“Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” with Fireworks Viewing and After-Close Attraction Ride

Finally got back from Disney after Irma decided to keep us for a few extra days. :)

We had a great time at the Frozen Dessert Party. Meeting Fastpasser was a highlight for sure!

It was held indoors, but with only 80 of us, we had plenty of space and tons of food/beverages. We enjoyed the food offerings way more than we thought we would and our table (all adults) entertained ourselves for quite some time taking pictures of smoke coming out of our noses and mouths from the nitro frozen popcorn. Lol

We had a great view of the show, but I could see where seating could be bad depending on table location. We stood and moved around a few times to get to a clear view. We also enjoyed the special glasses and have saved them for our next trip to reuse.

We rode the ride quickly and with no delays. By the time we git out, the park had pretty much cleared and we had an easy walk to the busses.

All-in-all, we thought this was a great time and a good use of our money. No complaints about the party at all and the cast members were exceptional. Getting to meet and chat with Fastpasser just made it all the better!

I think that my daughter and I were there the same night as you. I wish I had known that there was another DISer there, and I also regret not knowing who FastPasser was. All the CMs were wonderful, though. We originally scheduled the 9/9 party but switched last minute to 9/8 when we found a flight out Saturday morning. We enjoyed all the food offerings (especially the breads/broccoli with the cheese) and were sad that we filled up so fast. My daughter enjoyed the adult beverages that she tried.

We were in the tail end of the group walking over to the viewing location but still were able to get up near the fence for a great view of the show. Since we're short, that was key to viewing for us. I'm not sure that we would have been able to see as well if it were a full party. We have several pairs of similar glasses for Christmas lights, but I had no idea how well they worked with fireworks. It was a very fun experience to use them.

We were a little worried that we'd feel like we were swimming upstream on the way back to Frozen Ever After, but the CMs made it easy to walk back there. Again, we were in the back of the pack, but we still had a very short wait at the ride. Although we'd ridden it a couple of times during the week, we forgot about the photo. Ours is hilarious. Everyone around us in the boat looks like they are having a great time. Even though we were thoroughly enjoying the ride, I look like I'm plotting a murder, and my daughter looks completely zoned out--she didn't drink that much. ;)

We were very happy that we had the chance to attend the party even though Irma changed our plans at the last minute.

Glad it worked out.
Question, would you have preferred the outside location or is the indoor venue with AC a better option?

I don't know if you thought the dessert portion of the party was short, but that has been mentioned by some guests. Whenever the party takes place indoors, the dessert portion is shorter than the outdoor version because guests are already at the viewing and can also continue to eat and drink during the show.

I would have preferred the outside location (though with the rain earlier in the day I completely understood why it was moved inside), but heat doesn't really bother me. I didn't find the dessert portion too short, but I think it would have felt more relaxed to have a table right out at the viewing location. It was nice that they announced that you could take a drink/dessert out with you, and my daughter did get a drink to take with her. I also think that a table of 5 may have been better than the larger tables indoors as far as having conversation with other guests. But it might just have been because our table wasn't filled, so people were more spread out.

Just scored a reservation for 11/24. Perfect end to an Epcot day. Will see Candlelight Processional at 6:45 and then head over.

We have done MK Dessert Party before, but this will be our first in Epcot.

And yay, day before my FP reservation date I no longer have to worry about FEA or Illuminations as choices.

I am so excited! I thought everything was booked for this the entire time we were there (but have nonetheless been checking everyday). I just reserved this for the 23rd of December. YAY! We now have 21st Holiday Wishes, then this, 24th HEA and 25th Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam. Hopefully, we will still fit in our car after all this.

Wow, attending four dessert parties in 5 days!
We were going to do Star Wars too, but we are only going to be at HS on two evenings and I love Fantasmic and didn't do it last time because we did Star Wars so we are skipping that one. Of course it we did that one, we would do them all in one trip. Hmmmm....

We will be there from the 17th to the 30th. We wanted Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the special events because it will be so crowded. This will get us out of the crowds. The 21st is when we are doing MVMCP so that was a have to since they are not doing those fireworks on other days. We originally had the 18th for HEA and thought Christmas Wishes would be on the 24th and we wanted Frozen on the 17th after our CP, but they didn't offer it. So that is how it worked out and we are so excited! We won't eat too many desserts, but we do want the reserved seating. We are going for the Christmas offerings so this works out perfectly.

ETA: Not necessarily out of the crowds, but at least out of sitting and waiting for hours within the crowds.

but we do want the reserved seating.
You probably know this, but there is no seating, standing only, at the JBJB viewing area. And if the FEA party is moved indoors due to weather, which I doubt as it's Dec, but you never know, there is no seating at the FEA viewing area as well.

Yes, we have been to a couple of parties before. I should have said reserved area. I am just too excited! But thanks for the info.

For anyone who is considering or has booked the party, WDWNT posted a review of the FEA dessert party yesterday. Once again, it's of the indoor version. If they liked the indoor party, they would have loved the outdoor party.

There was a post recently on this thread which said that the indoor version of the party was too crowded and that they could not get out from their seat without asking people to move. Also, that the table layout was poor and made for a bad experience. For anyone concerned after reading that review, there are photos showing the entire venue.

That was my post. And from what I can tell from their pictures, they changed the layout. I don’t see a table in the corner of the back room. The layout even in the other room looks different than the night I went. Tables definitely look more spread out now.
