I am torn between this one and jbjb, so it would make my decusion easier if one was not offered.
That is a tough one! These are our top 2 in terms of quality of dessert party.I am torn between this one and jbjb, so it would make my decusion easier if one was not offered.
You're welcome. Too bad it was indoors but that's almost the standard location during the summer. If you liked the indoor version, you would have liked the outdoor version even more.
Two questions (I'm sorry if they've already been asked or answered): We are going to this party on 8/23. Should I just expect it will be in the Norway pavilion? Will they notify us if this is the case? Also, if it's in the Norway pavilion, do we just watch the fireworks near the pavilion? Or do they escort us over to the traditional party spot near Mexico?
Also, is it super important to be on time for this party? Our start time is listed as 8 pm, but it won't take us an hour to eat dessert.
Thanks for any information!!
Who cares about dessert! There are alcoholic beveridges!!!
NoShould I just expect it will be in the Norway pavilion?
They'll call the phone number on the rez when they decide to move it.Will they notify us if this is the case?

No, tables are preassigned so it'll be there for you no matter what time you arrive.is it super important to be on time for this party?
You'll lose about 15 minutes because of the additional escort to the viewing area. Our start time is listed as 8 pm, but it won't take us an hour to eat dessert.

It depends on where the party takes place. If it's at the regular location at Mexico Vista, you should expect to share a table, but it depends on the make up of the groups on any given night. They do try to give each group their own table but sometimes it's not possible. If it's at the Norway Loft, there are fewer tables and they are much larger tables, expect to share a table. One more question - if we are a party of 2, should I expect we will be seated with another family?

If it's the line I think it is, those people had already checked in, they were waiting for the party to begin. There's no advantage arriving earlier than 10 to 15 minutes before the advertised start time. Usually, there will be no line at that point. And that's only if you want the maximum amount of time at the party. We walked by at some point pre-8pm and there was a really long line already lined up.
Can't say that I've ever seen that, but I guess you could. What I have seen is people sitting on a bench that is located near the buffet tables. When I observe someone or a couple sitting on the bench, it's usually because they are not comfortable sharing a table. I'll intervene and inform the Leader to see if there's another option. There usually is.Is it an option to stand?
I often travel alone with my now 10 year old and I've found beveridges helpI'm traveling alone with a 10-year old, so I won't be imbibing in any "beveridges".
