We booked on board the Magic Jan 4th (so we got the 10% off and the OBC)and our Cat 6A is $1400 more now. Insane!!!

This past Friday, we moved our dummy cruise to a 7-night western Fantasy cruise in Dec 2012, and I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was. We got our Cat 6A again (this time, cabin 8188 was open!!!), and I shutter to say, it was almost cheap!!!

Oh my gosh!! We're the ones in 8188, sorry. I don't know how you couldn't get it, because I didn't book this cruise until Jan 14th. Maybe somebody had it on hold and then when I went to look, it was released. You and your family are more than welcome to take a look at it!! I think the veranda is going to be awesome!!!

I imagine that is exactly what happened - the only far back-facing 6A aft verandahs that were avail on Jan 3rd (the day we set sail!) were our room (9674), and some on the 10th deck (which we were not interested in because of the overhang). We didn't want cat 6B, or 5E, or any of the 6As that were on the side of the ship - we really wanted to try the far back facing aft cabins. We are happy with 9674, though, because it's a non-connecting room, and there are only three 6A cabins that are non-connecting.

However, once we saw pics posted of the 8188 verandah, we were drooling over it and decided to try for it on the following cruise, and we got it

Thanks for the offer to see the room/verandah - I think in the first few pages of the thread someone mentioned setting up a room viewing so we could see some of the different room categories - I think that would be cool! I'd love to see the rooms with the porthole seats!!

Yeah, those look sweet. On our cruise in Jan, we had a porthole room on the Magic, and DD was mesmorized by it!!!

I'm soo glad you got it for your next cruise!! A room viewing would be really cool!! I would love to see the inside rooms and also the rooms with the porthole seat!

GORGEOUS day here today! Just little bits of snow left in areas that don't see as much sun! Asked if we had any trip plans this year, wishing for this year to be cruisin', but since time seems to fly, we will be cruisin' in no time! (next year)

I had been following that thread from it's inception - that thread is what gave me our top 3 room choices and talked me out of a Cat 5E and into a Cat 6A HallsofVA is my buddy

Wish I would've planned this out better, DIS Podcast cruise 3.0 sales the day after we get back. I think a B2B on the Fantasy then Dream would've been fun!

We are definitely the best Fantasy group..........We are sailing Podcast cruise 4.0 which is a 7-night western on the Fantasy in Dec 2012, and that group so far is pretty boring I am not feeling the comradery at all - they are nothing like this fun group

It'll be their b'day while we're on the ship. So 2 Eastern cruises 2 years in a row. Looking forward to trying the FOS and then sailing the Fantasy!

Welcome!! As you can see from the many pages, we're fairly chatty. Although it's been quiet for while, I have no doubt that it will pick back up soon.

So jealous that you're going on the Dream. I keep hoping that DH will give in and decide that we can go - he REALLY wants to sail with Admiral Donald but apparently not enough for a short cruise now and a longer one later on on the Fantasy.

Can't complain too much though, as instead, we're going to Puerto Rico this summer. A week at the beach with no responsabilities... can't wait!!

Getting very excited, we leave in 3 weeks from today for Disney World. We will be staying in the Tree Tops. My brother and his family are making their first visit to Disney. I am so excited for them.
On a cruise note DS8 keeps asking us if we could go on another cruise soon. I keep telling him we can't afford it, if he only knew. Now I know they will be excited to go on our secret cruise.
