01/04/05 4 Day Magic Roll Call

Didn't mean to submit new thread but wanted to know how many 18 to 21 year old cruisers were going to be aboard? Sherry - talk about coincidence I have two coworkers going with my DH and myself - there names: Stephanie age 21 and Tara age 20. What are your girls planning on doing in Nassau and at CC. Want to recommend some fun things for them to do. Can the girls get into all of the shows and lounges?

:hyper: ::yes::
I can't stop laughing. Do you mind if I use your line on my kids???? Thing is, knowing me, they'd probably believe it's true!

Dawne, what a coincidence. They will be able to get in the shows and lounges, the age is 18. Don't tell, but Tara went into them last year with us, she was a lot older than the kids in the teen club. They don't have any special plans for the islands yet. They have expressed an interest in seeing Atlantis.

Hi everyone-Happy Thursday.

I was just on DCL web site and they are no longer showing rooms for 1/4/05 sailing. I called DCL and they informed me that they are sold out for this cruise. Someone bought up the block of rooms that were left.

I still have not heard back from the reservation mgr.regarding the brunch- Hopefully next week.

Have a Happy Halloween to all. I will try to post before we leave tomorrow so we do not fall to far behind.

Gail

Someone bought up all the rooms that were left?

Wow, I wonder what that means?

I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be to crowded, there were still
plenty of cabins left several weeks ago, altho none in the inside
I think.

Well more people to meet and enjoy!

dclwdwlover - of course you can use that line - and did I make it sound like I was kidding. Of I forgot, I will also leave them consecutive years of WDW guidebooks, several stuffed Mickeys, numerous Disney prints and my infamous "Been there, Done that, Going Back" magnet/bumper sticker. Of course I know it sounds like a fortune to one and all but I do have 5 children that have to share all of this.
Sherry - great to know about the clubs. The girls were also thinking about Atlantis. My Tara loves aquariums.
By the way, just last night I checked different sites checking on cabin availability (caught "balcony fever") and saw about 40 open cabins available - categories 11 thru 5. The first/second passenger was still going for $519 per(cat 11) so this procrastinator still got a great deal.

Hello, All!
This is our first cruise-my DH, DD 8, DS 7, DS 4, DD 17 mo. Plus my in-laws, my sil and her DH and their two DS 5 & 3. My in-laws are taking us all in memory of our Grandma and we are getting SO EXCITED!! My 4 kids don't know yet--hoping to tell them Christmas morning. Haven't gotten any cabin info yet from in-laws but my eyes about crossed from reading all the tips and posts on the DIS forums! We will be at WDW on 1/1 before leaving on the Magic. Staying at the Poly. This is my first time back to WDW since they were building Epcot so I can't wait!

Does anyone have a suggestion as far as what to do with a car seat from my little one? We'll have one for her seat on the plane but I'm wondering what to do with it for the rest of the trip. Any suggestions would be great!

See you in January

WOW! 20 days at the resorts. I can't even imagine! What a nice vacation. I don't think it's bad at all, either.

I just tried to book POP just for one night in December (my b'day weekend) since they have really good FRRs right now ($49.00), but it wasn't available. :( We've never been to POP & try to visit all the resorts, but no luck. I booked the ASM instead.

Enjoy. You're going to have a wonderful trip.

I just called DCL & the CM confirmed that there are still 'quite a few' cabins left on our sailing. I inquired about verandahs available & she said that there were several Navigator Verandahs on Deck 7 (Cat. 7) that would cost $400.00 more than what we're paying now for my mom & son's SPH cabin.

Glad to have you joining us. You sound like you have a nice group going with you.

I hope that you will have a great time.

I don't have any idea what you would do with the car seat. Maybe put it in the closet or you could try asking your room steward if they would find a place to store it for you during the cruise.

Again, welcome aboard

On our last cruise we were across the hall from a storage area where they keep the strollers. There were several strollers that you could tell were people's personal ones. Maybe they could keep the car seat there, also.

Hi all,

Just called Costco for a quote, they said there is no sailing on 1/4/04. Do you think the Magic 4 day sailing confused them? A poster above said there are quite a few rooms still available. Anyone here book through Costco Travel? I'm still waiting to hear back from Micdan.com and DU for quotes. Allseastravel.com has rates on their site.

:bounce:

I booked through allseas this time, I think they reserve rooms
for a group price so if its on their web site they probably still have
them. A month or so ago I checked with DU because our friends
wanted to join us and DU had a slightly better price so maybe you will be lucky with them. Our friends decieded to go with all
seas since they wanted to link their reservation with ours for
rooms and seating.

Sure hope you get to go!

Thanks for the storage room info for the car seat. I'll probably have an umbrella stroller as well and think things might be kind of crowded in our room as it is.

WinterMom did I read earlier that you have a 7 yr old girl? Maybe our daughters can play together in the kids club.

Thanks again!

We were on a 3 night cruise that was sold out in May. Honestly, we never felt like the ship was crowded. Even finding seats for the shows wasn't a problem. Maybe we'll notice it more on the sea day though.

I see a few of us are starting the cruise with a trip to Disney first. We're actually taking a pre-Christmas trip in just a few weeks. My kids still don't know anything about it. I'd love to keep the surprise just as long as possible. Even DH has a number of surprises in store for him. I've still kept it a secret that our cruise is the 4 night and not 3, although I've come close to letting it slip out a few times now.

Gail, I'm not sure what our brunch plans are, but that would be great if the private room worked out.

I did tell my DH the other day that I've invited a "few" close friends to our stateroom for a meet & greet :wave2: . I think he liked me better when I was shy and reserved.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween everyone.

We are traveling with another couple who have on DD age 7 also
Tell your daughter both girls will look forward to meeting her.
Gail has a DD same age as well so there should be a nice group
to play with. I wish it was December!

Hello all :wave2:

Dsis is joining us on this cruise, she booked last week. As she did`nt use the same TA as me ( thats sisters for you!) who should I contact to ensure we sit together at meal times?

Have a great Halloween everyone, I`ve been to one kids party this evening and off to an adults party tomorrow.

Julie.
