Alrightie...I am missing my dose of this great DCL group.
Also has anyone been to St. Marten before? Or know how long it takes to get to the airport there? Must sound crazy to you (I know it does to my wife) but really the only thing I want to see is the airport....
That's all my DS who wants to be a pilot wants to go do! He watches the videos of the planes landing at St. Maarten on YouTube all the time!

triplefigs,

This AM there was an article in our local paper about the Waterpark in the Gulf - here's the link to the article. There are like 3 pics. Just opened a day or so ago and it looks AWESOME.

Hope everyone is doing well. Our warm 80 degree weather has been cold, rainy, and nasty for the past 2 weeks. I keep telling DH we need to move to FL. I am ready for some sun~!

Whaaa! :sad1: 80 degree weather :rolleyes2 We went from the snow and frost making it's way out of ground to being snowed in last Wed. w/ a snow day, 3 cars stuck (including the truck w/ the plow on it) 20 yards from the house on a 1/2 mile gravel driveway :headache:

But today... it is about 41-44 degrees outside and it feels AWESOME!!! Last week DH said thank God the computer wasn't working... he definitely has had enough WINTER here this year! He was going to look for a job elsewhere where it doesn't snow!

We may even hit low 50s in the next few days! No jacket days are here again!

Ok, now that my sarcasm is out (Sorry... Winter has been waaaayyy ttooo looong this year) ;) I must say, I love that we are getting closer to the sailing date! And adding more friends! :cheer2: Welcome all our new friends! I will have to work on FE gifts more :goodvibes

I said the same thing!!!! Winter was wayyy to long this year, and it's going to try to snow/rain tonight as well. I am so looking for a job in FL or AZ. I talked my wife into getting one of the big Aerins snowblowers next year...but I'd rather be in a place where they've never seen one! :rotfl:

I found some of those Disney silly bands at target today on clearance, first thing I thought of was oooh great for FE gifts. Funny I didn't think, oh my kids would love these....can you tell where my mind is. So I bought them all lol :rotfl: Poor kids....can't tell them what they are for and I couldn't hide them fast enough. Good thing they are so young they can't put two and two together.

Well, I think I am no longer going to have to build an ARK. Yes, a biblical ARK, like Noah. It has been raining and raining and raining heavily with thunderstorms for several days now. My hubby's Dad sent pics this week from Ohio and it was pics of snow. I said, "Oh hell no" and then began laughing uncontrollably - guess I can't complain about the rain. Memories............I will never forget driving up from Columbus, OH to Cedar Point Rd on April 24th, 2005 in the SNOW. Even people that love snow are tired of it by then. We moved to Tampa two years later - April 25th, 2007 to be exact :goodvibes

It is finally going to be 78 tomorrow and we are going to Hollywood Studios.

Good luck to all of you who would like to relocate here :thumbsup2

I can't wait until I retire. We're going to snowbird in Arizona. These northern winters get more tedious as the years go by.

UUgghh.... just enough snow to cover the mud and make it more of a greasy type of mud. Car got stuck in the mud while on the way to school for boys and me to teach this morning. :headache::mad:

The neighbor (who does auto repair and towing) sent the lighter truck to pull me out... that got stuck... and he had to come w/ the second tow truck to pull the first one out before my car got pulled! :scared1:

Thank God we get cheap towing rates from him (a case of beer & CHEAP beer @ that!) :) May even buy him 2 cases for 2 trucks stuck! Too bad it wasn't an April Fool's joke ;) :rolleyes1

Sorry I haven't posted here for a while. Been busy, busy, busy. Even though I'm suppose to be semi-retired you would never know it.!!!

Hey Silverfox97, like you DW and I remember those "Snow Days" in Ohio. DW and I are originally from Springfield. About a stones throw from Columbus.................well maybe a little further then a stones throw!! We too, moved down here oh it's been about 20 years for us. We have never looked back!!! We LOVE it here in the Sunshine State!!!:cool2:

O.K. who here has advise on upgrading at the port? We are leaving in 14 days on our 10 night MR, and we are currently booked in an outside cabin (with large window) I'm hoping to snag a veranda room, which is what I originally had, then switched over for a military discount (big mistake)

It will come down to how may rooms are free. I would say arrive early to be one of the first in line and ask nicely.

How early? A lot of people on my cruise board are saying they plan to get there early in hopes of an upgrade. How early should I get there to beat them?! What time do the doors open? Do I need everything (all my luggage and family) or just my cruise docs?

I am not sure as I am only familiar with Port Canaveral. My best guess is to be there when they allow you to enter. Which could be a moving target depending on when the ship is cleared for disembarkation.

I hope everyone had a GREAT week-end.

I was just curious about how much prices had gone up for this cruise. I went on the DCL website and put in all of the same information I used when I booked this cruise to check on the price. It has gone up $600.00!!!:scared1:
Booking early sure do pay off!!!!

I booked ours the end of Feb. I checked this weekend too and ours would be 931 bucks more. :scared1: Makes me wonder HOW MUCH more I paid booking in late Feb.

We booked on board the Magic Jan 4th (so we got the 10% off and the OBC)and our Cat 6A is $1400 more now. Insane!!!

This past Friday, we moved our dummy cruise to a 7-night western Fantasy cruise in Dec 2012, and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was. We got our Cat 6A again (this time, cabin 8188 was open!!!), and I shutter to say, it was almost cheap!!!

I tried to see how much more ours would cost now and all the catagories like ours are sold out looks like! Pays to book early!:thumbsup2
