Michelle- You did tell DCL it was her b-day right. They will celebrate at dinner for you by bringing her out a little cake. Tell her, her and I have to celebrate our b-days by the pool with an icecream sundae.
The night of my b-day, we will go to dinner for a while and then we have Palo ressies. I will be honest, we may cancel Palo as we are going to Brunch that day as well. Not so crazy about the dinner food anyway as I have found it to be so rich for my tummy. Plus it is formal night and we like dressing up for dinner and we "should be" in Luminere's that night, if all goes according to plan and I like being dressier in the dressier restaurant.
Michelle-Send her gift to the ship ahead of time. When you get there, it will be in your room, but just place it in the closet and tell your SH, on the morning of her b-day when you go to the WDT for Customs (I'll explain that in the e-mail), have the SH place it on her bed and let her be suprised. If you do the stateroom celebrations DCL has, they will be there when we arrive on the 1st, not actually her b-day. Also if you bring simple decorations, the SH will put those up for you. MOST of them are terrific. Oh, NO BALLOONS are allowed though. We learned this the hard way first cruise. It is for the safety of the ocean animals. We brought a beautiful balloon first cruise that we had gotton from WDW. Cost us about $20 if I remember correctly. They took it at the port. We also did a ballon drop for our 4th of July cruise and DCL made it a point of telling us three times that for "NO REASON" was anyone allowed to take a balloon that had not been popped out of the atrium for any reason. But the other decorations are cool. They went on to say that included the latex of popped one too, needed to stay in the atrium for proper disposal.
ALL- Please tell me you do not want to do the fish extender thing too. I can not work on any other projects.
So are we passing on any idea of exchanges on the ship. If we do something, can it just be on our own, I hope. Just can not keep up with the Martha Stewart things 24/7, plus I have to deliver 16 more babies I calculated, to pay for the average tab I run up on the ship.
Okay Rani- DCL sent us an cruise ship countdown for New Years and I have now changed that to our cruise date, so I am too now getting
I do have a DCL house party I have agreed to host though, so I have to get that going. I love to throw parties though.
