I think it is, the curtains and carpet in the living room are different than in prior videos….the chair/ottoman combo in the master bedroom is definitely different as well….Is this recently posted video post-refurb?
Seems to be a pretty long backup at Wilderness lodge as well. We were at BRV in June and took the boat back to MK and the line to MK took up most of the dock. Hope they can do something better in the future.Magic Kingdom Water Taxi Service to Nearby Resorts Makes Major Change
The complimentary water taxi service from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge has changed protocols, affecting some transportation wait times and policies.
Previously, there was one boat route that took guests between Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Another, totally separate boat traveled to and from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Now, one boat is transporting guests to both resorts, leaving Magic Kingdom and stopping at Wilderness Lodge first before heading to the campgrounds.
This means there is no longer a direct boat to the campgrounds, creating a backup at the Fort Wilderness dock. What used to be a 20 minute boat journey from the park to the campgrounds has become roughly 35 minutes with the additional Wilderness Lodge stop.
The change reportedly has to do with the amount of boats that can accommodate scooters and strollers. Scooters can only travel on the large enclosed boats, not the small open air boats. And strollers have to be folded up on the small boats.
With the updated route, a large boat now stops at both resorts, followed closely by a small boat.
A third water taxi connects Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, but this route does not begin operating until the afternoon.
Yes, it’s stated in the article posted:Just confirmed with Member services.
The reason is too many ECVs. What a ridiculous “solution.”
Make service worse for the majority for the sake of the few.
If I'm following everything correctly, it sounds to me like if you catch the boat at WL, you will have to go to FW and then MK. Basically sounds like a MK-WL-FW loop for all the boats. I don't see how this can work long-term with LSL on the horizon.Excuse my WL WDW transportation ignorance. Will this create extra waits going to/from WL to MK or is it really only effecting Ft Wilderness?
Ugh not cool.If I'm following everything correctly, it sounds to me like if you catch the boat at WL, you will have to go to FW and then MK. Basically sounds like a MK-WL-FW loop for all the boats. I don't see how this can work long-term with LSL on the horizon.
Agreed - if you were trying to do EE, would be enough to get me to consider a Minnie Van.Ugh not cool.
Busses are still an option!Agreed - if you were trying to do EE, would be enough to get me to consider a Minnie Van.
Should be the only option for ECVs. If the boats can’t accommodate an ECV, then move them to the busses, don’t eliminate the boat routes. It’s craziness.Busses are still an option!
