03/01/2008 Eastern!!

Michelle- You did tell DCL it was her b-day right. They will celebrate at dinner for you by bringing her out a little cake. Tell her, her and I have to celebrate our b-days by the pool with an icecream sundae.

The night of my b-day, we will go to dinner for a while and then we have Palo ressies. I will be honest, we may cancel Palo as we are going to Brunch that day as well. Not so crazy about the dinner food anyway as I have found it to be so rich for my tummy. Plus it is formal night and we like dressing up for dinner and we "should be" in Luminere's that night, if all goes according to plan and I like being dressier in the dressier restaurant.

Michelle-Send her gift to the ship ahead of time. When you get there, it will be in your room, but just place it in the closet and tell your SH, on the morning of her b-day when you go to the WDT for Customs (I'll explain that in the e-mail), have the SH place it on her bed and let her be suprised. If you do the stateroom celebrations DCL has, they will be there when we arrive on the 1st, not actually her b-day. Also if you bring simple decorations, the SH will put those up for you. MOST of them are terrific. Oh, NO BALLOONS are allowed though. We learned this the hard way first cruise. It is for the safety of the ocean animals. We brought a beautiful balloon first cruise that we had gotton from WDW. Cost us about $20 if I remember correctly. They took it at the port. We also did a ballon drop for our 4th of July cruise and DCL made it a point of telling us three times that for "NO REASON" was anyone allowed to take a balloon that had not been popped out of the atrium for any reason. But the other decorations are cool. They went on to say that included the latex of popped one too, needed to stay in the atrium for proper disposal.;)

ALL- Please tell me you do not want to do the fish extender thing too. I can not work on any other projects. :faint: So are we passing on any idea of exchanges on the ship. If we do something, can it just be on our own, I hope. Just can not keep up with the Martha Stewart things 24/7, plus I have to deliver 16 more babies I calculated, to pay for the average tab I run up on the ship. :headache:

Okay Rani- DCL sent us an cruise ship countdown for New Years and I have now changed that to our cruise date, so I am too now getting :hyper: ::yes:: I do have a DCL house party I have agreed to host though, so I have to get that going. I love to throw parties though.:woohoo:

"Oh, NO BALLOONS "

I just found some Hannah Montana Balloons that I was going to bring, thanks for telling me !

I can't bring her present, she wants a HM electric guitar. Could you see me trying to hide that in the luggage !:lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I could see the big orange HEAVY tag they will slap across your luggage if you tried to bring it. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
That is too funny....... I just know abouut the BIG ORANGE sticker from past trips, plus the extra $$ I have to pull out at the airport....

I have no idea what this fish extender is.......

Tink - I am going to have a hard time using your name on the ship since I like calling you tink ---- anyway, DCL sent you what for the countdown.....?

DCL sent me a ship via e-mail. It was a picture of the ship that counted down until New Years and these fireworks went off over the ship. Once you down load it to the computer, you can change it to any date you want, so I put in our cruise date. I have the fireworks to go off the night before we leave. It was a "Holiday Card", they sent me. Really cute. Tink is fine, makes me feel skinny......:rotfl:

Hey guys, I have to logg off just for a minute to find a YouTube link I watched and I want to post it here for you. So give me a minute.....

Okay guys, I find that we are all on a lot lately at the same time. Too bad that chat board is not working, it would be sooo much fun......

Everyone-
Here is a link I found on YouTube (believe it or not, I just found out what you tube was recently through a post on a thread.:lmao: ), I am a little computer slow. Okay, first of all,, you have to turn your computers volume on if it is not, the audio makes it.... Second for those of us whom have gone before, think about the feeling you get the very last show in the WDT. Now everyone, grab a couple of tissues and look at the link. Let me know what you think.....

Okay Brenda- I cried too with yours, but a different type of tears. I think I also wet my pants........... That was tooooooo funny. Tell them they are being requested back by popular demand.
Johnna- When you peek back here, skip Bon Jovi, that is way coooooler....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is really sweet of you, Brenda and Mike !!!

Tink & Rani,

I tried to log on to the chat and it looks like it's still down. I know we where talking about getting together later today.

So where is everyone staying the night before ? We are staying at the County Inn and Suites.

Michelle
We are staying at the Radison...the girls love the pool,
last year some of the dis'ers meet up with us there and the kids swam and us adults sat around the pool..had a drink and visited, if anyones interested in joing us this year, we would be more than happy to meet up with you there!!!
Last year we all (the Dis'ers) went to Grill's to eat, but I think this year we are just going to order a pizza, for the simple reason, the girls are looking forward to start swimming ASAP!!!!!...

Hey All,

I am responding to a number of different posts from the last couple of days.

I hope that the fish-extender discussion wasn't because I mentioned it in my no-room-to-pack-undies rant. I was just kidding. I do not see us doing the fish-extender thing, unless everyone else on the thread suddenly indicated a burning desire to do so. Just one more thing to take up time to make, take up space to pack, not get used, and possibly get stolen. In fact, we may skip the pillowcase thing as well. After-all, it's not like the kids get to see the characters sign them, and since we haven't actually mentioned it specifically to the kids, they would never know that they missed out on anything in particular.

We liked the video links, especially the one with Mark Story doing the Village People (He was so off, I wondered if he had ever actually seen them before!).

Some packing questions for the cruise veterans. Is it better to try and pack clothes to make it all the way through the trip, or just assume that you will do laundry some time and cut back on how much clothing to pack. Also, one pair of tennis shoes or two? Two swimsuits or three (we need at least two, as DW and I both hate to put on a damp swimsuit)?

We are staying the night before the cruise at the hotel in the Orlando airport (I think it's a Hyatt).

The offer to make door signs remains open.

- Mike

I must have a fish extender. Who is going to make one for me? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Oh geez, what is a fish extender?

All right -I did some research and am now in the 'know' about these fish extenders. I can positively say with only the probability of some uncertainly that there is a chance that under no uncertain terms with some effort I may be interested in partaking of this trend which I am only slightly able to possibly comprehend how I will ultimately and with no pressure from the obvious forces of nature fit into my entrourage of suitcases.

whewww!

Time to let you guys in on all of the secrets that I am keeping from my children!;) ;) ;)

We had been planning to drive down to Florida Thursday night. However, my daughters are on mid-winter break the week before the cruise. I found $99 one way fares to Tampa Tuesday the 26th. So the girls and I are flying down Tuesday and will spend a few days with my SIL, BIL, niece and nephew. My SIL will then drive us to Orlando on Friday where we will meet up with my DH, DM and DD at the Nick Hotel Friday night. The girls have been dying to stay there for years!

The girls of course know that we are going on the cruise. But I am not planning to on telling them about the Tampa trip or the Nick Hotel until the last minute possible! My parents are coming over Tuesday to pick up our luggage so that they can "pack the car early" for the trip Thursday. We will then go out to lunch. Lunch will conveniently be at the airport. This is when I will tell them that we are on the way to Florida! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have been giggling to myself the last few days because the girls have bee discussing what they are packing for the LLLLOOOOONNNNGGGG car ride. How many books, how many games. You bring this and I'll bring that. It just makes me laugh. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don't think that we will be meeting up Friday night, as the girls are going to want to spend every minute they can in the hotel! Besides that I need to leave later that evening for my camp out at the port 1:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
SHHHHH! Don't give away my secret!

:lmao::rotfl: :lmao::rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:
Thank God no one else is in my office right now - they missed my spit-take when I read this! One of Brenda's DD's commented that they thought Mark was only doing the "M" part of YMCA because his name is Mark. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I so needed that this morning - I was stuck in horrible traffic on the way to work, almost got sideswiped, and then couldn't find the keys to my office.

This totally changed the mood of the day.:yay: :yay:

Just a thought, you might not want to do this with the guitar, but I think I heard that you can ship a box to the port... Anyone know anything about this? If you could ship presents that would be "The best of both worlds" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This is Ron here.... Brenda's hubbie. I never post on these boards because I don't want to make a fool out of myself before I meet everyone, but after hearing that Brenda posted the u-tube link ... looks like she took care of that for me.
I have to admit though, seeing Mark do his M, makes me want to find him a hardhat and set out to have a Village People reunion tour.

It just doesn't get any better than having an embarrassing video of yourself floating around on the internet. (Thank-you Disney Bride lol!!!)
Seriously though, I look forward to meeting everyone and can't wait for our trip.
Ron
