~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

Thanks for posting. We figured (and hoped) Tangled would be onboard...I would bet in the Walt Disney theater one night. Last year we saw Bolt and Princess and the Frog in there. We actually were onboard for the prem'ear' of Princess and the Frog-too much fun at 12:01am!

Based on our last 2 years of cruising in late Nov/early Dec, Christmas movies should be playing on our stateroom tv's as well. We always turn on to watch Christmas Story run in a loop all night long.

we were on the Wonder 3 night cruise last year when they Prem-EARED Princess and the Frog - too funny!

I was going to go to the 12:01 AM show, but just couldn't stay up.

We are all excited to see Tangled this year, even if it's not the official prem-EAR.

OMG, Stephanie, for a minute I thought we were on the same cruise!!! But I think I figured out that you were on the Wonder...we were on the Magic! We had also figured that since they prem 'eared' Princess and the Frog, they would do the same with Tangled! So excited!!!:banana:

We were on the Magic last year...Eastern Caribbean Dec 5-12, 2009.

Hmmm, walking the 5k may be up my alley, I am definitely NOT a runner, but love to walk. And, I'm sure by then, I will have eaten WAYYYY more than usual and can use that exercise!

We can have a 5k group from our little Dis-Board group.

As for the movies, we all loved:

Up (yes, I cried, too)
Princess & the Frog
Toy Story 3 (Chris - I can't believe you said it was the weakest! - I cried in this one, too)

I've never heard of Last Song - oh wait, is that with Miley? I'm sure DD will want to see it.

I love dance movies, even ones with bad acting, so I may be watching Step Up 3D on my own...

DH wanted to see Sorcer's Apprentice, but it wasn't in theatres that long, so this may be his chance.

We can't wait to see Tangled.

Hope everyone had a nice Veteran's Day - a quick thank you to all the Vet's...past, present and future, for all they have done and do for us.

I had a nice day off with the kids...didn't get anything cruise-related done, but it was nice to not think about work AT ALL (okay, until my bosses boss called me at 4 and then I got annoyed).

This weekend I am getting ALL my cruise stuff done. FE gifts and packing...must get it all done before the Wii House party next weekend (we got the party box yesterday and got TWO games...Just Dance 2 and Just Dance Kids). We have about 26 people coming (I know, I'm insane) but should be fun, and exhausting, and probably frustrating as there is a HUGE age range in kids...and some of them are a lttle on the crazy side. However, I am known for speaking up, and if kids are misbehaving at my house, I will say something.

Hard to comprehend that there are only 2 more weekends before we leave...next weekend will be crazy with the party, and my kids (and their 4th grade class) are singing at a Wolfpack game (American hockey team) on Friday night, so that will be fun. HOWEVER....the next morning, DD's best friend is moving to Tennessee. I am not looking forward to them having to say goodbye in a big ol' public place...it makes me tear up just thinking about saying goodbye to Bela and her family. We are all really close, in fact, we went to WDW and on the cruise last year with them.

I'm happy that the cruise is the following week to take DD's mind off of Bela moving (DH is bummed too as Bela's dad is his best friend).

I am off to continue searching for a waterproof case for my camera or an affordable waterproof one...I think I find a good one and then find horrible reviews. Can't figure out what to do....

Holy cow - just caught up on pages and pages worth of reading!!! Glad to see everyone is so excited :goodvibes.

Stephanie - our thoughts are with you - so sorry for your loss.

Welcome to all the new people who joined the cruise! I cannot believe we will be in FL 2 weeks from tonight

It did motivate me to start packing so the dining room table is now covered with clothes! Just need dress shoes for both kids so hopefully can find a buy get one 1/2 off sale soon!

The kids are getting very excited and will be even more so tomorrow when I tell them Tangled is playing :thumbsup2.

Hope all is going well for everyone!

I thought Toy Story 3 was the best movie of 2010. I sobbed during the movie, on the drive home, thinking about it later that night... It was the best of the 3 Toy Story movies, I think.

I'm so excited I found you guys! I can't wait to tell the kids about Tangled! DD's both want to see that movie and were kinda sad that we would be in Disney then on the cruise so they would have to wait two whole weeks! (poor babies)

Thanks so much for listing the movies!!!!

I have a very busy day ahead of me! I'm heading out to find little prizes to put in our FE since I found out two late to get in on the exchange( boo hoo) I need to pick up all our last minute travel supplies and meds. Does anyone know how to find out what meds. they keep on the ship? I have a child with epilespy, should I bring worse case meds with me? or do they have emergency meds on the ship?

We are heading to the chilly New jersey shore this weekend for a big family weekend get together. Not much more time to be ready for our sat the 20 departure for the land of MOUSE!

I would bring all meds that you may need, in case. I always bring meds for us such as Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, Dayquil, Nyquil, Pepto, etc. I would rather have our brands and not use than have to get some from the medical center or wait for a shop to open. I woould especially bring meds for epilepsy...better safe than sorry.

We got in to late for the FE too. We are doing our own FE. I would be more than happy to drop a surprise off for your group. Just send me your stateroom and who is in your group.

Thanks,

Stephanie

OMG...we WERE on the same cruise!!!! :goodvibes Sorry, got confused what date went with what description...

I finished the next step in my FEs and ready to move on to the final step today! So they should be done and ready to go here shortly! So far, they are turning out like I had hoped! Now to get the other things together in bags and ready to go, think shipping them down might be a good idea...will go back and dig out the info! I should have been smart and written it down...:headache:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Another day off for me! Loving life!

We travel to that area often to visit the Wisconsin Dells. We drive up from the good ole Hawkeye State several times a year. That area is beautiful, especially in the summer and fall! It is one of our favorite places! We have friends who have told us we should just pack up and move to the Dells since we spend so much time there.

We live in Baraboo also. It is a great place to vacation. Have you been to Devils Lake ? It is a glacier lake , with towering cliffs around the lake. My DS loves to go and jump off Rock 8. ( Spot only the locals know about. :)

My sisters and my niece head up to the Dells every year (it's a few hours from where they live in IL), and in fact my sister went up to Castle Rock Lake this year and said it was beautiful. My stomping grounds in WI is Door County. When I lived in Chicago, that was a trip at least once a year, if not more. My husband and I actually were married in Chicago since my family all still lived there (it won out over the beach here in FL!), and then decided to honeymoon in Door County. Love it there!

Steph (VA Nana Tink) - you are getting closer and closer with those FEs...exciting! (I know, it was hanging over my head for sooooooo long!)

15 DAYS!!!!!!

A purse is not considered a carry-on. :thumbsup2

I'm carrying a back pack for my "personal item" on the plane and then a drag on. I will have a purse on the way back when I buy that new Dooney and Bourke purse on board. :cool1: My DH always carries a jump bag from the Army as his carry on. I swear that man can get 3 days worth of clothes in there and its small.

Heather, thanks for posting about the 5k. It looks like fun. The heat down there in December will be minimal. And if you get too hot just go jump in the water on the adult beach as you run by. (I wanted to say as we all ran by but I know without a doubt, I will be bringing up the rear on this one.) I have never been on the bike path so that will be a new adventure for me. I just have to remember to bring my camera.

Well the love affair continues with the white out. I had to take a break because my eyes were crossing. I better get back at it since I only have 9 more days of work, if you count the office. 11 if you count both jobs.

Have as great day All.

TTFN :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

thanks for the info yall!

Oh, the 5K sounds so tempting! If it weren't for my arthritic knees and the pavement running, I might just join everyone! Does anyone know if they have stationary bikes in the fitness center? I ride 5 to 10 miles a day (knee punishment, I know, but I love biking) and really do not want to let that go to the wayside (although I will probably only ride every other day).

Wow, everyone is just moving along with FEs! I keep thinking I'm done with those, but in reality all the parts are finished, I just have not packed them up in bags yet. (And I'm cheating a bit...everything goes into one bag per stateroom...ugh!)

Started with the packing this afternoon! Tried on clothes (2 dresses I expected to take are now too big! 3 dresses I thought I wouldn't be taking now fit!) and started putting together my piles of what goes, what may go, and what needs to be put in the back of the closet.

16 DAYS!!!!!!!

almost 100% sure I remember seeing stationary bikes in the exercise room when I went in there to run!

For Veteran's Day, I surprised my DH with a 2-hour massage at Massage Envy last night when he got home. He had a HORRIFIC work week, so it was badly needed any way. I think it's the 1st night he was able to sleep through the entire night. :)

Thanks for everyone's input on the movies. Since they're mostly showing during DS's nap times, DH and I will need to figure who gets to go to which one. This helps us narrow down to the top 2 or 3. :)

Re: the 5k. DH & I usually run (more like mosey-jog) about 3 miles when we do run and would like to try the 5k - esp. if we can mosey-jog/walk. Can anyone tell us how we get around the Club time? I think the CC 5k starts at 8:30 and the Club starts at 9??

JUST 2 MORE WEEKS!!!

:yay: <= This is me this morning. Two weeks from today I'm leaving on a jet plane. Ok actually one with a prop, but I will take it.

Annabel: You might check with Flounders or Kid Club. I know that Rachel and Brian are in the same boat as you are. If Disney knew it would be more than one family, they might be more willing to open it up early. It wouldn't hurt to ask. :confused3

Its a cloudy day in Southwest Missouri. We are finally trying to get the rain that we need. Just as long as there is no lightning so we can get games in.

I've managed to find two desk tops, but that only means I've moved the piles to a different desk. I best get off of here (and quit lurking) and get through the filing, check book ledgers, pleadings, etc. that await me.

Have a great day all.

JUST 2 MORE WEEKS!!!

Love Massage Envy. I was going to make myself an appointment today and then time got away from me. Now I need to figure out when I have that time period over the weekend.

I am lurking on the boards while I am on a webinar for work....I'm at home, so it's on the phone and the laptop, but doing MUCH more fun things on the Disboards.

I REALLY need to get off this call adn start changing over my clothes before the kids get home from school, I also need to start and finish my FE gifts this weekend!

I am freaking out that we only have 2 weeks left and I am having that big House Party for the new Wii Just Dance game. I must be insane. We have 29 people (incluidng my family). What was I thinking????

Just transfered over the last 70 points from my Disney Visa to my rewards card, so we can use that against our onboard account. :woohoo:

I need to be productive and need a big ol kick in the pants!
