I like the blue paint and addition of the Murphy bed. I think the villa looks really nice, but I have never had the pleasure of staying in one. I would love to see pictures of a studio. That is my home away from home. Thanks for posting the pictures!

The tub looks the same. The only differences I can see are the rug, curtains, throw pillows, that side table (?), and of course the murphy Makes sense since this is a soft goods refurb

I’m way out of the loop and couldn’t find this in the thread. Where are they in the refurb? Are certain floors completed? We arrive next week and was curious.

Definitely thrilled about the murphy beds in both! Truthfully I was shocked to hear about the CCV refurb as it still seems brand new to us But I guess time flies - our first stay was early 2018 and we bought points there in 2020 with our unused travel funds that year

Overall, I like the refresh. Like I said above, I miss the bed runners, I dislike the layered sheets thing that Disney does. Also, the teal colored rug looks odd to me, I'm not really seeing that color in the rest of the villa and it kind of clashes with the pillow on the sofa. Maybe it looks better in person?

I’m on team bed runners too. I wasn’t expecting much to change this time around. I hope they can do as good of a job as Boulder Ridge when the hard refurb comes up.

It's been rumoured that they will but nothing confirmed yet. Only pictures of studios on the 7th floor have been shared and they have the regular sofa beds.

7th floor is supposedly complete and they are working on 4,5,6 now. I have not heard anything beyond that yet.

Thank you, we have a 1br reserved coming up soon, but I was thinking it may be a good time for us to try BRV since we've never stayed there. I think BRV may have already been updated to murphy beds recently.

I currently have a 1 BR in CCV reserved for early February, but if I were going in the next few months, I'd probably do BRV just because you have no guarantee that you'll get one of the refurbished CCV 1 BRs. BRV had a full refurb (not just soft goods) a couple of years ago - check out the DVC Fan 1 BR video tour. TBH, I am constantly tempted to switch to BRV for my February stay because they seem to have really nailed their refurb (to be fair, CCV's is just a soft goods one, so you wouldn't expect anything too drastic).

Given that they are going from the top down, and the refurbishment is supposed to end sometime in September, most of the 1BRs are likely to be done in the next two-ish months or so.

That said, I love me some BRV. (Actually, I love VWL, and will always call it that.)

One word of caution, the top floor of BRV do not have the Murphy beds, they are pull out sofas. Newer sofas, but still pull outs.
