out the day

OK,

They changed my thyroid meds and all I can do is sleep !!

So I must of missed the bring things for all the kids but I have a lot of pirate tatoos and glow sticks and disney stickers. So what are we doing, making goody bags or just bring a little something ? I could word things better if only I could spell better !

We do not have Tivo but we do have a HD DVR that we LOVE !! I could not image life without it. Have you guys ever tried to pause, rewind a song on the car radio, I have !

Boss is still being a ---head but I have choose to ignore him because he was depressing me and I'm about to go on my FIRST Disney Cruise so he can take his and shove it !!

I just got some envelopes ready for our trip, have not started packing yet.

I can not believe I forgot to tell DH !! He's bring his Hannah Montana concert T-Shirt. DD is losing her love for HM because hse is so popular. DD has this thing about popular people, she does not care for them. Take Cindrella, DD does not care for her at ALL. Jasmine on the other hand she loves. DD new girlfriend is Selena Gomez from Wizards of Weaverly Place.

Are we going to try to do another chat this weekend ?? I have to work tomorrow but I'll try to stay up, I love chatting with you guys.

maybe what we can do is start the bags in one room and pass them to each room that has something to add and then get together the next day and give it to all the kids.....or secretly slip them onto the beds so they find them when they find the towelgami....

i JUST REALIZED i don't have to cook, clean, shop, email, phone, handle homework, laundry, clean toilets, make beds, listen to complaints about my cooking for 10 days!!!! yea!

Is it time to go yet ! DH is in a very giving mood right now and I'd like to take advantage of it while it last.

Anyone doing the Kennedy Space Center, we are friday before we cruise. DH has wanted to go for a very long time. I even offered for DD and I to stay at the hotel so he could take his time. I'm such a sweet loving wife. I went on a field trip back in elementry school, back then we got to go real close to the shuttles.
