03/01/2008 Eastern!!

Okay fellow cruisers...we were in serious danger of falling OFF of page one!!!! I pulled us back up to the top :thumbsup2
is this for real -- off page 1 -- with the magnitude of posting going on here? i mean, we can't live on the boards -- can we? (well, as it happens it's 3:49 am -- so I guess I answered that myself!)

question: are there shows every night? are they different? somehow, somewhere, I must have missed this one.

Good morning,

Yes there are shows every night. Most are full blown shows (Twice Charmed, The Golden Mickey's, Disney Dreams and Remember the Magic) and one is a Comedian/Magician type show. One night on both of our cruises were movie premiers. On our first cruise it was "Confessions of a teenage Drama Queen" and our 2nd cruise it was "Eight Below" I don't know what Disney movie will be coming out around the time of our cruise but I'm sure that there will be something!

Wonder if this might be the movie premier....

College Road Trip
College Road Trip teams Martin Lawrence (Wild Hogs) and Raven as father and daughter embarking on, as you might guess, a road trip to look at various colleges. Judging from the trailer, it looks like light, predictable family comedy fare, the type where father and daughter bond in a climactic scene before one last joke cues the loud end credits scroll. A couple of young actresses from other Disney Channel shows, Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and Margo Harshman of "Even Stevens" appear on the poster and in the film, while Donny Osmond (Mulan) co-stars. The film opens on March 7, 2008. .

Good afternoon everyone !

Just stopping by to say hi before I go take a nap. Somehow I got roped into coaching Madison's team ( cheerleading) tonight. So another late night for me, to some of you guys it's just the start of night.

My boss is being a total ----head, excuse my mouth or words. I have to work the day we leave for Florida, got to be there by 3:30am, our flight leaves @ 11:45am. Plus he has me working Thursday, helloooooo, I'm going to be in Florida !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So while Rani is have the packing drama, I'm having the boss is a --- drama.

This movie looks cute, and not a bad bet that we'll have it on the cruise if it's opening on the 7th. If you want to watch the trailer click here:

What a pain. Did your boss just think you were kidding when you said you were going to be out of town? Sorry that you have to deal with an idiot!

Hello? (tentatively opening the door and peeking inside) :wave2:

Newbie joining the discussion...are lurking muggles welcome?

I feel like I'm crashing a private party.:sad1:

Hi Wish-Mom,
I was just looking through some posts, and I saw you mixed in there. I think that you got lost amid the chat room discussion.

Are you on board with us March 1st?

Jennifer

Thanks for posting the trailer website..hadn't seen it yet, so just watched ..it does look cute.
YOu know what? In my book, any movie that we can see before anyone else looks good --- ahhh, the pampering.....

OMG - I am so excited for this!

Rani

Oh Rani-

All-
How many of you are planning to rebook on the ship? I would not be surprised if Johnna injects here and gives us the date. I have one lerking in my head thanks to her hidden messages....:cool1:
:

I know this is from a few days back but I'm just trying to catch up!:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

Yes, we are planning to rebook while onboard, but we are not really planning to travel again until 2010. So, unless by some miracle they open the 2010 dates before then...   we will not have a real re-sail date until they do.

Ahh... the great wisdom of Rani... you are right. A movie before anyones else gets to see it, can only be good ;)

And OMG yes...I too am getting so EXCITED!!!

Can you pass that 'wisdom' comment on to my boys? They're at that age where they're doubting I know everything!

We have been listening to Caribbean music every night over dinner, we are definitely getting in the mood here!!!!!

One of my favorite "caribbean" songs is Caribbean Amphibian which can be searched for and found on youtube...other than that I love reggae!

Tomorrow the ticker will say only 1 month, 1 week till the cruise!

Real quick as I am really running out the door to the hospital. We were st the bottom of page 1 and the last post was actually 3 hours ago. I guess the DIS is on Fire......

I will call DCL tomorrow, but almost KNOW we will be the premier audience. We will get it Thursday for sure. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: We were the premier audience for Pirates can not get better than that. We can not call until the one month mark, so I will try tomorrow, but if not then Thursday.....

MICHELLE- Sorry to hear about your boss. If you want to relocate here, we will hire you. Can not help DH as we only have women in our office (SHHHHH, I can not legally say that), but you can work with us if you do not mind hormonal Beer Belly Women or Women whom come in the door at 8 below saying they are "hot". :lmao: :lmao:

I will catch up tomorrow. Gotta Fly.:upsidedow

Tink,

If your a Doctor or Nurse I could not help I'd be on the floor passed out. I have a very weak stomach. Well I could be an office manager I'm great with paperwork. DH would LOVE to be a Mr. MOM but I cost to much so he has to work too.

We just watched the Disney Cruise Line on the Travel channel, when they showed the SPA DH asked what I signed up for !! I said nothing it's at least $100, DH said "So, this is your vacation"

OK, where is my DH and who is this man sitting next to me ?? If you guys see a 6 ft brown hair blue eyes man wondering around that would be my DH not this man who just approved a spa treatment.

One more ramble to prove my point. Rani, thanks Rani, gave us a link for Vista for a free t-shirt (w/ design) I did one for each of us, it came to $18. DH saw me and before I could order then asked me why would I waste money on matching t-shirts. $18, you guys, NOT $100 +++

Well it's off to bed I'm tired, I had to coach tonight so I'm worn out. Keeping 12 little girl in-line and helping them takes a lot.

You guys have a great night and sweet dreams !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle

Okay everybody, I'm catching up. Gone two days, missed three pages. Hopefully I'm reaching back far enough to get everything. I am too lazy to quote each of you ahead of my response, so I hope you remember what you said so that my response makes some sense (I always make sense to myself, but often others have a problem... must be them...). While my responses are addressed to whoever raised a particular issue, all are welcome to read along.

Wish-Mom,
Your posting didn't indicate for certain, but assuming for the moment that you are sailing with us, WELCOME!!!

Rani,
I'm glad you didn't flame me for implicitly making fun of your "thoroughness" with which you prepare. Secretly, I'm acting much the same way as you, I just but on a nonchalance facade. I love football, but have never really gotten into fantasy footbal for the reasons that (1) I feel it ignores the true team nature of the sport, i.e. there is no reason to believe that any of your fantasy team players would have performed the same as they did in real life if they were teamed together instead of on the teams with which they actually play; and (2) I'm lazy.

Micday,
The closest I come to being a fan of NASCAR is watching the movie Cars. By the way, my children have had their picture taken next to the actual tow truck that was the inspiration for Mater. It is located in Galena, KS; a rundown little town along Route 66 that was (I believe) part of the inspiration for Radiator Springs; just up the road from Baxter Springs, which was (I also believe) part of the inspiration for the name of the town in the movie (was that at least somewhat understandable?).

Feiste,
Whereas room decorating created some issues for you just before our cruise, it is turning out to be a good thing for us during the cruise. In this case, are best friends in town are painting and carpeting almost their entire house and remodeling the main bathroom all at one time, and have decided to do it the week that we are on our cruise so that can stay in our house. This is good news for us, but not for the reason that you may guess. We don't really need someone to watch our house while we are away, because we don't have anything worth stealing (recall that we could only afford Cat 12) and because we have a very big and very protective dog that doesn't react kindly to strangers. Instead, the reason that our friends staying at our house is good news is because that same very big and very protective dog can also be very destructive to furniture (in the form of chewing) as a way to deal with the stress he feels from being lonely at night.

Ejkjmom,
Not a big fan of drag racing either, though I tended to drive that way in high school (on city streets at least... on highways and interstates it was more like NASCAR I suppose). To be honest, I still drive like that sometimes, though I think I've toned things down a little.

Craig,
Another dude! Hey, how's it going? You like girls, cars, power tools, and football? Awesome. Me too. By the way, clueless on the phone card thing. I'm vacationing. I don't want to talk to or hear from anyone.

All,
Why do you all keep thinking about what page we are on? Do you go through the Cruise Meets thread to find our thread? Just bookmark our thread, or access it through your list of subscriptions on your User CP. Or is it a pride thing?

Micday,
I know that us men can't figure out you women, but I thought for sure that you women new exactly what makes us men tick. Of course your husband would let you get a spa treatment. He WANTS you to get a spa treatment! Something that would relax you and put you in a better mood, while you have seven days at sea and a club into which you can check your children all day!!! Most husbands on the cruise would probably be agreeable to you getting a spa treatment every single day of the cruise, realizing the potential payoff involved. As far as he's concerned, the spa treatment is not just for you, it's also for him. This ain't the same as a new purse or new shoes. Sorry ladies, but that's the way we are.

- Mike

Hence the reason that we have fish :fish: :fish: :fish:

This would completely be a pride thing on my part, if I looked. Alas, I do not, I simply click on the latest link in my in box.

Last night I told my daughter that sometimes I believe that she was the role model for Sponge Bob (long story) The girls then decided that I was Sandy, and their dad was Mr. Crabs because "You make all the money but you don't like to spend any of it, unless it's on really expensive stuff." Needless to say I was sitting in the corner doing this:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Jen-
You have to fill us in on the spongebob story on the ship, now for sure. SHHHHHHHH are we allowed to talk Nick here??? I know, one of us is doing the NICK hotel prior :ssst: I was on the floor :rotfl2: when I saw that comment as I can totally relate....

The animals are an issue. This is the reason we have someone stay at our house as well. I told you we have a dog and a bird...... Sorry Melissa, no intent, but I am not feeling the animal love. I do love our animals but then think, it is a lot of arrangements to get someone to stay, to clean up perfect before you go and make sure that enough animal food is around before hand. Then we have this picky parrot that sometimes will do hunger strikes when we are gone. This is the reason we are so particular whom watches her. Another reason we have to get someone to come here to stay because she can not be taken out in March, she has to go to bed at a certain time and will not shut up until you get her up in the morning when she wants to get up. She is a second child to us as she is older than the kids, just a lot of work...

Not only that, the lady who watches after them is such a Crafty person, she gives my sewing Machines major Overtime while we are away. If I come back and one is smoking, it means she was here sewing all day. I rather for her to scrapbook. That's it, maybe I will leave all of my pictures out and come home to four completed scrapbooks.:woohoo:

I think Wish Mom since she was such a new poster got a little lost to our thread. I do not think she is sailing with us. Now for Stephanie they are suppose to be, but we have not heard back from her...... Anyone talk to her outside of the thread?

My DH does the fantasy football thing. I do not say anything because each year he comes home and gives me money from the results of his picking...... I guess that is cool. No NASCAR stuff for us. DH does something for work that he feels this sport is a :scared1: :sad2: :scared1: .

Nice to hear from Craig....... I was begining to think Mrs. Dayz was actually Miss Dayz and Craig was a fairytale character of the Tinkerbell Doll Rani..:lmao: Since Mike thinks my DK and DH is made up just so that I can bring more bags on the ship............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Mike, I do not believe you actually responded that way to the Spa treatment request. I should have selected very carefully who we dined with, sounds as if the MAD Family may not be making it to dinner some nights. :upsidedow I WONDER why?:confused3

Evryone, I am too lazy to figure out the ticker thing, so I jump on the boards everyday just to see Rani's. So, thanks for doing that.
-Tink

MAD,

You and my DH should get along great. He's got love on the brain all the time too. Maybe he'll get you intrested in NASCAR, God knows, he knows enough about it.

Brenda,

DH is not into fantasy football because he lose the one true player to his heart, Dan Marino. It's a good thing DD was born in 1999 or he might of needed therapy ( probaly does need it but I'm spending the money on this cruise ! )

Rani,
Your lucky to get to listen to music while eating. My two couch potates would love to have the TV on. When we sit down together to eat NO TV is alllowed.

Feiste,
You must have whirlwind energy to do what your doing, me, I shop for the stuff and then leave DH to do it. Trust me it's better for everyone in this family to do it that way. Plus I'm super lazy ! Glad to have you back too !

Tink,
See you should of booked the bird too then you would of needed a cat 4. Bigger stateroom with smaller fifth passenger. Hench more luggage space.

Everyone,

I bought the things to go around our necks for our KTKRSVHDXB ( whatever that abbrvation is ??) cards. DH had a fit, not because of the money, but he said I'm trying to dork him out !

1. I want to wear matching t-shirts ( who wouldn't ?? )
2. I want to wear cordinating colors ( for pictures )
3. I want him to wear his TUX or rent one ( again for pictures )
4. I'm making him bring his clothes that needed ironing ( again for pictures )

I could go on but I don't want to bore you guys with my nondisney acting Hubby !!

Well I'll let someone else get us back up to page one.

Michelle
