03/01/2008 Eastern!!

Ron,

I'm glad to see you on the boards. I could be wrong, but I believe I'm the only guy that's been on regularly. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the woman have been trepidatious in talking with a male stranger, and there are time that I wish more guys were on (make it less of a estrogen-fest!).

All,

I'm uncertain about the fish-extender thing, but was wondering if anyone else was planning on bringing a Johnson Rod?

Okay Mike...I was able to figure out the fish extender on my own (had not heard of it before as well) but a Johnson Rod???

Me too ?? What is a Johnson Rod ???

I googled Johnson Rod and it came up with this:

Seinfeld slang for a fake mechanical part used to jack up the price on your ignorant azz.

Very funny Mike, I guess you have to throw in a little male humor to keep things a little even !

Mike, I told Brenda what a "Johnson Rod" was, but she's not buying it. Ron

Ron,

Mike seems like he's getting a litle lonely talking to us women, please save him by posting too.

Are we the only ones staying at the County Inn and Suites ?? How far are we from everyone else. I feel so alone ):

Actually the Raddison and the Country Inn and Suites are pretty close, I want to say like just a block or two apart...in fact I think pretty much everything in that town is on one main street...
Mark and Johnna, stayed there last year (at the Country Inn)....so we will have to check w/ her for sure.....

Are you arriving on Friday??? I think we land in Orlando like at 4:00 on Friday..

It's a secret ( Madison does not know ) but we are leaving on the 27th and staying at the AKL ( savannh view ) for two nights then we are staying at the County Inn friday night to be close to the port.

We missed the Pirate and Princess party by one night ):

Madison thinks we have to be early for the cruise, she totally trust in what ever we say ! I can't wait to see her face when she realizes what is really happening.

RANI- Well really everyone, but Rani in particular. Here is a link to the postcard pass it on thread:

We did this on our first cruise. I had postcards sent to my kids and my parents. Someone who has recently been on a cruise will send your kids a postcard (prior to the cruise) from one of the characters on the ship. Just a quick note telling your kids how excited the character is to have the kids coming on board, and that they (the character) can't wait to see them (your kids). Just a little something fun. The only cost is the hope that you will "pay it forward" when you return home.

I love surprises. I feel like there are far to many true surprises in life, so good for you pulling the big fast one on your DD!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Half-time of the LSU v. OSU game, so I have a few minutes for posting.

I think of the Johnson Rod bit as being more of a Seinfeld thing than a guy thing, but as it came on the heels of my comments about not enough guys, I can see the assumption that it's a guy thing. I basically use "Johnson Rod" whenever I want ot refer to a made-up thing that sounds real. Since I tend to want to know about every single thing I hear about on the boards (similar to Rani), I figured others were the same way. When I discovered that even some of the cruising veterans had not heard of everything (such as fish extenders), I figured I had a shot to get people excited or at least curious.

That's twice I've tried to trick folks, so I understand if you won't trust me any more. I promise to stop (At least, I promise to try to stop). My apologies.

Half-time's over. Talk later.

Thats okay Mike. We figured you meant something else, but I had a good laugh over it. I'm a huge college football fan also so I'm out. Ron

Okay, I was happy I did not come back to the thread to read it before it got explained; because as I was reading it too, I wondered, "What the heck is Mike talking about....???????" I am happy you guys cleared it up by the time I came to read it. Thanks.

Here is the latest thread on the fish extenders that is on the boards now.

Thank you guys for saying NO, I just could not imagine doing something else. Mike, I may take you uop on your offer for door signs, I am waiting to hear back from a DISer I made a trade with. She promised to do some for me because I did something for her. :hippie:

And I'm half tempted to mention those orange "HEAVY" tags that Tink was talking about earlier! (Okay, I'd better quit, before I really do get kicked off the boards)

OK, my verdict is absolutely not doing those fish extender thing. I found them on ebay and they were expensive. So I looked into making them and you know what --- I'm just never going to get around to it ---

Hope everyone is getting even more excited -- I know I am! Oh,,, and my kids too.....

Can a vet tell me: is there a need for me to bring water wings for DD - 4? Do they have them there?

I'm pretty sure that they have them there for purchase, but they will be twice as much as you would pay elsewhere. You could just pop into a CVS/Walgreens on the way to the port and get them there. Since they won't be blown up they won't take up much space in your day bag.

Jennifer

Or make her where them aboard, then they don't take any packing space at all. If you think like my DW, you can make your DH wear them (like on his ankles or wrists). That way, it takes up no more packing space and doesn't inconvenience the ladies.
